Prices needs to be better esp for those whom live here in town... I would say make it affordable for the town and it would help out the zoo with funds for those animals... Its cheaper in L.A zoo at times...which is why people go more there...

This zoo is wonderful. The price is very reasonable ($12 per adult, children's prices vary by age but are less). The zoo is landscaped beautifully, they take good care of the animals (which means you may not see certain animals if it's too hot outside), and the food near the African exhibit if very good (but pricey). Costs $5 to park for the day (but gives you access to the surrounding park). Bring $3 to feed the Giraffes! Petting zoo and wonderful reptile house also available. Bathrooms clean and well stocked. Family bathrooms also available.

By far the best zoo I've been to. If you go shortly after opening, there is hardly anyone there and the weather is awesome. Definitely better than the LA and Indianapolis zoos. it always had a very reasonable price to get in.

Never been more disappointed. I haven't left my home since March 20th due to the coronavirus quarantine, and I did today to go to the zoo! Before I arrived I was under the impression that anyone over the age of 12 would be required to wear a face mask while there. Once I entered the gates to the zoo it was quite a surprise when over 95% of the people in the zoo had no face mask what so ever, and it was not being enforced. In fact, even some of the staff of the zoo had masks on yet were pulled down under their chins. The fact that the Fresno Chaffee Zoo would encourage large groups of people to gather, with children, without any sort of protection during the time of a pandemic is quite shocking to me and makes me question whether or not i should continue to support them financially. They are willing to accept peoples money, and potentially risks hundreds of peoples of lives when all they had to do was enforce a mask police. If Costco can do it, why can't they? For me, I will be seeing about getting a refund on my membership, I don't want to fund a zoo that only worries about the dollars and not about its patrons.

Hands down the best zoo on the west coast! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave a jungle based nature is present. My god kids love this place. The amount of exotic animals present is surreal. The pictures don t even scratch the surface on how awesome this zoo really is. I love the detail placed here. The kids had a blast, but I can say I might ve enjoyed the experience just as much.

Feeding the animals was a large part of our day. They are so friendly. The staff is very aware and alert. They know the animals so well. I was very pleased with the pictures I was able to get with the animals so close. Feeding the animals really creates the want to feed yourself. The food spots spread out across the zoo does the tummy right. They have proper meals for both adults and children.

A must see is the giraffes. The line to view them was amazing. They really capture the attention of everyone. Money very well spent for a full day at the zoo with the little ones. Will certainly return in the near future to stay informed on new additions to the zoo family.

Came here with my family on an off day. It was an awesome trip to this zoo! They have a good variety of animals and reptiles. Animals look well taken care of. Admission, parking, and even food are of reasonable cost. My toddler son really enjoyed seeing reptiles, orangutans, elephants, and rhinos. He also had a blast in the Dino Dig area. Was a great experience and will come back. Some friends say it's the best zoo around(better than Oakland and SF).

As for the negatives reviews below.
1. Prices. This place is NOT that expensive . Money goes to caring for the animals and employees. If PRICES are an issue then go park or stay home
2. Animals. Many of these animals are endangered or wouldn't last in the wild. They are well taken care of and in a clean environment.
3. Parking. Parking DOES stink!! I agree on that but arrive early then.

Really another dead elephant. I thought it was meant to be better now? Shut down the large exhibits that house animals in inadequate conditions. Keep only animals the zoo is able to properly care for and allow them to live more like their natural habitat.

Amazing zoo! Almost every habitat had a very knowledgeable intern available to answer any questions. The exhibits allow for great movement and guest visibility of the animals. The number of bathrooms and water fountains are amazing. You are never more than a short walk from either item. Most importantly is the cost. The admission cost is very low. You get a great, all day value at this zoo. The food, also, is very reasonable. Personal pizza for 8$? Yep, and it was very good. $2 bottle sodas. The mac and cheese was the highlight of lunch though. Amazing!

So much fun! I hadn't been to this zoo in 10 years and so much has changed. They have done some amazing improvements and additions. It is very affordable and a great time for all ages. The exhibits are all well done and you can easily view the animals. There are also two great locations to eat delicious food at affordable prices.

Love visiting here and my kids seeing all the animals.
Their shows could use some work, not entertaining at all and to much mention of saving planet earth. If your going to be convincing get some humor and skill back in the shows.

I love the zoo. I only have 2 complaints, that "zooracic park" thing was stupid. The other thing is that I never see the keepers out. Used to be you would see them around even if it was keeper talk time. I miss that

We have a family membership and it has been a great value. We have a great Zoo which is only getting better. Recently too some family who were visiting from Hawaii and they had a great time and were extremely impressed with the Zoo they want to make it a regular activity when they fly over. I went to the Zoo as a child and am very proud of the improvements they have made locally to the Zoo as well as the conservation efforts they are now a part of.

The zoo has really been upgraded since the past few years. There are still new construction along the way. It's a nice place for my family and I to come enjoy the animals. Bring extra cash to feed the giraffes for $3 or pet the sting rays! You can spend hours here. Love it.
