March 13, 2015...Went to the Bella Vista at the Four Seasons Biltmore. What a major disapointment! This was our 33rd anniversary. The $ 50 ribeye was barely a 1/2 inch thick and was full of gristle. The 'rustic potato' was a baked potato that had marinara sauce on it. What??? The potato was over cooked if that is what they meant by 'Rustic'. Should have gone to Maestro's.

The sunset from the dining room and view were beautiful but the dining was disappointing. They comp'd our drinks but for me that was not enough for what we paid. I could gone to Costco and bought 6 ribeyes that were much better than the 'aged beef' we were served. Need to get Robert Irvine to check the place out.

Easy booking and great service. I was late and Porter had our luggage in our rooms told me not to worry about a thing.. I never did get to say thank you to him. I helicoptered out for a meeting moments later and wasn't back until late. Thank You.

This is the only resort I knew in my whole life that brought me to paradise. All the services, food, staff, amenities were all top notch. I would love to be back in here and spend my weekends and long vacations. This place is excellent and deserves to be recommended!

First time in this hotel, and it was EXCELENT! It has the best location in Santa Barbara, just in front of the beach, the breakfast it really good, and the people working there are fantastic.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and our stay could not have been better!

We headed to the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara after having a terrible experience at the Residence Inn in Camarillo where we were staying at for a convenient location and because we were traveling with our dogs. The Four Seasons is not only gorgeous, the property is stunning, the staff is friendly and our room was perfect. We had our two dogs with us and they placed us in a perfect cottage with complimentary dog food, water and a dog bed. There is no pet fee or weight restriction. The room was spacious, clean and we had a private patio and semi-private yard. The staff was beyond accommodating and everything about the experience was luxurious.

We would've stayed here all week if there would've been availability! Can't recommend this hotel enough!

I think the view alone is worth every penny this place charges. Beautiful property all over. Location cannot get any better! One of my favorite places to stay at for a weekend getaway. I would certainly consider this a 'romantic' place. They do have an awesome brunch with gorgeous views.
Why the 4 stars? although the property is beautiful , the rooms are a bit out-dated and can use some help.

Absolutely exceptional experience. The staff, the restaurant, the views. Everything was done perfectly. The attention to detail of this resort is impeccable. Definitely a place to visit and stay at in Santa Barbara. Or even go for a meal. Quality breakfast buffet as well but pricey. As you would expect. One of the best resorts on the coast period.

Beautiful beach, but narrow. Probably no beach at high tide. We did not stay at the resort, but it looks beautiful and in a quiet setting. Very close to strolling and shopping in Montecito.

We remember with respect Mehmet Baydar, Turkish Consul General in Los Angeles and his deputy, Consul Bahad r Demir who were assassinated many years ago on January 27, 1973 at this hotel in Santa Barbara by Armenian terrorist Gourgen Yanikian.

Awesome food!! We stopped before heading home on the last day of our Cali road trip from Oregon. The steak was the best I have ever had hands down. The homemade pasta was also great! Drinks were awesome and great service! The views were beautiful. Can't wait to go back. Spendy but worth it!

Best summed up by the most heard phrase, "sorry to keep you waiting" but don't let that put you off. The hotel was perfectly situated for the beach, albeit a few miles of of town; the rooms and public areas are beautiful and the staff friendly. The bar had a lot of staff but they didn't seem to achieve a great deal as the service was, for the most part, grindingly slow. The Italian restaurant was superb with excellent service and food. The front desk and concierge were great. The rooms were lovely and clean and there was a turn down service. Overall it was a fabulous place, just that the bar that needed a little a bit of direction from a manager and the common areas need a little more light in order to read the menus and see the steps! Overall, loved it.

Restaurant- The prices are way too high for what you get. If you're hungry do not eat here. You will get 5 tiny, pieces of tortellini for 22 bucks!! The drinks at the bar- A small martini costs 19 bucks? Whats happening here? I am a local and go to listen to music with friends, and after our devastating mudslide and the loss of life, they had to close for over 6 months. I really wanted to support the Biltmore, but this is too much. My friends birthday dinner turned into a disaster. They didn't order her food (missed 2 peoples meals), and when it came time for her birthday "Treat", they arrived with 2 chocolate dipped strawberries, a couple other berries and a candle! What happened to a piece of cake, or cheese cake and ice cream? This was by far the cheapest birthday cake I have ever seen. I hope someone in the kitchen management sees this review and makes some very needed changes.

Service was wonderful, very friendly staff. The location of the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The only complaints I have are that the breakfast buffet is a little over priced for what you get, and if you want a relaxing pool day maybe pick a time to go when it's not Summer vacation. The pool was beautiful but it was hard to relax with screaming splashing kids. They should invest in a kids pool or an adults only pool area for people who want to relax. Other than that everything was 5 star. I would definitely come back again.

If you want to go somewhere to be seen or people watch this place is great. The views of the ocean are terrific. However if you are interested in good food and service, take a pass. After we ordered our first course we finally had to catch a passing waiter as ours hadn't returned in over 25 minutes. The drink pours are incredibly small! When I asked, the server announced loudly that they were 1 ounce pours! The salad was way over dressed when I asked for very light dressing. Lastly I can recognize an 8oz steak and this was not even close! We won't be back!

We got married here in July and was amazing and perfect. Our wedding was flawless - the food, the setting, the cake (which I cared deeply about!), and our service from the hotel. We in particular adored Akiko. We had friend and family fly in from all over and everyone commented on the hotel, the setting, and how well our events went. We are so delighted to now have a connection to the hotel and the area.

Beautiful location on the beach in Montecito California. Nice brunch, nice place for tea. Obviously expensive. Stayed here for wedding, beautiful rooms and property. Great spot for wedding photos.

Good location and awesome view, but we were disappointed with the room $645 before tax is not cheap, whereas the room is very small. In the bathroom I found a wilted flower in a dirty glass bottle. The second day when we came back from the seashore, we found that although the room was cleaned but obviously the housekeeper didnot do his/her job well, the table was covered by dust and the bathroom looked still dirty. The wilted flower was gone but the dirty glass bottle was still there. By the way, we did put tips on the bed and it was taken by the housekeeper, if the dirty room has nothing to do with the tips, I don't know what's wrong with the housekeeper or with the hotel. We breakfasts and dinners at the hotel during the two days we were there, yes, the waiters looked nice but I was not seticefied with their service. We ordered steak but was not given steak knife, my husband ordered oysters, also he was not given fork and spoon for that. All in all I will never go back again.

Nice
