Great relaxing place to enjoy art and the gardens of different types. Butterflies bloom every spring and kids enjoy this always. Had a daddy daughter dance there was a beautiful setting and night full of memories. Also have attended a wedding there that was beautifully put together with their staff helping make it a special day for everyone who attended.

Well manicured gardens with a neat variety of plants. Picturesque views. Children may grow bored here but adults with an interest in nature, outdoors, and gardening can easily spend hours here. The Japanese garden and succulent garden were especially cool.

You simply must experience the butterflies once, preferably on a sunny day when they are most active. Late spring through early fall, the Gardens are glorious and the sculptures are intriguing.

It is no wonder that Frederik Meijer Gardens is listed in the top 5 botanical gardens in the U.S.! We are blessed to have this jewel in our own back yard. The Japanese Gardens are so beautiful and inviting.

There is always something new at Frederick Meijer to keep it interesting. I was a little disappointed with the reindeer event as there was only one and no interaction with the kids. Their Christmas around the world trees are beautiful as always. My favorite was an absolutely gorgeous display showcasing the Phillipines in the tropical conservatory. I wish they would serve some food items from around the world to go along with the displays.

We absolutely love Frederick Meijer Gardens. The butterfly exhibit is our favorite, and we go many times while it's open. The membership is a great value for our family since we go so often. My boys also love the tree house, digging for fossils, and the boats.

This place is absolutely beautiful!!! I went here not expecting anything too huge, but was pleasantly surprised by everything the park has to offer. My friend and I stayed here for 7 hours and didnt make it all the way through because we wanted to enjoy every plant and every sculpture we came across

We are visiting from Brazil and did not expect much from this place, but decided to give it a shot. What a pleasant surprise. Awesome childrens garden (we wish our grand daughter was here), nice Japanese Garden and the central Piazza has a wonderful sculpture. But the high moment wa the Sculpture Park. What a collection of great art work, even a Rodin. Grand Rapids is fortunate to have an organization that cares so much about art and making easily accessible to all. What a surprise!

My wife and I toured the gardens this week. The construction was not a bother. The staff was friendly and informative. We found the exhibits were pretty but oddly the carnivorous plants got our interest going the most. We did not appreciate the sculptures that much. Overall if your in GR put this on your bucket list.

Such a fun experience! Great for all ages. We were visiting from out of town and this was the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon. So much beautiful art work and unique plants from all over the world.

Absolutely fantastic. Tram ride guide provided thorough narrative, especially about the many sculptures positioned throughout the gardens. Plus the price is very affordable. Highly recommended.

The Japanese garden area is outstanding! Be prepared to walk all around the pond. Magnificent landscape design in the oriental style. The conservatory was interesting, but they don't seem to do floral displays, so it wasn't "flashy". We took the tram tour around the entire gardens, and for me this was the best way to see the large sculpture garden.

Had lots of fun walking around looking at the sculptures outdoors. Some of the paths up to the artwork weren't completely cleared so had to look from a but back. Indoors was great. Enjoyed the feeling of Summer during the polar vortex.

The Tropical Greenhouse is a delight with beautiful fish in the pond.
During our visit we saw the newly-established Japanese garden. The Meandering paths were delightful with a new surprise around every corner. We also enjoyed looking at the farmette during our trip to the gardens.
The people of Grand Rapids are fortunate to have a world-class Botanic Garden at their disposal. We shall return.

Seemingly endless things to do and see. A great place for kids. Especially the Great Lakes hands on pools. Lots of walking so it's a little difficult for anyone who has a hard time getting g around.
