Fox & Fiddle Winnipeg Review

Beautiful bar at the corner of Wellington and King. Great atmosphere!

Owner tried to overcharge me on my bill. When i brought it up to him, he got argumentative and rude. Forcing me to cash out my bill, effectively ejecting me from the establishment. I had 2 draught beers over the course of an hour, he tried to charge me for 3. I was never rude or ever raised my voice. I know for a fact he's got good people working for him, too bad he's so shortsighted that he drives away business. I'm not planning on ever going back.

Service was really good! Nice people, food was average to good (the buffalo cauliflower bites and the fries are serious winners). Would go again but likely would skip the washroom.... one seat was destroyed, one stall was locked, one toilet was broken, and one stall looked like there was feces spread on the wall. Saved you from that picture but caught a pic of the seat because I thought it was really odd considering they cost all of $20 and this has obviously been an ignored issue for a long time. Stuff like this just makes you wonder what else isn't being taken care of.

Decent food and environment but service can be slow when busy and could be improved. Located inside Citi Plaza on Eastside King/Wellington entrance. Free underground parking available with food purchase and receipt. Paired with Imagine Cinema/Theaters located on second floor to provide a meal-with-beverage/movie ticket combo deal worth getting, ask wait staff for detsils when ordering your food if interested.

Service is a bit slow sometimes, but I love the Buffalo Chicken Poutine, and they have a decent beer selection

Very causy and comfortable place to stay and eat. The quality of chicken salad and onion soap were fresh and delicious.Staff were professional and through. Definitely recommended.

Lots of beers on tap, but the layout is a bit confusing. I feel for the waiters, they must be walking miles in a day.

Dark and dingy. Noisy karaoke night. Horrible roast beef special. Abd too salty. Was sick at 3am. Not good

they awesome. gave all 3 of us free shirts and a sharpie and a great glass!

British pub atmosphere. Food was decent for the price.

Waited over half an hour for a bowl of soup. The poutine we ordered took over an hour to show up. Tasted great but the wait. What a shame.

I ordered chicken wings. They were served undercooked. Nothing better than biting into a pink wing. The manager said she would take them off the bill.

Good for hosting events. Food is pretty good. Definitely not the bar to go get drunk at.

The appetizers are to die for, and although we had no idea about the karaoke when we went to eat, it turned out to be great entertainment that made the evening even more enjoyable!

Usually love this place....not overly busy but everything seemed to take forever. Meal arrived 5 mins after appetizer and was a little on the cool side. Deep fried pickles...a burger and wings shouldn't take 45mins plus to receive. Will try again soon...could have been an off night

Went with some friends after a movie yesterday. Everywhere I go I order fish tacos if possible lol. This place has some of the best! The feta really made them yummy and the chipotle sauce was quite good. My friend got fish and chips and I couldn't help eating his fries. I don't even like fries but these were hearty and delicious
I will definitely be going back for more tacos!

Food was great. We took an art class there and ate after. The layout of the restaurant makes it hard for staff to get everywhere though.

Not a bad place, was quiet in the afternoon to have a drink and watch sports. It's clean and in good shape, their food smelled pretty good as well.

Standard bar fare. Although the waitress forgot our salads and then kept them on the check (was removed after asking, my point being she wasnt paying attention and we were the only table there)

It was $5 Martini Night. It was not specified that was the gin of their choice. It ended up costing $12.72! The server felt bad as Management wouldn't accept responsibility & he was not properly trained. The server.offeted to pay $5 out of his pocket. Management, Disgraceful! Stand behind your Server! If 0 were only an option, terrible service: lacking common sense and personality, overpriced food, drink menu/ shots for ladies non existent. Overall entirely disappointing experience. I wish I would have drank instead of being sober; maybe rose coloured glasses would change the view.

The food was terrible, the place and the staff are nice. I do not recommend.

There were neither foxes nor fiddles when I arrived, food was good though. Nice atmosphere if you're into a fox and/or fiddleless existence.

They had a good deal on beer. Huge selection in the menu. The spaghetti was okay, nothing too special. It wasn't overly loud.

Went o sat to McGregor fight. Well we go all the time spend lots of cash. Seen a sign for fight no mention of buying tickets. Stopped at the door asking to buy a ticket. We wouldn't have cared if we knew ahead of time. Also a gentleman with a bunch of kids was there with the mothers and fathers and spent over $200 in food was asked to buy tickets as well I just think it's very unfair and they should have had the fees posted

Staff are friendly and they have deals daily. Had a pint for $5. Their chicken wings are really good too.

Large Bar with lots of TV's for the sport fanatics! The service was quick and friendly. As for the selection of Beers and Spirits, you will not have an issue asking for the most obscure drink combinations.

Had wings there for first time today. Meat tasted undercooked or something. The two sauces tasted the same. Server was fast and nice though.

I come here for the wings. I love everything about this place. The is friendly and the service is great.

Good food selection, but the restaurant is huge and often empty so it doesn't have the greatest atmosphere.

Good beer and food. Did enjoy the spicy Butter Chicken too.
