Very nice zoo for the area and for the money. Close up views of the animals. Well layed out. Good variety of animals. Just a great all around experience there. Food and snacks are reasonably priced. No problem bring your own either.

Great place . We got to see all the animals . And they looked happy and healthy. One of the best zoo adventures on the west coast.

Not all the hype. Most animals were gone, hidden or asleep which is ok. But not worth it to walk so many miles and see plain nothing especially in the scorching heat. Don't buy popcorn there...its stale as a shell!

Small, concise, humane. Plenty of room and enough variety of animals to keep your interest. The bird show is FANTASTIC. A must see when you go. Family friendly and clean.

This is a miraculously well kept zoo that you probably wouldn't expect from Fresno if you've lived in the area for a substantial period of time.

It Was Very Nice But It's A Bit Too Muddy In The Doggie Park Section And This Is Often Too

Good times! I came here with my wife and son and we all had a pleasant time. It was a nice sunny day and it wasn't crowded at all which allowed us to have plenty of time to check out every exhibit. The entrance fees are also fair in my opinion and the food and drink options are great. I really like the new edition of the dining area where you have a wide beautiful view of the African adventure while you enjoy your food.

It's a good place to visit. Spl at this zoo is the kangaroo walk and giraffe feeding. The stingray pond is deep, so kids may not be able to touch. The parking is always full, it would help to be there early

It's had a lot of improvements since the last time I went. The whole family had fun. I just dislike the hours of operation. I do wish they'd be open longer.

DOG SHYTT everywhere all around the ponds on the sitting benches..JUST HORRIBLE!!!!.Rittled with pounds and tons of dog shytt...I know this part of this beautiful Roeding Park does not get cleaned at all...DAMMM SHAME ALL THAT MEASURE MONEY...pls hire someone to be on duty with picking up the DOG SHYTT PLEASE...THAT IS NOT A GOOD LOOK!!!

Food is a little pricey but overall lots of family fun

A lot of fun, clean, but a lot of construction going on

Haven't been in a decade, gotta say being able to eat Gilroy garlic fries and watch the baby rhino made my day.

Feed the giraffe. Arrive early to get parking. Get season pass if you have kids.

The renovations are going to look great! Wish they had gorillas though. The orangutans are cute though, fun to watch

Flat out great zoo, and should be for a city this size.
The Sea Lion Cove is an award winning presentation.
I'm sure the African Savannah will also win some kind of zoo awards too.
The African Savannah cabana food court is incredible. Great spot to rest up.
The LIVE bird show everyday, is over the top great. Maybe my fave.
The walk through bird cages are as good as any zoo in CA.
You can spend the better part of a day here.
Also, if you like taking photos of flying birds, the park pond outside the zoo is the best action around. Many different varieties.

Great place for family and friends. Kid friendly. The food is awesome. Fun and entertainment.

Visiting from Washington state, my family got to see and enjoy a lot of animals we dont have all year around because of our weather.

I liked the zoo. I would a miniature version of San Diego zoo. Giraffe feeding is special and you have to wait in the queue for feeding. You save few dollars if you buy as Combo ticket along with park general admission.

Always a good stop and the food is really good and decently priced

Small Zoo, all the animals the kids' wanted to see were not out, ultimately the kids were bored. Took about 45 mins to walk around the entire Zoo. We were visiting from Texas and this compared to our Houston Zoo this was night and day difference. Not worth it. (Visited back in 2011)

If you haven't been here in awhile. You must see the improvements. The giraffe feeding station and the Safari area are awesome!!!
Can't wait for the weather to cool down so we can go back.

Have had a great time at this zoo more than once! All of the animals looked very happy! Just make sure you go to the top of the African Safari area to get food!

If you go in the winter experience the reptile room its warm and cozy.

Very nice zoo and activity to do in Fresno. The Safari exhibit is a highlight, with multiple species sharing a wide open space. You can even feed the garaffes.

One of the better zoo's in California! It's clean, relatively quiet, and spacious. Most of the animals are of African original, and their habitats reflect this. You can casually walk the zoo in 3-4 hours.

My kids loved it. We will most definitely be going back in the future.

The new African safari is excellent. There is still room for expansion and it will only get better. I cant wait Toto go again.
