Really I came here to get the phone number to shut off service now that I have moved, but I saw the reviews and had to add my own. I've dealt with the PUD for ~10 years. I've never had any issues with them, they deliver power. Sure everyone makes mistakes, but they deserve reviews for more than those few isolated examples.

I've called them for payment arrangements in the past, they have been very willing to work with me.

I've called to correct their bills in the past, they corrected the errors, even when one of them resulted in about $700 worth of credit back to me.

There was no arguing, no fighting, no bad attitudes, just getting the job done.

Now I'm in AZ wishing I could keep your low electric rates.

Horrible company. Everyone working there seems to be a bunch of idiots. They tell you one thing and when you go in to take care of a bill suddenly what they told you before suddenly isn't possible.

I only gave a star because I had to put one to write my review. The ladies that work at the office (if you can even call them ladies) are very rude and all have attitudes beyond belief. They act as if the costumer owes them money personally and not the crooked pud office. Be prepared for these unprofessional rude and nasty "things" that call themselves ladies!!!!

I am disgusted with their payment policy. They cannot let you know when your bill will come out, then you have to make sure you get it when it does come out, then you only get 20 days from the time they send it to pay then they send a final notice and cancellation fee notice if you do not pay within this small window. It is impossible to use automatic payment because the dates of billing are constantly changing. Disgusting way to do business. Looks like an attempt to get as much cancellation fee as possible.

I wish there was different options here. I'm really tired of getting late fees for negligence. First you sign me up for paperless without my consent so I wasn't receiving bills, even when I fix someone else's mistake, you still don't send out bills so I'm stuck with yet another late fee. Not all of us are millionaires....

This PUD is a classic example of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." The public power concept was an integral part of the New Deal, and for the first thirty years it made rural life much easier, safer, and livable.

But this idea was usurped some forty years ago by the big boys who were able to replace the commissioners elected by the Granges, school districts , and even local churches, that had created from the legislation the working power system. They put in their friends, and eventually, as in the case of the present Board, themselves.

As you can see from the other comments, they don't, now and probably won't ever again, give a damn about an ordinary common customer, and certainly not the common good.

They only care about the big irrigation customers, one tenth of one percenters, some richer than that, some actually richer than God, and some who believe they are wiser than Mother Nature.

They use The Hotline to advance a planet killing ignorance of what the Snake River dams actually do by harming salmon runs.

That is pretty simple and pretty fundamental. Without salmon runs, a watershed starves. With cattle grazing unregulated, it starves quickly, 20 more years in Eastern Oregon, and 30 to 40 in Eastern Washington.

When a region loses its watersheds, it loses it all. That is not a New Deal, that is a raw deal.

With the passage of H R 3144, the region moves to repeat the environmental and therefor societal collapse that prompted the New Deal.

And with three times as many people, many armed beyond reason , likely a third and final Civil War in North America. An end game, not a deal at all.

When the Porkys and Bills and Ralphs in the region tell you they are looking out for you, remember, the rude ignorant abusive environment in that publicly owned building will now be extended by starvation to the entire region.

Enjoy. Those that equate wealth with wisdom have neither.

Shut the power off on a new home owner because the previous owner calls and says to turn off the power. Illegal and unethical. I have a 6 month old baby and it's 26 degrees outside. Perfect example of complete idiotic incompetents. I will be suing if they keep the off hours reconnect fee on my account. Outrageous.

My bill was due 5 days ago but just got a FINAL NOTICE in the mail?.....I will get shut off in 10 days? ....OK....Went to pay and was required to use SmartHub, which I might add, may be a 'Hub' but it is far from 'Smart'. Tried signing up but was told my info was incorrect? (I had my account number right in front of me, and I hope I know my own last name and email)....Called the 'pay by phone' number and was only given the option to update my phone number or update my PIN. Am I missing something?

The experience I had recently is of lousy service since I was robbed when making My payment for errors of the institution ifself and falsified My statements when in the 2 ovation I went to ask for explemations .How many more people go through this situation and unable to do anything?

Worst company I've ever had to deal with. They send me a notice saying I have to pay full amount by 7/11 I call and set up arrangements, I missed the payment. So now it's 7/10 and they already shut my power off and want me to pay 400 extra in fees and what not. Ridiculous. The ladies there are pathetic and act like they're Queens of Pasco. Going to move from Pasco now so I never have to deal with them again.

How about a well deserved shoutout to Franklin PUD and all the crew that came into Connell to complete some work that required shutting power off to the entire city. They not only started the outage exactly when they said, but completed the work exactly 48 minutes ahead of there stated time to turn power back on. I was also impressed at the amount of publicity leading up to the outage and how well people were informed. So thanks to all involved and keeping your word on what to expect. And I ve gotta say it s very Erie standing on the Main Street of your city when at the snap of a finger the entire city goes black and it gets so quite you can hear yourself think. Pretty cool experience and well worth the price of admission !!
