Fremont Village Foods Review

Great staff very good fresh cut meat i am not enjoying the prices though.. I go here often they always ask me how I am doing how's my one guy always asked about my dogs... This is family great store they will even take your groceries to your car but I am not that old yet. Lol

Great Deli meats, cheese, dips, cold pasta salads etc.

Meat prices are about average with some items being higher but it's evident why in the quality. They don't carry some items that most consider staple items buts it's a small town store so it's forgiven. I'd have given 5 stars had they not locked the door in my face one night at exactly 4 minutes to close. I realize they want to go home but I'm a frequent customer and I'm an in and out in under 5 mins 98% of the time. Having worked customer service, I empathize and would have rushed myself to conclude the transaction in under a 2 minutes had I had the opportunity.

High prices, small town store that doesn't carry a lot.

Had employee help me as soon as I walked out. Was shopping for spark plugs. He even went outside to look at my car. Very satisfied.

Love their meat dept. Prefer to shop with the local stores.

I had a lot to say to my family, but in reading the other reviews, I am amending my thoughts.

We come to Clearlake every year, in September . I don't know what happens to your employees , but everytime we've gone into that grocery we are treated rudely, with the exception of today, when the young lady was extremely friendly. Because of the bad treatment we've received in the past, from the butcher counter and the cashiers , most of the purchases we've had to make this time came from Dollar General.

I know how hard it is to run a family business, and we prefer to patronize the local shops over chains. You need to tell your people that they can't count on who they've always known to be their only customers. We've spent $300 bucks on food over the last week, and the majority went to your competitor. We'll try again next year.

Got some very good T-Bone and Porterhouse steaks for an attractive price. Knowledgeable meat cutters.

Excellent meat counter. It is they old fashion kind where you actually talk to a butcher. They also have outstanding customer service. They out do them selves every day

The meat/deli is great. Fresh cut meat every morning. Always a great buy on the way home.

A small town grocery store with prices comparable or cheaper than a dollar store, with a great burger department and awesome specials, especially on meats.

Small town grocery store with old fashioned meat counter. We buy meat here, they are friendly and will cot your meat to order.

I will NEVER shop in this store again! As a business I would think the sign posted outside their door requiring masks meant something, but unfortunately it doesn't. There were workers and no less than 5 other shoppers NOT wearing masks even though the Governor has issued an executive order requiring masks in public places. Since they care so little about their shopper's health or the spread of the worst pandemic in our lifetime, I will not support this business in the future.

Its one of those small town places that is fine if you cannot get elsewhere.

The people are very loving and caring. Their meat department is good. But the store is so run down. Floors need fixed. Plus walls and ceilings too.

Always love the mom and pop stores over chain stores, and always willing to pay a little more to keep them going then the big box stores. Great staff.

It's a vintage feeling grocery store. Great meat selection. Mostly local. The basics are well -covered. You won't be overwhelmed with options but you'll find what you need - except alcohol. Helpful staff. If you need alcohol just walk across the parking lot to Gay's!

The store is just old and is in dire need of upgrading. Soon as you walk through the front door, all you smell is a strong musky order. Products are a little pricey

Decent selection. Produce isn't very good , canned and boxed items are overpriced unless there is a sale. The meat is always good , especially the burger. Small but nice selection of deli meats and cheeses.

Very good place to get groceries. They do need rain gutters or something. Got soaked trying to get inside.

I was camping at Jellystone Park in Fremont and needed a few items for dinner. Fremont Villiage foods was the closest grocery store so We went there. As the woman checked me out she was coughing up a storm as she was scanning my items which really kind of freaked me out with the whole Covid thing going around. Then I realized that I had left my wallet in the car. I told her I was sorry but I had to run and get my wallet and that I would be back in a flash. I was half way to the door and she said " I can't just......." I said back to her " Well if you have to, cancel the order and we can ring it back out when I get back, OR I can stand here and not get my wallet if that is what you would like me to do??? But that won't get either of us anywhere". There was no one else in line behind me and I was back in 30 seconds. When I got back to the register she was scanning all the items to delete them from the order and continuing to cough. Then she let out this horrible flemmy cough and I said " No thanks, I don't want ANY of it! and I left. The woman should not be working in a customer service job. She was rude, nasty and sick.

Love this small little grocery store..The butcher shop is GREAT they have great sales u want a great steak well try the Village market trimmed perfectly stop buying you meat from Sal-mart!!!
