Clean and spacious family room. Good location and option to pay for parking. Only reason for 4 stars is high cost.
Mold in the room, bathroom and public showers. The breakfast is not recommended. No storage facilities for chilled food in the kitchen possible. Hard drug use right in front of the hostel, because right next door is a relief organization.
The place was pretty good especially for my first hostel. Price wasn't bad and a lot of characters there. I just didn't like the vibe the guys were putting off about my group. They were decent but felt like they didn't fancy us.
The people at reception were always helping, rooms were a bit small but they had everything I need.
Great staff, decent prices and great location. Close to the centre but away from all the noise. Good value for money.
Nice atmosphere, bedrooms can be much better and the shower have no privacy at all. I would come back for the atmosphere and the kitchen which was nice, the rest can be improved.
Nice stuff pretty cheap prices chill and super close to the heart of Dublin
A bit noisy,
I don't recommend
Okay hostel, not quite super cozy so no place to meet other travelers. The bathrooms were dirty and not very comfortable. The beds in the rooms were old and generally it was not super clean. We did not try the breakfast. You get what you pay for.
Dated youth hostel. Sober breakfast. Not expensive. Price - quality is in proportion. Good location downtown city.
Family room was great!
Spacious room, good beds and pillows, even coffee and tea facilities with a kettle, good heating, sitting area, coat rack. Breakfast standard, but delicious cookies and extensive choice of tea and coffee! Do the dishes yourself. Shower jet fine but not really hot ... Free towels! It was noisy in the hallway but not after 2200.
All in all a great accommodation with helpful staff!
The hostel is okay. The rates were reasonable and the service is pretty good. The room is tiny, cold and my pillow seems to have been smashed by something incredibly heavy. But, it is a good location so that helps.
Great location, no real complaints about the rooms. Only downside was a bad view from our window but whatever. Staff was also very nice.
Home very smiling and nice, clean place with a lot of service, very comfortable and clean room, I recommend.
Excellent Hostel, clean, safe, and very helpful staff
The street on which gave the room (dormitory of 6) was very noisy all night (traffic, evening exits) and badly air-conditioned ... For the small budgets or the persons caught of court.
Absolutely terrible...stayed 2 nights over the weekend. A long term residents birthday so staff must have thought it was acceptable to party till all hours while other guests where trying to rest they were drinking and playing loud music to at least 4am..and Saturday night wasn't much better.
We had accidentally booked a girl's room with five boys. Of course we could not get in there. On the mistake the receptionist pointed us however only after we had paid. Then we did not get a cent again.
Rooms for 16 people with shared and small bathrooms, moderately clean but the room did not smell good, take a padlock from home if you want to store your luggage in the sliding baskets under the beds. Efficient wi-fi service and good self service breakfast. Kitchen available to guests, sufficiently equipped.
Really easy going place, and really safe and secure
Stayed there 1 night June 16 2019. Good experience rooms and beds are clean. Reception is staffed with helpful employees. Common areas are clean and open. Had stayed in Isaac's night before and this hostel was cleaner and more modern. Not as well publicized but definitely feels modern bunks have power outlets and USB plugs. Modern hostel in downtown dublin would recommend again
Great hostel - close to the temple bar area, Guinness factory, St Patricks Cathedral and the oldest bar and restaurant in Dublin.
My only concern is with regards to safety at night due to neighbouring buildings - there are a considerable number of homeless people that loiter around this area and openly do drugs on the pavement, although I didn't feel unsafe, I would be worried if I was alone as something could always happen.
Central location near Temple Bar. Typical hostel standard. Very noisy. The breakfast is free and therefore qualitatively and quantitatively not worth mentioning.
Very bad experience I separated it for two nights, I was blocked one and the other they have not returned it yet
Clean, spacious, helpful staff. Very nice place where you can meet a lot of people from all around the world.
All in all a very reasonably priced hostel, eat great, the rooms top and clean, also a very nice central location. The only drawback is that the water temperature is very unreliable and can change very quickly from boiling hot to freezing cold.
I really felt like this was a nice place for a hostel. The rooms were decently sized and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They had computers you could use with internet to plan your trip. The only thing they could improve on I thought were the bathrooms. They were clean, but the shower drains clogged so there was standing water, the faucets stuck down so the water would run, and the toilet often wouldn't flush. Besides those things, which are easy to get around or get over, it was a great place to stay for a hostel.
Very cheap place.
The bad: the heating and the bed, which is very uncomfortable.
The good: the price and the attention of the reception.
Also as a positive point is that the place has a large kitchen and a good common area.
I ve stayed in different hostels across the world, from the jungles of Africa, the mountains of Asia, the Alps; the Far East of Europe, Caribbean, both North & South America and all these hostel had two things in common, vibrancy and affordability. Sadly here there seems to be lack of vibrancy, there are long term residents who are bully and so rude. I don t know if it s because most of the time I ll only be a person of color. I have been subjected to the most inhuman treatment so far but I m so damn loyal to the place. The reception is on point, polite and patient folks who will assist you with anything from your booking, cancellation, extension and recommendations for place to have the best and cheapest meal.
Now in terms of the rooms, know that this isn t a 5 star hotel, the price says it all. So they are just like any other hostel, nothing fancy, only that with this one, their mattresses are too hard and solid; they aren t comfy at all, some rooms are way too small and you hav to share two shower rooms with close to 24 people who live in two rooms adjusted to each other. This is disgusting to say the least, only in a prison can 24 people share two shower rooms. This violate all health and safety regulations
Further, their breakfast is so limited and so basic, every time after eating it, I feel sick, to be honest, it s unhygienic. The plates, cups and spoons are washed by individuals, the management or staff never clean them once in a week at the very least, so make sure you clean an item before and after using it unless you are ready to fall sick
Overall rating I ll give this place 3 star. The location is good as you aren t far from pubs and all that.
Clean but noisy at night
Good bedding good welcome
Friendly staff, clean hostel, free breakfast! Thanks y all!
Free Wifi, clean rooms and bathrooms, 24 hours a kind and helping person at the reception, the breakfast was very simple (toast, jam, butter, cereals and musli, I mean you can bring your other stff and store it easily in the kitchen, BUT the instant coffee was horrible, sorry guys) nice kitchen to prepare your meals and the best is the location, more central is not possible, we would come back, thank you st
Good central location, but the rooms are very small. Broken toilet and a broken table lamp in the room.
Friendly and quick service.
Nice place to stay.. Very friendly staff... Spacious rooms. They offer free breakfast and WiFi. The only thing I didn't like is that they have "eco-friendly" showers that only stay on for 20 seconds (have to keep pushing the button constantly)... Otherwise great place to stay
This is a great place to stay for sightseeing and shopping. We didn't spend much time in our room. It's small but very clean, towel's, sheets and pillows are spotless. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Very nice cozy has reading room, pin table, a large common room, rich breakfast and included! And the location near downtown temple bar
This was an amazing hostel. Gotta check out the bubble room downstairs
It is okay for a budget. Try to get discount week rate.
Great place to stay, helpful staff, brilliant location.
It is a good hostel and very cheap. It's also right in the city center
Very nice Hostel with a very very friendly receptionist!
Amazing
Cheap and cheerful, not too far from the tourist action.
With little expectations, top! Otherwise not recommended.
Good hostel, I was in a mixed dormitory of 6, clean rooms and sheets nice and helpful staff. Close to the center.
Has everything you need and people working are ready to help you with anything you ask; however it is a very busy hostel and the fridge is quite nasty, also the location is perfect as far as walking distance. But you might see someone shooting up or smoking ceack, right next to it because of the Franciscan assistance centre next door. However you will not feel the need to worry about security as they are on top of it 100 percent.
It is a very familiar Hostel, its very kind employees and they have everything clean
We could spend the night in the roof. Small room, mini-bath! And at breakfast you have to rinse yourself afterwards. Unfortunately, there was only a meager breakfast.
Cozy hostel, friendly staff and well equipped kitchen
Very expensive 140 for 8m2 with bunk beds and no private shower
Plastic dishes to do after a lousy breakfast
To avoid absolutely when you are very young and to question when you are
Amazing area, quiet and very 70's, art all over the walls and free WiFi! Great service too and the rooms are spotless
Unlike other hostels I ve had in the country, but definitely the biggest. As a result it has the widest variety of people there - some people watching netflix on the computer the whole time, other groups of students, everything in between. The staff was very nice, the facilities were 4 stars, but overall good but not great.
The absolute advantage of this hostel is that it is very easy to reach from the airport. The city center can also be reached in about 10 minutes.
We had a twin room. It was ok. The equipment was no longer the newest. The bathroom (toilet and sink) in the room was very small. There was a communal shower in the hallway that was unlucky because it was always manned. The shower was functional. The mattresses are very hard.
The breakfast was very Spartan (toast, Kellogg's, cereal, tea, coffee)
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
What confused us at first was that you get a security pass. We now also know why. Next to the hostel is a social station or shelter for the homeless. That's why you unfortunately meet junkies in the neighborhood. But they always left us alone. It's just a little uncomfortable.
SChlechtes wlan bad rooms reminisce about refugee cushions as thin as stamps
Great place and cheap. Good location in the centre of Dublin. Has free internet, breakfast and others.
The location of the hostel is great and the staff really nice and helpful.
Was really Good days, I had book for 16 nights. The breakfast was always from 7am into 9:30- with bread, Jam, milk, coffee, tea, cereal, cookies and Juices. There's is a huge kitcken, where You can prepare your food. Safety and Nice place
Cheap price, good location, varied breakfast, great common room, 4 stars because dorms are a bit small
staffs are nice and helpful but the facilities are not good and old
especially the washroom
leaking...
the floor will be all wet
after shower
slippery
and we asked for some dry towels
we got it after asking for 3 times .....finally
located near a place that people taking drugs even early in the morning
really scared
highly NOT recommended
Trendy hostel with friendly staff. On main road. Clean rooms and public eating area.
Had a great time at the Four Courts hostel. Any displeasure I had was all from other guests, as to be expected. To summarize my experience; great staff, great location, great price.
A very decent hostel. Location in the heart of the center. Good reception at the reception. The establishment is secure, spacious and large, the rooms are clean. I recommend this inn to you.
Very bad hostel. You have NO privacy at all, not even in the bathroom and it looks old as well. Not much cooperation of the staff either. Not a recomondation at all
Not very hygenic.
For one to two nights ok.
Ok overall !
Very good WiFi and prices very low but you get what you pay for. Bathrooms could be cleaner (mold in the shower) bit the rooms are ok !
Hostel itself was OK, but there were a bunch of dodgy characters openly taking drugs in one of the passageways every night, throughout the night and into the morning. Bit odd to have to walk through a crack den to get to your dorm.
