Great little zoo. Feeding the giraffes is a must!!!!

Really has gotten worse over the years, but still doable for my dogs.

A very nice time us and our kids had so much fun. Food was awesome as well love the new African Safari lagoon.

Filled with a lot of great animals you will enjoy seeing them with your family

It ok for some were for the dog to go it was better were it use to be

This zoo is amazing!! The sea lions cove is my favorite exhibit. I always have a new experience everytime I visit. The zoo keepers are very friendly and informative. We have a zoo pass so sometimes we just go to have lunch. Fresno's best place to visit!

Perfect size zoo to walk in a few hours. Staff was very friendly throughout the zoo.

I always love visiting here! I take my kids, but go for myself as well. Great place to eat too. Many restrooms which is nice. You can ask anyone about pretty much anything and get an answer. The bird show is awesome. The petting zoo is great too. There is really a place for ALL AGES to enjoy. They even have a water feature area for little ones. I have kids ages 2, 12 and 15. ALL love going.

This is a great zoo! Our favorite parts are feeding giraffes and petting stingrays. Giraffe feeding is a couple of dollars and petting stingrays is a bit more but you can get in for free with annual passes. You do pay for parking but it's only about $5. Get there right when it opens for a great spot. There are tons of great features and you definitely won't see everything in one day. Bring water and snacks for sure. Sunscreen up to. There are some places that aren't shady!

It was clean and staff was great but the enclosures are way too small. The tiger was so stressed it was pacing terribly, overly skinny as well. Tbh a lot of animals seemed small in size compared to others. Quite a few had such depressed, sad faces, and were constantly pacing, it broke my heart!! The tiger was the saddest of them all If you can't handle seeing animals in stress this isn't the place to go right now, maybe it'll change once they finish construction on the new habitat. Zoo needs to make better enclosures so the animals aren't so depressed asap.

Like the San Diego zoo, but 1/3 of the price. Everyone is super friendly, the animals are rescues and look very happy and healthy. Amazing layout at the k lodge so you have lunch watching the animals in the Savana. Can't beat that

It's an excellent zoo for the size and city it's in. Very nice, lots of shade, and the African display is beautiful.

Beautiful and well maintained zoo. Lots of space between exhibits to space yourself away from other families. Several outdoor dinning options, hand sanitizer station easliy available and clean restrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful for the most part. We did have a very negative experience at the giraffe feeding. The giraffes themselves where awsome. You can get up close to see them. Where it went wrong was the very rude and unhelpful paid staff. They clearly need more training in customer service. It was not organized and no signs to where you should stand or park your stroller. The hand sanitation was placed after the lettuce pick up area so you had to walk to that point then go back to pick up the lettuce. The staff was barking out orders. A few signs and proper placement of items would have made it easier on everyone. At one point we were the only ones in the pavilion so it was not like the staff had a lot to do. It just needs to be better organized so you know what to do. Otherwise the feeding of the giraffes was interesting. The volunteer staff was great. They specifically explained what we should do and told us about the animals. Overall the zoo was really fun and a great place to spend the day.

One of the best zoological gardens anywhere! But currently remodeling and moving many of the exhibits leaving lots of empty areas. Very popular in Fresno. The African Adventure is amazing and also the Sea Lion Cove. We purchase annual membership so our children and grandchildren always have a zoo visit to look forward to when they come to see us in Fresno. Feed a giraffe! Pet the stingrays! Chillax in the Amazonian Rainforest!

What a great zoo, you can spend all day there! Splash area for kids in hot day!

We have a family membership and go frequently, the kids love it. The facilities are clean and kept up and the staff is friendly. There's activities for kids of all ages like feeding animals or the petting zoo.

The Chaffee Zoo is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! My dance crew, McCoy Hip Hop, performed for Zoobilation and Zoo Lights and we just did not want to leave. We walked around before and after our performances and was just amazed at all of the work that went into the zoo. We also loved how friendly and helpful the zoo staff was. We are looking forward to going back!

This is definitely one of my favorite zoos. I have been to quite a few throughout CA and this one is awesome. Great prices and some of the best living spaces

Great zoo! Offers military discount so it was free to park and 1/2 price for zoo admission. Very clean including restrooms. Lots of great animals to see and I highly recommend the bird show. It was my favorite part.

I have seen many zoos in California and Chaffee is still my favorite. The layout is beautiful, there are a wide variety of animals to observe and the food is delicious. There is seating throughout the park. The zoo also offers a variety of kids activities throughout the year. I highly recommend purchasing a membership, especially if you are a Fresno resident. The membership will also get you discounts at other zoos.

I've been coming to this zoo for three decades and it's one of the best zoos in the country. I highly recommend the membership and frequent returns so you can see what's new- there's always something going on!

Super fun, bring lots of water and snacks for the kiddos or drop a suggestion box so we can sell organs for the food. Still fun though!

The zoo is a wonderful place to go for families or really anybody who is interested in animals. I love that they have done such a good job using public and private finding to make such great improvements. Makes me happy to vote for Measure Z and buy a zoo membership every time!

The new Africa exhibit is very well done. Our family really enjoys visiting. There is also a very cool temporary dinosaur exhibit (leaves in October 2019)

Excellent place to spend a few hours, especially if the weather cooperates. Our son loves feeding the giraffes and I especially like petting the sting rays. The new African Safari area is beautiful. If you have kids, it is definitely worth investing in the annual membership. The food in the newer section is awesome too.

This is honestly the nicest zoo I've gone to. The exhibits are beautiful, the food and souvenirs are reasonable in price, and the animals are happy and healthy. 10/10 would reccommend

It is a fun place, and more for my children, I have fun with them watching the animals, being in the zoo is a good place to be together, or seeing the nature of God, it is beautiful ..

I love this park. Nice atmosphere, great people watching and there's plenty of picnic tables and shady spots to make yourself comfortable.

Went to Zoo lights, whole park was lit up, very family oriented. Loved the experience.

Alot of new updates still could improve on stuff but much better than a few years ago

Visited 2 weekends in a row. Not that its that big, but had enough fun to see it again. Giraffe feeding, Stingray petting/feedings, and a petting zoo for the kids. The kids almost had more fun than I did!

If you haven't been here for a while you are in for a treat! They have updated and remodeled so much in the last couple years. The newest and most impressive additions have included Sea Lion cove, an otter habitat, the new African Safari with lions, cheetahs, and rhinos.

Very good but many animals were missing, zebras, tigers, pumas, white wolves, leopard etc.

There were hardly any animals out. We got there at 2 they still charged us $14.95

Best in Central California, you can't go wrong for a fun day with kids, good food, affordable and a very nice animal selecction

The Chaffee Zoo staff are an amazing team eager to great you with a smile.

Very very nice now, it has become a place like the outdoor to explore. Today not really hot so most aminals are active.

There is so much to do and look at. The food is amazing and the animals look so happy and taken care of. One of the best family places to go in Fresno!!

We had so much fun feeding the giraffe. It was only 3 dollars. 3 dollars is the cost to purchase a leaf of lettuce. Visited during the week and avoided all the crowds.

Looks better than ever, bought the season pass, my kiddos love it
