Fresno Chaffee Zoo Reviews

I've been coming here since I was a baby. I just started the tradition of coming here every Sunday at 2017. I love this place and I love the animals. If you've lived in California but never gone to the Fresno Zoo you have no childhood

It just seem to me the animals didn't have much room to move around in .. it was nice though

Zoo has upgraded throughout the years..bu t needs to relax in their zoo passes as who can use. Too strict on policies.

I have better than this Zoo but it is not bad. A wonderful place to spend with the family.

Not much to see. Very out dated especially their little carnival area.

Good place and nice animals.! Got to feed a giraffe!

Love the chaffee zoo. And the new African Adventure Safari side its awesome my family and I loved it.

Enjoyed a delicious meal with loved ones while basking in the sunlight as we watched several types of animals in what appears to be something close to their natural habitat. Good times

Love all the exotic animals! When I was a little girl, all I remember at the zoo was !

The zoo is one of my favorite things to do with my kids. They are always working so hard to do more, the Safari area is amazing and there are more expansions to come!

Great staff. They always have events there which makes every visit a new fun experience

After being new to the area, I was interested in exploring new places. This Zoo was fabulous.

Had to pay to get into park. Park restroom were not stocked. The zoo didn't have all the animals I was expecting, was happy we could pack our lunch. Zoo was clean kids had fun

The zoo is always timeless visit. Since I was a girl, the zoo has always been a favorite. The new additions and upgrades are a plus for the newer generations but definitely the classic family fun or even for a date.

We love this place. A great variety of animals to observe. The African Savanna is beautiful with lions, rhinos, giraffes, and many more. We spent about 3-4 hours here. Make sure to catch the Winged Wonder bird show when you come.

It's amazing. People should really take children here to enjoy and learn about the different types of animals.

Have been coming since I had memories honestly. Staff is extremely knowledgeable as well and always willing to share what they know. Animals seem well looked after and many seem to be rescues so. I never feel like I'm looking at prisoners you know?

It s a zoo what i can I say. Small city zoo. Has few activities which kids loved was feeding the giraffe. Kids were very excited to see the dinosaurs. It would be nicer if it was more motion activated. But still we had a blast. There is story land next door for rides which is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Great zoo. You can feed giraffes. There is a water area where kids can run and splash around. The food is expensive like all zoos but it is very well made and delicious.

Love this zoo! Tickets are reasonable and so is the food!

Super awesome exhibits! Fantastic way to spend a day

Simple a beautiful zoo. Animals are well cared for and staff egar to help and teach about their awsome animals. This is my second time here......I love it.

Would have given 5 star but social distancing sucked there.

I love this Zoo, this place is great. I've been coming here my whole life and I love that they are continuing to invest in it and make it place that I want to keep coming back to.

Love this place take my grandchildren every chance I get you just have to go.

Roeding Park is always clean thru restrooms & landscaping & parking lots, and through out the premise of Roeding Park & love the Fresno Chaffee Zoo too.

Absolutely great zoo. 2nd to San Diego zoo! I love their open safari.

Well the place is good I like to go for a walk and rest a place with a lot to see a good place

What an amazing day our family had at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. I am so impressed with this zoo! Kopje Lodge is so impressive as a dining area. You feel as though you are visiting Africa or Jurassic Park. When you go to the Sea Lion exhibit. Be sure to go below. So you can see under the waters surface. Awesome! This zoo visit will leave you feeling like you aren't anywhere near Fresno. They have tried so hard to mimic the animals natural habitat. I highly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed!! Thank you too all that care for the animals and maintain this beautiful zoo.

Most animals were asleep due to the heat. Could be cleaner

Not too bad. Not a whole lot of animals and a bit pricey. But you can bring your own food and drinks and there is plenty of fun to be had there!

Zoorastic was awesome! And if you go when they open at 9 am it less busy and you can watch a lot of the animals eat.

My son loved going to the zoo at the time that we went with my friend! They have really expanded a lot with all the different animals & changes in the zoo! #Greatforfamilyfun

The African adventure area is beautiful!!! Had a grate time with my family looking at the new areas

Beautiful! However too hot to be visiting. Lol visit early mornings or evenings if possible.

Amusement is old and needs renewing. Workers need to try to make the best out of this place.

Great Zoo. Great price to get in. We went when the weather was cool. There were no crowds and the animals were so active. My kids had so much fun. We stayed about 4 hours and saw everything.

I took my son on a day trip to Fresno yesterday to the Zoo, mall, dinner and movie...Wow they have done so much with this zoo, we loved it super relaxed not crowded beautiful animals and the absolute stars are their zookeepers!! So personal they talk to you and answer any and all questions you have and are the sweetest people. One also told me they have special areas for kids and adults with special needs and like my son he is autistic with many sensory issues...i am definitely going to try a trip with him next time. anyway for the kids to calm down after a meltdown or whatever may be bothering them. What a plus in my book!! The cafe they have there we ate at is right on the African Adventure very yummy food above what i would expect. You also can sit right there outside and watch the elephants, rhinos, giraffe etc. while you eat such fun!! The animals are superbly taken care of as well...We truly enjoyed our time there and will most definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family.

You may have to pay for literally everything but it is worth it.

The zoo staff are great with the kiddos. Wide variety of animals for everyone to enjoy. Multiple snack huts and souvenir shops throughout the zoo.

We love the Fresno zoo. It's not far away, and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The new Africa area is beautiful with plenty of space for the animals to roam. The older spaces are a bit more constrained, but the zoo is working hard to renovate everything. We brought our family here for a few hours a few weeks ago and we all loved it.
