Staff is very friendly and helpful. I slept in one of the dorms. Right next to my bed was a bright exit sign illuminating the entire room, I could have probably read a book without turning any additional lights on. No chance to fall asleep like this.
Also - though neither the hostel nor the guests are to blame for this - a lot of guests seem to permanently live there as the city is struggling with a gigantic housing crisis.

I went on a trip with some friends, we chose it because of its location near temple bar, normalillo breakfast, beds a little uncomfortable, but good for a few days is fine.
Don't Book. Stay away.
Don't Book. Stay away.
Hostel seemed good at first, decent price and location. However noise from above and below our room made getting to sleep extremely hard.
Our room was advertised as having an ensuite however the ensuite was outside of the room and was actually shared with another big room next door and anyone staying in the hostel could walk in and use it, which happened a lot.
Then of all things we had to deal with the rudest member of staff I have ever had to deal with called Peter. 6ft, big build, beard and English accent.
Two people left after 2 nights however the room was fully paid for.
My Uncle sadly passed away and my cousin arrived from Birmingham had nowhere to stay.
Given that the room was fully paid up and we had room, I said sure why not stay with us. Well upon walking into the hostel we where confronted with Peter.
Peter accused us of trying to sneak someone in. He got extremely hostile so quick, he refused to allow me to speak to explain, he lied several times and was very intimidating.
After finally being able to explain to him the situation he refused to allow my cousin to stay. I asked him if they had any rooms free and he lied and said there were no rooms. He said he also owned the hostel which also.turned out to be a lie.
Eventually he finally allowed her to stay in the room at a cost of 15. The cost was a cost he made up and was unable to provide a receipt which leads me too believe it likely went straight in his pocket.
Credit where credit is due the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. But the experience of using this hostel has added so much stress to an already extremely stressful week.

A good clean hostel. Very central. The breakfast is not very tasty but meets the Irish standard at hostels. From here you can explore the city very well for several days. The Guiness Storehouse is also within walking distance.

Nice place in the center of Dublin. Room was good but the "quiet room" reeked. The Breakfast is very basic but the staff seems nice. Of course your stay there will be mainly affected by the roommates you get, like in every other Hostel. I really dont think that there is any better solution, considering price and value in this part of Town! The Temple Bar district is in a 5 Minute walk range and all public Transport options are also nearby.

I was in a 4 bed room, with in suit bathroom, the room was small but not excessively, nice and clean. The breakfast was the worst part: very few choices of things to eat and drink (bread, jam, cereals, milk, tea, coffe and a watered unnamed juice). No ham or cheese or savoury options. After breakfast you have to clean your own stuff, that I think it's absolutely not hygienic because I may be ill and don't wash my cup well and pass the illness to others. No thanks.
Anyway the position was quite good, close enough to Temple Bar, the center, to walk easily everywhere.

The staff are very helpful, the advice we received regarding restaurants was very good. Services are ok for the price. However, the sound insulation was not good but there was no specific problem. Good address for students.

The staff is very friendly and humorous. The decor is nice (especially last year for Halloween). The rooms are clean and have sufficient size. Unfortunately, a window was broken, right by my bed, so it got very cold at night. However, The Four Courts Hostel is perfect for a city trip and we had a pleasant stay.

Good location and organization. Many hobby and relaxation rooms. Uncomfortable beds and noisy rooms due to continuous movement in the corridor. View of an obscene garage building but positioned on the river bank with excellent connections. Friendly staff, excellent cleanliness and youthful atmosphere. Excellent quality / price.

We stayed in a 4bed room(family) with private bathroom. The room was very clean, bed spotless and with Christmas theme duvet covers. Bathroom was clean and shower really good. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with the mais stuff for a morning coffee. I really recommend this hostel for location and easy to find. Bus 747 has stop 100m from the door.

We take a team of college students to Dublin every May and have chosen to stay at Four Courts for the past 10 years. They are easy to work with when making reservations and very accommodating. The location is so convenient to everything in the city. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. The rooms have been spotless. The fridges are normally packed with guests food but labels provided by the front desk help in sorting out the stuff and the kitchen is kept clean. The new addition of small lights and plugs for mobile devices right on each bunk is great. For those that are "directionally Challenge" it is always to get back to Hostel due to it's location right on the Liffey River.

Cheap bunks in an extremely convenient location. They had no problem holding onto my luggage, including storing my touring bicycle at the end of a long bicycle tour across Europe. I m very glad I found such an accommodating place to stay in such a central location.

Great staff, easy to find, and convenient parking. First time staying in a hostel. Pretty much what I expected. Slept in a 6 person room with my 18 year old daughter. Felt safe. Guy in our room kept getting up in the middle of the night to smoke in the bathroom which was annoying. Mildew in the corner bathroom ceiling. Not much to offer for breakfast beyond cereal and toast. Despite the negatives I would stay here again.

The quality-price is correct: very cheap but quite shabby.
It's like a hostel: small rooms for several people, the kitchenware for breakfast you wash yourself, very diverse people ... yes, it's very economical and is very close to the center. You will not find an equal price in kilometers around.
The janitors are usually young people from Erasmus or similar, so you will not have a problem with the language; friendly treatment.

One of the best prices that can be found by location, located practically next to Christ Church Cathedral, 5 just over 5 minutes walk from Temple Bar, Ha'Penny Bridge or St. Patrick's Cathedral, and little else of 10 from the Guinness Storehouse.
We chose a double room with bathroom, which had bunk beds, with other more affordable options, such as rooms without bathroom and shared rooms with up to 16 bunk beds. It is not a place that looks clean or shows a good face, it must be borne in mind that it is, basically, a low cost hostel.
Includes continental breakfast, which is toast or cereals, and soluble coffee or cocoa and juice. In the end you have to wash what you use.
The staff, yes, very friendly.

The Four Courts Hostel is one of the best hostels ...
The Four Courts Hostel is one of the best hostels I've been to, and by this point I have been to quite a few. It's VERY safe, you have to have a different colored slip every day just to get in and the luggage room is impossible to get to if you're not a guest already. The location is super close to pretty much everything, it's like a ten minute walk to a lot of really neat places and you're right on the river. They have a lot of quality tours they can hook you up with, they do laundry there, the staff are super helpful, the free breakfasts never run out (which happens way too often at other hostels) and the kitchen has a lot of space to do your thing in!
My complaints are as follows - they allow semi-permanent residents. I thought this was cool at first, but then I realized how much room they take up after they get comfortable. They'll take up one of the four sinks dedicated to twelve people and leave their stuff at the sink at all times, leaving three sinks for eleven people. They accumulate food to the point that they dominate the fridge space and they take up a ton of space on the shelves.
It's not too hard to work around the semi-permanent guests, but it's an inconvenience you won't experience pretty much anywhere else.
Overall - great place, good breakfast, good location, clean, safe, and comfortable to boot!

The place is nice and it is nearby everything in downtown Ireland. The beds are good for a Hostel. The problem was, that the shower was really clogged, and it didn't matter if you have sandals, you could have get fungi because of this. We left pretty early, so I cannot say anything about the breakfast, but well. It's a nice hostel close to everything in Dublin.

We got lucky on the room part, others had broken beds & had to share a bathroom (which had mold on the wall) with the other rooms. Very central, but next to a homeless house (i think) and got confronted w/ crackheads. The kitchen is dirty and I'd recommend eating out :)
