Fresno Chaffee Zoo Reviews

My family and I enjoyed it. We did think it would be bigger though. Food was expensive and we didn t care for the extra charges to interact with the animals like the charge for feeding the giraffes and things like that. Overall experience was a good one though. We would go back again.

First grade trip with grandson and buddies had an awesome day

It is a beautiful place to share with the family and get to know the different types of exotic animals in the world.

Lots of animals to see just wish they had a few more activities to do.

It was a quit minute I haven't gone to the zoo here in Fresno and just 2 days ago I went to the zoo with my little 7 month daughter and my wife and couple nephews and I can tell you it's the best trip ever I had the in my life

Guess Stl. is the only zoo that is free, overall the creatures no matter what zoo

This zoo is awesome. I love the Africa exhibit.
The last in the food court wasn't super nice so that's why I gave it 4 stars. But all the employees standing around to answer questions were very knowledgeable and informative.

Another great zoo experience. Love talking with the knowledgeable keepers.

The afraican Safari addition/extension is incredible! May God bless all the animals in the Zoo and keepers to have a Small and content Utopia suitable for everyone, praying and asking God for blessings upon this whole place, praying for beautiful and timely transitions and transfers for each and every animal back into the wild when the is perfect, God have your way! Amen

Very sad zoo. Never thought a zoo could be so boring. It has very little animals. The layout of this zoo is very frustrating. More than half of the animals are not visible

It's great! Plenty of animals such as elephants, rhinos, tortoises, cheetahs and more. 2 places to eat inside. I've only stopped by the cafe which isn't overly pricey for a quick snack. Love that at $12 a person it's still affordable for us locals and of course the expansions are great!

Great place to go on a date. Chaffee Zoo is better than I remember when I was a kid. Kyle Train was relaxing and great places for selfies. The Park makes a great picnic date.

Bought our tickets online and didn't have to line up at the entrance. Zoo is clean, nice place to spend your day with the family.

The additions to the zoo over the past few years have really made our zoo special. The kids love it every time we visit.

Awesome exhibits and wonderful staff. Animals were exciting to witness and interact with when allowed.

Proud to be a member of this zoo! We visit frequently and love the Sea Lion Cove and now the Savannah!! We can't wait to see what the future holds for this fabulous zoo.

It's not very big or I did not go through everything but if it's fun for the children

The best zoo in California and one of the best in the world, wonderful displays, knowledgeable keepers, great family trip. We have had a membership for 3 or 4 years and go every couple of months. I always learn something new. Parking is a bit of a pain on weekends

I had a great time in the zoo. My family was always entertained and we got to see a lot of animals. We had the chance to visit the new play area and it was great to finish the day. I would not recommend visiting before u r almost ready to go due to the fact that the kids may not want to leave.

My boys and I really enjoyed our animal adventure today. Just about every animal was out and about basking in the sun. It wasn't crowded and everyone for the most part wore masks. We really enjoyed feeding the giraffe. Because of social distancing we actually had a good amount of time to visit and ask questions. Everything was clean and the staff was polite and said hello all day. Great experience. We will be back soon.

My favorite place in Fresno to take the kids!! The African Savannah area is absolutely gorgeous and you can feed the giraffes!

Loved the new African safari, very well done and the new lunch center us nice.

I love our zoo and the African Adventure with the Twiga Terrace. The new cafe has yummy food as well!!

I be always loved the Chaffee Zoo, and win all the upgrades they ve done to it it s one of my favorite places to take my kiddos in Fresno!!

Taking my son here, grew from a labor I secretly thought I could do without, to some of the best times remembered .

Zoo lights was amazing! Very beautifully decorated. You can purchase the souvenir cup for free refills of hot coco all night! I will most definitely do again. They have a very nice area for the kids to play before heading home. It s called Dino Dig, it s shaded with plenty of sitting for the parents. During summer days they have splash area for the kids to cool off and in the water. The playground is shaded as well.

Very nice staff and very clean. Enjoyed all the new exhibits for the African animals.

I hadn't been here since 1999 when it was "Roeding Park Zoo" I wasn't expecting such a great experience! Before we arrived, I figured the kids would be bored, and ready to leave the zoo in an hour. The whole family was impressed, and 3 hours flew by. The Africa exhibit is a truly immersive experience. When you take a picture here, people will think you were in Africa. In addition to many awesome exhibits, you can feed Girraffes, Pet Goats, Touch StingRays, and Sand Sharks. You can even feed a Stingray! Definitely worth checking out!

Good for 5 year-olds and younger. Playland was closed, probably for the winter.

Zoo lights were ok. Nothing special. Fun for the kids.

Best place for the whole family year round!! The animals are all healthy and well cared for. The grounds are kept clean and free of hazards! Super easy to push our stroller wherever needed! Great hands on kid areas for our 2 year old. Been coming here for years and they just keep improving! 10/10 would recommend

Zoo is kept clean, professional staff, great food, wonderful animals and an incredible safari!

Love the new kids water park. Parking was easy. Staff was nice. Bring sunblock and water. Wear a hat.

Considering Our virus situation wasn't bad at all lines were little long but if you get your tickets online won't have to sit in line for too long..... Baby's head fun that's all that matters

Such an amazing experience. Every time I come here something has changed for the better. The Serengeti is breathtaking. Visiting from Oregon and made SURE to stop in.

my granddaughter loved the tiger who was pacing and growling, the elephants and flamingos. alot of the animals were hidden or sleeping not sure if it was the time we went or the heat.

What a true hidden treasure in Fresno. Such a great value for the money cannot beat this for a family Day full of fun. Not over commercialized like larger zoos vary personal

My daughter is 13 months and she loves it here. We actually ended up buying a membership and come about once or twice a month now.

Parking sucks but the zoo is awesome and the cafe is great.
