We haven't been there in years and it all looked good. The new part of the zoo was great. Our Zoo is looking great!! We took my 86 year old mom and she enjoyed herself and the food was there good too. I highly recommend everyone to visit it.

Went to see the African Adventure area. It was done very well. The animals were all out to see. Some sunning and napping. Ate lunch at the African Adventure eatery. Food was good and price reasonable. They also have specialty coffees and baked goods. All in all a good day. Get there early on weekdays as there are MANY school children visiting.

This zoo was great! Loved the exhibits, the food was really good and we loved eating while watching rhinos and elephants! My three year old had so much fun, and everything was very easy for him to see. Would definitely recommend this zoo to anyone!

Nice little zoo. Lots to see. The animals look well cared for. There are staff/zookeeper talks throughout the zoo where you can witness feedings, learn about them and ask questions. We enjoyed experiencing touching the sting rays and sharks as well as feeding the giraffes. Loved the elephant enclosure, which is mixed with other animals like zebras and rhinos where they have a large area to roam. There's also a splash pad for the kids because it's hot in California!

A few years ago this zoo was not in the best shape and was no different than any other small town zoo. In recent years, however, they have made some excellent improvements to the facility including an expansion they call African Adventure. This area is awesome and houses many animals that call Africa their natural habitat like elephants, lions, cheetahs, rhinos and giraffes (that you can feed for just $3.00) but also some not so well known or favorites animals such as wildebeests and antelopes. The animals are fairly active for being in containment which is nice to see and the staff is always do friendly and never minds when my kids ask a million questions about the animals. The food in this expansion is great but fairly pricey. I have a family season pass for 2 adults and 3 kids (we needed to add on a child as it normally comes with just 2) which costs about $75.00-$80.00 a year which is definitely worth it if you go more than 2 times a year. The pass gives you discounts throughout the zoo on food and souvenirs as well as a admission to some special events like their ice cream social and some events not open to the general public.

What a beautiful zoo! The staff/trainers were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the animals. The elephant and white rhino enclosure shown in the first picture is so amazing, it s like something out of a movie.

All the animals were easy to see and seemed happy in their habitats.

Constantly saw workers doing their best to keep the environment clean and safe.

We even got to see a trainer chat talk about the elephants and show us how they care for them!

We will definitely be going back.

The dog park is divided into two sections to separate small and large dogs. There's a small dog play group that meets every Saturday called Tiny Paws Fresno! Very friendly dogs and people!

Lovely medium sized zoo. We spent a couple of hours there and there was far more we could have seen. The enclosures are clearly built with the well being of the animals in mind, and the staff are engaging and knowledgeable. Feeding the giraffes was also a lot of fun.

Although it was hot, the Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a great place to visit. Very affordable, lots of animals, the staff members are very nice, polite and helpful, and the food was very reasonable.

Very very nice. I like how they've made more space for the animals. The African adventure is super neat. The new Sea lion cove is awesome as well. Becoming a member pays off too. My family loves it, and so do my niece and nephew. My son who's 7 months old loves looking around and this was a great place to take him to. Only bad thing is the ugly heat. You don't need much money, at least I didn't, my daughter only cares for ice cream and a drink.

The zoo has improved so much. The animals have much more room for themselves. And for the first who visit now have a beautiful dinning/lounge area in the Africa Adventure section of the zoo.
