I can't for some reason put the correct date of my stay on this review. So the date on this will not be correct.

Have stayed at the Four Seasons here, in Sydney, and at Hualalai (Big Island HI). All are synonymous with excellent service and this is more of the same here. They get it.

I did a bungalow for two nights before hopping to another island in French Polynesia. They are as great as advertised and you could probably Google what all this entails. Plainly said, this is a neat experience, once in a lifetime thing, and to me well worth every penny ($1200+ USD per night) as the likelihood of my return to Bora Bora isn't very good.

This is the most expensive per night hotel I have stayed in. Some of it is the Four Seasons name, some of it is the location, some of it is the bungalow. It is a great combination of service, luxury, privacy, amenities, and location.

Simply fantastic and I would expect nothing less from Four Seasons.

The most incredible experience! 5 nights in their overwater bungalow for our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They have every single amenity available at the resort, no need to venture out. Food and cocktails are pricey in French Polynesia but worth the price here. I literally don t have one negative thing to say. We will 100% be back in the next few years. Thank you again Four Seasons!

This was the absolute greatest vacation of my life...

This was the absolute greatest vacation of my life. If you re able to go and won t have buyer s remorse about the expense, this is a MUST DO bucket list vacation. Below I ll outline everything we did and our honest review!

I booked this trip as a last-minute Valentine s Day gift for my boyfriend three days before our departure. Lots of websites discourage people from going to Bora Bora in February, and though I haven t been at any other time of year, it was truly the best decision to go in the low season with fewer tourists!

ROOMS - There is nothing like staying in the overwater bungalows. Truly magical to jump off the back porch into the lagoon every day, and to take a bath overlooking the ocean every afternoon.

SERVICE - Every aspect of the Four Seasons service is absolutely incredible - they anticipate everything you may need. Cool towels and bottled water on the private boat from the airport to the resort, twice-a-day housekeeping, excellent pool side bar. This place is supposed to be a resort but feels like a hidden gem getaway - the whole place is incredibly quiet. Apparently it was 80% full when we went, but it truly felt like only 20% full (in a good way!).

SNORKELING - I highly recommend the shark and ray snorkeling tour. We got to swim alongside sting rays, sharks, and tons of fish - it was gorgeous. They film the whole experience and give you an edit at the end as well. WEAR SUNSCREEN and long sleeve athletic wear - the sun is like no other in Bora Bora.

JET SKI TRIP - We did the 2 hour "shared" jet ski trip + lunch...but no one else signed up, so it ended up being private! A great way to see around the island, have fun, and enjoy a restaurant off-island.

SPA - The spa is truly one of a kind. As you can expect at a Four Seasons, the treatments are off the charts (we got a couple s massage and I got the Lagoon facial; both highly recommend.) The facilities also have two gorgeous hot tubs (which no one else was using when we went!!) that are perfect for watching the sunset over the resort and ocean.

RESTAURANTS - We had a great experience at all of the restaurants at the resort. Definitely agree with the other reviews that Arri Moana is the best one. We also did an excursion dinner to the main island to St. James restaurant, which was good, but I preferred the resort restaurants.

PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY - A lot of resorts offer photography, and I ve never done it because I didn t think it was worth it, and resort photographers are often hit or miss. However, my boyfriend booked a photo session with Damien from Bora Bora Photography for us as a surprise and it was the best day of my life - perhaps I am biased because my boyfriend proposed to me mid-session, which Damien did an excellent job of not only capturing, but also keeping as a surprise until the moment. Damien also does underwater portrait photography which is just out of this world. Our package included 50 edited photos! If you re going for a special occasion, I definitely think it s worth it.

OVERALL - There are a lot of amazing aspects of the resort that I don t think the website does justice:
- The resort is positioned around the lagoon, and there are little creeks within the resort that you can snorkel through on your own - it is SO cool.
- They really do an outstanding job of catering to special occasions. When the resort learned of our engagement on Instagram, within the HOUR they delivered champagne and a full tray of desserts - completely unnecessary but made us feel so so special and welcomed. The rest of the trip, all staff was congratulating us (they must have some sort of computer system that notes special occasions for guests haha!)
- Definitely take advantage of the 4th night free special if it s occurring when you book. I thought that 4 nights / 5 days was the perfect amount of time to experience everything on the resort and feel relaxed and ready to go back to real life.
- At night, the stars are literally out of this world - I have never seen the stars that vividly before anywhere else.

The resort itself is beautiful, with water activities, beautiful hot spring baths, several restaurants, but the water room above is amazing. The food was great, I didn't really like the buffet, but the breakfast was good every morning. Start by the employee greeting you at the end of the dock, until you have to go back, you will feel someone caring for you.

You won t find a more visually amazing place on earth. It s like spending your vacation in a screen saver.

The staff was so friendly and attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome at every moment.

There are some very nice restaurants on the property and many more are accessible by a short romantic boat ride.

Thank you fsbb. We will be back!!

Amazing experience and the staff was impeccable. They were so kind and understanding to every request. It s not an easy time to run a hotel in paradise during Covid, but they make it look easy.

The Four Seasons Bora Bora is Paradise On Earth!

The Four Seasons Bora Bora is Paradise On Earth!

Yes, it is long to get to, generally requiring a flight to LA or Honolulu, a flight to Papeete, and an interisland to Bora Bora, but once you're there, you're in paradise.

They pick you up in an absolutely stunning wood boat from the airport, to take you to by far the best grounds on the island. We visited both the St. Regis and Le Meridien during our stay -- the four Seasons bungalows are much larger, and the common areas aren't even in the same realm.

The resort also seems to be extremely well sized -- there's 100 bungalows, but with 3 restaurants, a massive pool, multiple lagoons, and couples spa rooms that open up to the open ocean, you never have to worry about some amenity not being available.

Their staff are extremely well trained, making you feel right at home and you can tell that they truly love their job!

My wife and I had the most incredible honeymoon, already trying to figure out when we can come back.

I stayed in an Over the Water Bungalow. The floor had glass in two places so you could see through and see the lights lighting up the fish at night. The room service was impeccable and fast. I loved getting up each morning climbing down the ladder and swimming in the ocean. I could not touch the bottom where we stayed but it looked sandy and ocean was so clear and beautiful. The beach was a little small but not crowded, as in sometimes we were the only people on it. The food was also excellent. The only thing was it was almost too quiet. I would not recommend a long stay. 3-4 days is a lot of time to relax.

During my stay in the overwinter bungalows, I met a delightful young lady whose name is Matilde Pailhes. Matilde has a very sunny disposition and goes the extra "mile" to ensure that her guests are having the best possible visit. Matilde has only been on the job for two weeks, but I hope Four Seasons realizes the gem that they have in Matilde!

Incredible!!!! A magical place is this island of French Polynesia, with incredible and colorful views of the atoll and the majestic Mount Otumanu. Excellent experience sleeping in a little house on the water! The Four Seasons Bora Bora is unique, it is worth knowing and living !!! It really is a place worth knowing !!!

One of the finest hotels on the planet. The overwater bungalows are impeccable, spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff go above and beyond the level of service I have received elsewhere. Everyone always has a smile on their face and when the Four Season Bora Bora is your office, no reason to wonder why they are so happy. Highly recommend as my favorite resort in all of French Polynesia.

The resort is gorgeous and the staff are professional and friendly, but those two are table stakes for a resort at this price range. I'm holding back a five-star review for several reasons, most of them are arguably nitpicks but at this level it's the details that count the most. 1) Complimentary water is provided in room but it is filtered water in refillable glass bottles. This is to minimize waste and environmental impact which I applaud but the filtered water has a bad taste to it, possibly from an expired filter or the filtration machine needs cleaning. 2) The water heater ran out of hot water too quickly. I was unable to fill the admittedly rather large bathtub without running out of hot water. If you provide a large tub, you should at least make sure the water heater is able to handle the volume required to fill it. 3) The food in the resort, both at the restaurants and in-room dining were only so-so.

Stayed here during my honeymoon. Between the incredible views with crystal clear water, and snorkeling in a lagoon with hundreds of beautiful fish, I felt like I was dreaming. If you have a hut at the end of the dock, prepare to walk A LOT. But never in my life have I felt more at ease and relaxed. Would go back in a second.

Also, wifi is available everywhere and was surprisingly fast.

We came here for our honeymoon and stayed for 8 days/7 nights in mid to late March of 2017.
Service: Impeccable, they not only facilitated travels/tours but also arranged for follow up, quick changes, and refunds for outside booked tours. All the staff knew my wife and I by our first and last names.
Spa: 5/5. We booked three consecutive treatments and then a private coconut bath to follow; one of the best massages I've ever had with immaculate facilities.
Gym: 3/5, although the equipment was nice, they were extremely lacking in equipment and weights. Usually stay at places with much nicer facilities; gets a bumped up a point due to constant stocking of coffee, water, and towels.
Food: 4/5. Fish at restaurants and room service were top notch. However, stick with the fish at restaurants as the red meat was much worse than what I'm accustomed to at home.
Grounds: 5/5. Amazing intricacy in how well they are maintained. Meticulous attention to detail and obvious respect of the local foliage and animal life. The on-site coral reefs for snorkeling are inhabited as well as the various tours on the island.
Crowdedness: 5/5, most stay in their bungalows allowing you free roam to pools, beaches, gyms, and restaurants.
Bungalow: 5/5, spacious and well equipped (robes, lotions, soaps, flip-flops, etc) with great views on all sides. We had the lagoon view with a morning sunrise/sunbathing whereas the other side would have the mountain and sunset. I still can't decide which I would prefer but irregardless the water is tranquil making for an easy dip and rinse at the outside shower on your deck.
Would, and will, go back again.

We visited here with our 3 year old daughter, and we all had an amazing time: Beautiful views, calm and warm water, delicious food and drinks, incredible service. Everything was perfect, and I can't think of anything to complain about.

The resort was at capacity, but it did not seem busy, and there was always lots of room by the pool, at the beach, and in restaurants. This trip ended up being quite expensive, but once you are here, it is very clear why this is expensive.

It will be tough to go anywhere else after this vacation.

Nicest people ever! Smiling all the time. We were on and off boats viewing fish, in the water and eating wonderful food at the hotel. Weather was 80-degrees every day - and they said that is year round. We were in a toom [that looked a hut] but was posh over the ocean. It was a bay that was protected.

There's no question that the experience with service and quality of accommodation is perfection, close to flawless. Dining choices is limited but this is the nature of being isolated in a lagoon. The Four Seasons, nonetheless, does an excellent job with staying close to authenticity.

We just finished up an absolutely perfect four night stay at the Four Seasons Bora Bora and I can t recommend it enough. The Four Seasons service made our stay effortless and calm, with easy communications via the Four Seasons app. Our overwater bungalow was so nice, that we spent a lot of time on it just enjoying the views. My daughter enjoyed the kids club in particular and how the staff made her feel extra special while celebrating her 6th birthday. The food was delicious, as expected, and the restaurant staff were also really pleasant. Of course the setting is absolutely mind blowing, I ve traveled a lot but never have seen such a stunning landscape as Bora Bora. Most importantly, the staff at the Four Seasons realize that a visit is a dream, trip of a lifetime, so they ensure it goes beyond the high expectations. I really feel that it was money well spent!

Absolutely fantastic vacation on this amazing property.

A cool looking boat will be waiting to pick you up from the airport and take you to the resort. And since our flight came in well before check-in we were taken to a private room, changed our clothes and spent the rest of the time on the beach.

The over water bungalow had an amazing view and was well appointed with great care taken to the look and design. You can close everything up and stay in the air conditioning or open all of the sliding doors and walls and be as outdoors as you like. Even the bathtub and bedroom. The deck outside comes complete with lounge chairs for sun on one side, a covered table and chairs on the other and your own private dock for swimming and snorkeling in the middle.

If you want to vacation like a rock star then reserve one of the villas. These are basically houses with your own private beach, infinity pool, spa and backyards.

Just fantastic.

Again the design is well thought out and unpretentious. No Tiffany chandeliers or gold plated fixtures but lots of teak wood and beautiful appointments.

The resort staff went above and beyond for us. The concierge even arranged a custom trip to the main island just for us.

Free kayak, inflatables and snorkel gear use and jet-ski trips, snorkeling, diving, off-road excursions, ATV trips and dinner on the main island can easily be scheduled through the concierge.

Or, just sit on the beach and enjoy the view.

The best vacation ever.

Honestly one of the best Four Seasons location I ve ever visited. It almost feels like it was all a dream. My wife and I got the overwater Mountain View with pool and had breakfast included with dinner credit in our booking and spent most of our stay relaxing at the resort. The view of the mountain is amazing and you ll find yourself staring at it as you walk around the resort. There are countless features I can mention about how incredible our stay was here from jumping off our patio into the water or the quality of service provided to the amazing FS app which is a must have during your stay. The one thing my wife and I reminisce about the most is their Brioche French Toast, it s amazing, I wish I could find the recipe somehow. Until then we ll just have to look at pictures, and maybe I can use this to convince my wife to plan another visit. :)

Exactly what you would expect of a Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora... and then some. The property is in amazing condition. The service was outstanding. The cuisine was delicious.

We enjoyed an over water bungalow and that was a treat in itself. The bungalow was beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. We could have spent our time in the bungalow. But, alas, the beach, pool, spa, and activities were calling. We would have missed out on a lot of things if we hadn't consulted with the incredible Concierge.

Lastly, we enjoyed our vacation in Bora Bora in mid-July and the weather was perfect! Highs in the low 70s, abundant sunshine, cool breeze, and not nearly as humid as I would have expected.
