Best Zoo I have ever been too! Inexpensive and an amazing experience all together. Staff is helpful and friendly. Not a small zoo by any means but the feeling is very personal. Has quickly become my favorite place to visit in Fresno.
An honest good day of fun. Fun way to spend the day with the kids. And, for the animal enthusiast kids Chaffee offers summer and winter zoo camps which is a great opportunity for kids to learn about animals.

I had to give it a 5. The African safari addition is just amazing.
So fun and so much to see. Park rangers all around to answer any questions. Prices are very good. Where we are wasn't ridiculously overpriced. I was very pleasantly surprised. Drive up from Gilroy to take our 3 year old grandson who had a blast!! The reptile house and of course the dinosaurs!!
What a fun day! Great deal on the price of admission, lots of great animals to see. The African safari exhibit is quite splendid. Members of staff are friendly and passionate and know all the animals names and back-story's. Can't wait for my next visit! Snack and food options while inside are limited and expensive.
Went with my sons class and had alot of fun. My son really enjoyed the animals he got to see them all without having to fight his way through. The food was a little pricey but im sure the cost to take care of the animals isnt cheap either.

The zoo experience has been totally transformed from when i was there a few years ago. I was Pleasantly surprised by the new African exhibit!!! The animals look happy and healthy. Can't wait till all the animals are able to roam free. It's an excellent and clean place to take your family and friends.

Such a fun family day! They have water and sand areas for kids to play in too. Loved feeding the giraffes and sting Ray's, and they have sharks you can pet in Sting Ray Bay now. Really cool!
Quaint little zoo, great selection of animals, doable in an afternoon with the kids.

The zoo was awesome before they started making changes cuz they expected Fresno residents to pay for them, then when minimum wage went up guess what so did the price of entrance so Fresno residents are paying for that... is that right? that Fresno has money in the budget but won't use it to pay the employees there sad ..almost 40 for two people and 1 child,closer to 80 to snack too and ride the train so we don't take our baby like before we used to go every weekend now just when he crys to go. Wish we can go back to the good old days.
Only complaint is that I came during a construction period. Loved it tho.
Fresno Chaffer Zoo has had it's share of heartaches but it bounced back everytime.The Zoo coupled with it's boat rides train ride around the Zoo and friendly people who work there has made it fun for me and many. Fresnans

This was this first time and we had so much fun! My favorite was the giraffes. Will go again! Highly recommend. :)
Visited this zoo this year with my kids. We Loved it! We went on a Saturday and it did get busy but we still had a good time. It does get less packed during the weekday. The paths are smooth for strollers, restrooms were clean, the park was clean. No graffiti or trash laying around. A lot of educational areas and the Safari area is really cool! There's a restaurant right by it so you can eat and see the animals. My kids loved it. Petting the stingrays is a must! It's really cool and feeding the giraffes too! Will be returning!
It's been a while since my last visit to the zoo. While fun, it's not exactly something I would get excited about. I was completely amazed by the huge improvements they've made there. The Africa exhibit is spectacular and getting a chance to feed the giraffes was super cool. Was not expecting anything close to this level especially here in Fresno. They did a great job on their food concessions too. Great variety and really good too. Again something I wasn't expecting and now a viable lunch/dinner option for the family. If you haven't been here in a while, check it out and prepare to be wowed.

I came here for Zoo lights and the family and I loved it. I plan to get a zoo membership for the babies and I. The reptile center is their favorite. Great place for birthday parties too.
Really amazing trip! I loved seeing all of the interesting animals. It was very hot today so they were not very active but it was still entertaining seeing them.
I like how they added on to the zoo. It would be nice if they could make bigger areas for all of the animals.
Had such a wonderful time with the family. I love touching the sharks and rays. Everyone should go and have fun with the animals.
They've really stepped it up a few notches with the African exhibit. Hand feeding the giraffes is an experience I'll never forget. Petting sharks and stingrays seems to be fairly standard these days, but hand feeding them added something special. Great way to spend a day!
Favorite place in Fresno so Glade they have been adding new attractions.

I love this place.. I visit at least once every other month.it is excellent for the whole family and all employee's are kind and the animals look happy..definitely check this out if you have a chance the new Africa exhibit is beautiful
I was truly impressed by the renovations that have been done to the zoo. It's nothing like it was 20 someting years ago. The animlas have more space and it has a very natural habitat feel to it. I loved it!!!

It was a great time spent with my son. Its newly renovated. The garlic fries are the best. I liked the improvements, and the atmosphere. I felt like I was out of town.

They really upgraded the only thing I didn't like is that I didn't see a way to get to the elephants is that the furthest you can go up to is the giraffes
Zoo was a great way to get the kids out the house. We got the combo tickets that allowed us to pet the sting Rays and feed the giraffes. Definitely worth it. Kids had fun!

This place is amazing. The zookeepers are great at what they do. They are so patient with the kids that come to the zoo.
Nice place to spemd the day no matter how young or old you are. My parents used tonbeing me here when I was a kid. Now inget tombring my kidsm. I love the new additions and whats new to come.

Beautiful zoo, animals look happy....today the we're teaching the young one, self defense I think eating by the African safari is real cool, hard to beat.

I took my nephews here when my sister came to visit us and they absolutely loved it! Such a great place for children, they were so sad to leave!
There is so much to see. It has definitely improved over the years. My kids love it so much we had to get a membership.
