Collection of good quality restaurants and BBC's home in the north.
Collection of good quality restaurants and BBC's home in the north.
Great site, except the BBC tours were all fully booked and ITV don't do their own so it's you only really get to see the outsides of the buildings.
Really nice place. Has bbc and itv studio. Tram goes to the location from town
Love this place, get the team there for some peace and quiet.
As a place to work, shop and play media city is a success well connected to the city
really classy place, pretty grassy areas, lovely views, decent transport, enough shops and places to go
Lots of space.
Nice modern buildings.
Museum of war, theater.
Lowry Gallery.
Restaurants.
Good access.
Paid parking lots.
I enjoyed the Holiday Inn very much. And the Pret A Manger was exactly as it should have been. I was in awe of the enormous Graham Norton stickers adorning the buildings.
Great place to go and visit! lots of outdoor things to do!
Spectacular place great booth's supermarket prices are No1 and food is good great people working there
Had an amazing time at Coronation Street The Tour, brilliant for soap fans, learnt a lot and got a free photo card at the end.
Met the very very lovely Annabel Tiffin, and also met Diane Oxberry who we very sadly lost in January.
Brilliant placs to eat and drink, in lovely surroundings .
We went to the Coronation Street tour, we think Media City is a amazing place, its got Itv and BBC studios there, staff are very friendly and we would visit again.
Media City is an interesting place. Great to walk round, and now that there are a few bars, good to drink in after work.
Space the final frontier, work & play lots for all the family
Wonderful place to visit. Lots of open space, along with greenery, and it is also exceptionally clean.
Lovely setting on canal. Lots of museums places to eat. Coronation street tour
Choose a nice day, we were lucky, and we didn t book a tour as we preferred to wander around taking in the awesome architecture lining the Manchester Ship Canal and its basins. It houses (as it s name suggests) both ITV & BBC studios and tours of these buildings are only available at weekends as I m aware. It also has not too far away both the Lowry & the Lowry Shopping Mall, and across the water the incredible Nation War Museum North. See my separate reviews. Well worth a tram ride from the centre of Manchester and peppered with eating houses!
It rains a lot and the wind can be dangerous but there's plenty to do.
Great atmosphere, loads of outdoor seating and plenty of food options
Really nice part of Manchester - Good feel to the place and lovely surroundings. Location is very handy and alot to see. Could spend the day walking about here.
I went to see Sam & Mark's 'A Little Bird Told Me' and had a great time there. The studio was great and I had a good view, the staff were friendly and in between film breaks there was a "warm up host" who entertained everyone in the studio audience. I am hoping to see more studio audience shows there, I definitely recommend the place.
Not only do we work here but we now meet our friends in MediaCityUK for shopping, theatre or dining out... An excellent day out and the number of events taking place means there is almost something for everyone to do
Great place first time there would definitely be there again
Wonderful place to spend a weekend afternoon, especially when the sun is out. Lotsa of places to eat, drink and have fun
Great atmosphere and some nice places to eat and drink. Go check it out!
Great place modern lively.plenty of places to eat.and the odd b celebrity wandering about.
Really nice part of Manchester to visit, great for eating and having a few drinks
Pret - coffee, cake and chat amongst the purposeful Media City in-crowd with the odd star thrown in for good measure. Spotted 70s rock chic, Rula Lenska sashaying by, as svelt and wow as ever. Just everyday Media City stuff
Attended media city Salford university to appear in a student film as a newsreader. As I was early, I went to the cafeteria and enjoyed a cappuccino and a light lunch. Very enjoyable atmosphere, lots going on.
Amazing spot to walk around, enjoy the imaginatively-built area and proximity to quays, museums and such.
Thee most upcoming part of Manchester. Whether travelling by car, bus or tram it's easy to get to. They is a shopping mall for shop lovers, the imperial War museum is there which is a must see, there is the theater, the Media City is there home to BBC north, parts of I TV and the Future Skills media college. Some fantastic food chains and it really on a nice sunny day provides for a beautiful stroll, walk or run. Love it
One of the best places in Salford, around Manchester! Lakes, walkways, TV studios, war museum, malls and restaurants- all add to a nice hangout destination for a peaceful afternoon!
great bar and restaurant! it's like it's own little City
I've done a recording on the judge rinder show, ITV looked after me like a king
Very interesting place, if your a tv fan, this is where most its filmed. Liked it, not many places to eat
I have been a few times to this area now and love it, even to just walk around you can feel a buzz, a sort of excitement about the hive of activity going on.
Great combination of studios, museums, shopping and entertainment.
It was really calm and peaceful. But I don t think it s a touristic spot. Just for working.
Outstanding public space, amazing architecture and beautiful gardens. Home to many lovely restaurants and cafes and media related businesses.
Had a great Sunday afternoon out here at media city.... met plenty of people and took part in the audience for a new game show!
