From my first inquiry about the space, to closing out the bar tab, Fred Wildlife Refuge has been fantastic. The space is one of my favorite in the city, and I love their dedication to being funky, artsy, fun and authentic. The entire staff were so helpful in planning a budget-driven event for a large group. They came up with fantastic ideas about how to make the party pop and offered recommendations for caterers and created a fun list of specialty cocktails.

I greatly appreciated the responsiveness, professionalism, easy-going attitude, and general helpfulness. The entire staff were welcoming and accommodating, all of which contributed to a memorable night for all my guests. I would highly recommend Fred Wildlife Refuge for any event.

They had a full bar downstairs and a limited bar upstairs. The sound system and lighting was on point. There were tons of costumes for Halloween and an entertaining contest.

Great drinks and atmosphere. I loved the performance.

This place is so friggin cool. Been here multiple times for various private events, art walks, etc. The folks that manage the place, Lara and Vi, are both super duper amazing. Really, they are. Bartenders are always awesome and the security is top notch, polite and on point.

Great space - caught a number of Forward Flux events in this venue.

This place is amazing! And the projection wall can completely change the vibe of the room, which is great if you have multiple bands playing.

It took me numerous numbers times to get ahold of them. Emails and calls and I finally got to see the place and loved it. They never called me back or never emailed. I have tried numerous times to call and email and no response. Very unprofessional for a company who says they re LGBT friendly. Very disappointed and would never ever work with a company who simply can t male a phone call back.

Great place to see a show! Large walls for projecting visuals, high ceilings help the sound and a full bar.

The name of this place - good lord! It is a bar, not a Wildlife Refuge situated in the middle of Capitol Hill.

It completely threw me off when I was asked to come to a book reading here. The space is great! Wonderful acoustics for a small event. The bar had good drinks, but similarly priced to everything else on the hill.
