Best time at the zoo! The animals were great! The atmosphere was amazing! Family friendly and great place for those who are photogenic. The shows they have in the zoo is a pleasant experience and definitely would return again. Parking is pretty good. Food is great as well.
Had a blast with my two boys they love there zoo an the ne Africa side nice job feel lile I enter a new world the animals have lots of space

A large public park with lots of picnic tables and his dog friendly. Great place to go in sit after the gates are closed.

Brought my Family from the Bay Area to checkout this Zoo and they loved it so much. The Fresno Chaffee Zoo has improved so much over the years its mind blowing, the African animal Exhibit is the masterpiece that this Zoo needed and finally got. I Definitely recommend visiting The Fresno Chaffee Zoo if you re new to town.
The African savannah exhibit is incredible - I ve never been to a zoo where there s so much open space for savannah creatures to enjoy with other species. I ve been on a couple private tours in the reptile hut (family connection and through UCSF wilderness med course) and it gets better and better each time. I d give 6 stars as you can feed the giraffes for a nominal fee.
My girls loved it.... the tropical rain forest hot.. It was sohuge my girl came home took a bath a then a nap HAPPY MOM THANKS CHAFFE ZOO
A fun regional zoo. I have been going to this zoo for more than 30 years and it gets better each time.

Good local zoo. Especially like the reptilian exhibit. Good eatery with lots of options. We were not local but happened to be traveling and stopped I Fresno for the day. This is not the San Diego zoo but worth an afternoon. Of fun. The admission is reasonable.
Perfect day with family! No crowds during the weekdays in October, do little ones get a great close- up of the animals. Just the right size for a fun, relaxing few hours.
It's a decent size Zoo it took about 4 hours to see every exhibit. We did the special they had where we got to touch the sting rays and feed the giraffes.
We love to take grandkids there. Medium size, not overwhelming of walking. Perfect for young children.

I've always loved this park since I was a child. There are just so many memories that you have the opportunity to make here. When you feel the need to unplug your family from technology, this is a great place to go.

Love this zoo. Small enough to see the whole place in one day, but with nice exhibits. Definitely take time to see the Africa area - complete with baby rhino!
The lady who runs the zoo members entrance was extremely rude to us yesterday. It seems like she stereotyped us because we look different from her. RUDE! UNPLEASANT! LEARN HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE POLITELY & TREAT PEOPLE RESPECTFULLY!
Great zoo. The animal enclosures are big enough. Was really impressed with the indoor Reptile House - which should probably be renamed as reptile and amphibian house or the herp house as it would be more apt to the animals on display. Anyway, rich variety of reptiles and exotic amphibs, mainly frogs. It's a fun area to play "who can spot the animal first". =)
This is a great family place! There are so many things to do and see. Even when the place is "crowded" there is still room to move around see the exhibits. So glad that Measure Z has endured and brought so many great changes to Fresno Chaffee Zoo!

Always a fun place to visit. The zoo is doing so much upgrades and it's starting to feel like a safari here. The elephant and rhino exhibit looked awesome! Really liked the dining area they setup next to the elephants. Makes it feel like you're in another country viewing these animals roam freely. I hope they take over the entire Roeding park and turn it into a drive thru safari. That would be awesome!!!
I really like the changes and upgrades that they have made to this zoo. The African exhibit is a lot of fun. They are still making more changes too. These changes were long overdue and I am glad to see that they are finally happening. I remember when I went in high school, I thought it was looking pretty sad back then. It's a completely different zoo now. My family and I are members and my kids love going there. Go and support your local zoo.

Zoolights was definately a hit with the kids. Plenty to see, good family fun. Smores & hot chocolate.
Great place to bring the kids, suggest earlier the better. And buy tickets in advance!! Avoid the lines. Go early leave as soon as your kid get upset. Then come back for evening relaxing. Food was fast and perfect. Line get long if you don't reserve.
For 15 dollars, it's a hell of a deal. A great place for the family or to take your friends. It's very clean and plenty of parking.
Always fun. Parking sucks but it's a great time once you go in! I love feeding the sting Ray's and options of feeding the giraffes. The food is great and the African side is gorgeous!

Nice zoo, seems they are constantly improving it too. Nice habitats like African adventure, sting ray bay, sea lion cove, and more! The zoo lights at christmas is very cool too!
