It's a great little zoo, they're always trying to find new ways to keep you conning back. The petting zoo is free and the sting ray area only costs $2! It's a great area to bring little ones and the keepers will answer all your random questions about the animals.

A good cheap place to go hang out for the day. It's been a long time since I've been but just as fun as I remember it. Plus they added on a whole new section and did a really good with it.

Fun place to come and hangout to look at the beautiful animals I really wished they had more animals that we could see since most of them hide away lol but other then that I loved going and my 1 year old loved it too !

A diamond in the rough of the big city. Improvements to animal habitats over the years is a plus. Zookeepers have great passion and respect for animals. Dino animatronics is a site to behold. Must see if you are a child of adventure age 1-100!

They don't really have a big selection of animals to look at.We couldn't see a good hand full of them because the animals weren't let out or the animals spaces were being cleaned. Food and items are pricey as expected in any park. What I didn't expect is to pay for a second admission just to see the dinosaur exhibit inside the same park. And most of the staff were nice that is until I got to the seal training. The lady that talks through the hole show was genuinely bothered that my 3 year old was walking around while she was talking. So once he tossed a water bottle to my niece. She was like"don't throw objects and have a seat bud. It's distracting to everyone." But she was the only one who seemed distracted by it. But what she had said wasn't the problem the true problem was she rolled her eyes and shook her head as in disbelief that a 3 year can't sit still. Hello it's a zoo were people take their kids to see animals my 3 year old son is not the first nor the last child that won't be able to sit still. I just think if your going to work where there's kids you just have learn to work though it and be patient.

So I recently decided to take my kids to the zoo. I thought it would be cool for them to see some of the animals that grace our TV screen with their own two eyes. I got to experience the SF zoo and I loved every minute of it. When we got there I instantly loved the realistic layout of every animal's enclosure. The zoo seemed well kept and the animals looked healthy and vibrant. That was until we got to the Tiger. First of all he was pacing back and forth obviously stressed but that I could have overlooked because it's common for some animals to become stressed in captivity. The thing that nipped and pulled at my heart strings was his frail extremely thin stature. He looked severely malnourished and it literally broke my heart to see him in such a state. It really bothered me to show my kids this Tiger (especially since he was one of animals they were looking forward to seeing). I never had a negative thought about animals in zoos but seeing him made it clear what PETA had been preaching all these years. Kind of ruined my perception of the zoo and I don't think I'll be going to the zoo anytime soon. Just my opinion.

A really amazing experience this is a wonderful zoo. We spent about 3hrs here. It was raining but we still made sure to see everything. The staff are super friendly and professional and so helpful with every question.

I had 6 hours to fill before checking into my AirBnB so I decided to go to this zoo. I've had so much fun here, this is such a deal considering the price of admission! Feeding a giraffe was a great experience and I appreciate that they allow the giraffes to decide if they want to interact with people. Beers were kind of pricey but were worth it considering the views (which include a baby rhino). Heck of a deal, highly recommend.

place was PACKED, parking sucked($5 for parking/entering area) had to walk like 7 minutes to get to zoo area but zoo was fun and we had a blast. African Adventure was pretty cool. $10 entry fee is not to bad. Go on a weekday less people, more parking space!

We just spent a great day at the Fresno Chafee Zoo. It was a beautiful day and the animals were out enjoying the weather. The African exhibit is great and it was very easy to see all the animals. We also participated in behind the scene animal encounters and sting ray cove, I would highly recommend!! We will definitely be back.
