Love it here, great places to stop for lunch and a bevi maybe.
Great area for a picnic and relaxing. Outlet shops are not necessarily cheaper or many choices in Lowry.
Nice scenery, especially at night. Cool to see the lights and production buildings
Just a great area for a short walk and a look in the museum's.
The Dross and Drivel that comes from the ITV makes me want to vomit it's getting just as bad as the lying BBC like who the hell is Sam fairies and why would anyone body want to know when she goes for a poo or who cares she is getting married people do it every day. You want to take a long hard look at the Writers the Actors the casting Dept.be for God's sake take a look at yourselves and have some Balls to fire the slackers it's an insult to ordainery people's intelligence and ITV2 is just as bad who gives a toss who's having a baby and who is arguing about the right make up ffs we don't want to see it.
Confused, just how ironic both itv & BBC on one site - eh!.
So ladies and gentlemen what are we paying a license fee for when the BBC pays ground rent to peel holdings for the building that they share with ITV.
Update after the previous update I did some research and I believe that the BBC is a commercial establishment, after I witnessed the company putting out advert's on the BBC.
Which is against the premises code of conduct and charter.
Brand name product placement is advertisement as stated in law.
Jimmy Saville is rumoured to walk these halls still...
Great spot. Lively. Plenty to do. Nice bars. Great piazza.
Media City has studio's and offices for the BBC and ITV etc, you can therefore watch recordings of programmes from TV and radio and it's free! BBC philharmonic are based in the studios and put on some great concerts.
Lots of public events here and regular celeb spotting opportunities too.
Salford Quays media centre, BBC and ITV, with cafe's, restaurants and bars near by. Also, the Lowry Centre and all its facilities is close. Media City also has its own tram stop.
Great place to visit. Loved visiting here with my son. Going back in a few days for the Coronation Street Tour. Can't wait! Up and coming cool area. Loved it
WOW. What a place. Large buildings in vast areas with several well known companies taking residence in the area. A little insight is given into the world of the media by the big glass buildings and specialist vehicles used in the production of TV programmes, etc. Large superstores and plenty of eateries around the area. I was in the area attending at the passport office.
Well kept clean area. Some nice bars and restaurants
I went to the voice kids audtions at media city SRO audience were great the atmosphere was fantastic the compare was so funny Jessie j and pixie lott were so kind and caring to the children and when we came out into media city and seen the light display and snomen it made Christmas special
Went here to see the Jeremy Kyle show (I do feel the need to stress I was in the audience and not on stage). Had an absolute blast there. Was great to see how the show was filmed an would love to go again
Great place, some great places to eat and there's always the chance of bumping into a celeb. We saw Hayley Cropper and Shawn from Corrie
I work near city in the business park. What more can i say.
Always like coming here. If you don t work in TV there s still lots to look at, although it s a bit out in the sticks to get to unless you drive
Nice when the sun is out if you're wandering around. Plenty of generic 'chain' places to eat at, and one or two independent places. CraftBrew and Pokusevski's are good for lunch and coffee, Damson is very good for a formal dinner. The Dock Yard is good for a drink and bite to eat, the food is better than it used to be.
Could do with more promotion for events or markets - we live nearby and never know what's going on.
Great up and coming location, with a lovely atmosphere
Like to have a good look around in the summer and sit on the grass with a nice cold drink
Measure area for TV stations that work in the UK BBC iTV and so on
Great place to stop if you are going to the BBC or ITV studios very close to the Lowery Centre for shopping or the theatre and just a short walk over the bridge to the Imperial War Museum North.
Amazing place to visit. Really easy to get to on the tram from Manchester city centre. There are lots of bars and restaurants around. Fascinating studios to tour. Really worth a visit. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Just fell in love with the place at first sight. Went in night. So cool breeze and so calm atmosphere. It just relaxes you and the wind fills you up with a lot of positive energy. Must visit whenever u feel low. U will forget all your worries.
Great place to visit verry open so call on a sunny day if you can just across from the imperial war museum
Sadly I visited on a weekend so the whole media city was closed. I was under the impression that one could visit inside the media areas and take tours but this wasnt the case. The labels on the tourist map didn't reflect what was there and a few places I wanted to see didnt apear to exist even though they are allegedly recorded there. Despite this it is a wonderful day out, lots to do in the larea, big open spaces to sot and enjoy the scenery/watch the world go by.
The place to be for Media and broadcasting in the northwest
Went to see judge rinder today amazing place to eat and drink. Parking good
i have never been but my friends have been and say its one of the best places you will ever go to
Thoroughly modern. Lots of excellent places to eat and beautiful buildings.
It gives feel of modern and fitting to 21st century city space.
Really good shops, friendly staff and excellent all round service.
Very beautiful place, I recommend everyone to visit in the evening.
Very nice and recently redeveloped neighborhood. Inside they made us the BBC headquarters in Manchester, apartments, a shopping center, a museum and a concert hall.
To get there there is a very convenient metro media stop 'mediacity'.
Excellent place to go really like this place Jeremy Kyle /and judge Rinder show situated in this area good place to be
A picturesque place, worth a visit. The sunny weather is really nice.
Like it for walking, if you like modern sides worth going there, it's different from all Manchester city.
as part of a documentary I visited the media city complex and found the area vibrant with coffee shops and eateries
Home to the two biggest broadcasters in the UK, ITV and BBC, as well as being home the the long-loved UK soap Coronation Street, which has spawned its own studio just next to the Imperial War Museum North. MediaCity is also home to The Lowry Theatre and Shopping Centre, as well as some budget hotels such as the 4 star Travelodge and Holiday Inn. MediaCity is also home to much smaller businesses such as the premium supermarket Booths
Lots of places to eat , very close to tram stop. Extremely busy when Manchester United are playing at home
Great for a walk around, since nice bars and eateries
Excellent place to visit, very clean and tidy. The landscaped areas are well looked after the cleaning team and the gardeners work really hard.
Lovely walks. Great booths store. Parking available but you have to pay. Booths gives 30 minutes free
