I have known Josh and Terra for 16 years. Not only are they amazing business owners but they are incredible people. Fossil Creek Tree Farm is a great place when you need anything to make your yard and property look fantastic. If you need anything stop by and say hello. Tell them Kody sent you :)

A Christian family -owned business that will draw you back over and over again. The Haven gift shop offers homey up-scale decor, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the floral and landscape inventory is healthy and well displayed. And, they have the best Christmas trees.

Very welcoming atmosphere, both the people and physical layout. Lots of well cared for and diverse plants. Many very large plants and trees. I like that they've dated when the trees were potted, so it's unlikely you'll buy a root bound tree. Delivery and planting services are available. Don't expect big box store prices, this is one of a kind, locally owned. I'll be back with a specific list and budget, because it would be very easy to overspend here. Not that that's a bad thing.

Really great place! Very friendly to me and my son. Justin took time to explain and help us pick the right holly tree for our yard.

The trees they have are really big with high prices. We felt invisible there. Nobody bother to approach to see if we needed help or had any questions. Best place to go is "The tree place." Way more variety 10 times better service.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. They had the largest selection and largest variety of trees anywhere. The specific tree I was looking for other nurseries had one of. One. This place had dozens. Highly recomended!

I spent a bunch of money on a shumard oak from fossil creek tree farm, which was delivered and planted in the fall. Come spring time I noticed structural issues on the trunk. I contacted the texas forest service and they sent someone out to look at my tree. The assessment was that the damage was prior to my purchase and the structural integrity was compromised. The tree would be a danger to my house and others if allowed to grow and they recommended replacement. I contacted the tree farm and they were willing to work with me, but their replacement policy is only good for a year and allows for 50% off a replacement. So I bit the bullet and threw down another $300(half off the tree plus delivery and planting) to get the replacement. I picked the replacement tree in the fall so it was bare at this point. Come spring time the tree bloomed and leaves grew but they were never as full as my past shumard or others in the neighborhood. The tree never looked that healthy and now I've found signs of recent wood-boring beetle activity, indicating a weak and stressed tree. I think Fossil Creek sold me another bad tree, though I'm not willing to give up one this one yet. I will not do business with Fossil Creek anymore. My other three trees are thriving despite the current heat... a magnolia, red bud, and crepe murtle. I try not to over or under water and I use organic products on my yard. I provide compost and mulch for all my trees. Update 7/2011 I contacted the Texas Forest Service again and the manager of Forest Health diagnosed my situation: Round-headed wood borer infestation. The first hole is an exit hole from an adult. Internet research indicates a life cycle of 1 year or greater for this beetle, which would suggest infestation at or before the time of planting. I will contact Fossil Creek and post another update with their response. Update 8/27/2011: I brought my evidence to Fossil Creek Tree Farm. I found out the tree farm has changed ownership and the new owner was extremely helpful and willing to address my situation at no additional cost. I am extremely encouraged by his attitude and his personability. I have to dig up the old tree but he is going to deliver and plant the new tree next week. I am ready to wipe the slate clean and support the new owner. I will follow up and update my rating if the delivery goes well. Update 10/01/11: The Fossil Creek Tree Farm people took away my infested tree and planted the new one. It looks very healthy. I am happy and will try to do business with the Farm in the future.

This place is nice! Inside looks like a farm style magazine with all the trendy signs and decor. Everytime I come here, everyone says hi and offers help.

Omg! literally the nicest people ever ESPECIALLY TERRA! I bought a rare plant from them that wasnt cheap and i got home to find out all its roots were completely detached from the plant leaving me with a stem. This wasnt their fault by any means so I wasnt expecting much because i know plants are a bargain. To my surprise they were willing to exchange for an even bigger and healthier one and a free pot! I have never had better customer service. We will be returning here for all our rare plNts and any other planty needs :)! THANK YOU TERRA!

I work for Fossil Creek Tree Farm. And may I just say how thankful I am for this team! We are like one big family! Our bosses (the owners) are perfect examples of leaders! A leader isn t just someone who tells you what to do, they show you. When we get busy, or something is wrong they are out there suffering with us. Lol. We pray that all of you enjoy coming and having an escape from your busy, chaotic lives! We LOVE to help! Thankful that we get to serve, inspire, and educate all of you :)

Should be zero stars. Left 4 messages for someone to call and no return phone call. Why would I spend any money with a business that can't even pickup a telephone or return a call. I guess they didn't teach this at Dallas Baptist University, seems like this is a no brainer Business 101.

I have been trying to get my tree replaced for months. The first time I stopped by I was told I would receive an estimate to remove my tree (never happened) and picked out a new tree to replace it with. All of which they wanted me to pay for upfront. I wasn't going to pay for the tree until I knew for sure I would get HOA approval to do the project. I went through the process of getting approval that day but it still took several weeks to get the approval for the project. After I finally received approval, I contacted the person I spoke with and she said she would get back to me. Didn't happen... Contacted her again. Same result... I stopped by today to see what the status was. I was told the tree I picked was gone and I would have to wait a minimum of a month for availability. The lady I spoke with could have cared less if I ever returned. She did absolutely nothing to try to resolve the issue. I guess when people are busy and making money little things like customer service doesn't matter.

Response : I find it interesting you didn't actual address the issue I had in my review. Instead you chose to belittle me by stating things that are not accurate. I didn't wait 2 months to contact someone. I contacted the original person I talked to as soon as I got HOA approval which was about 2 1/2 weeks. Your poor customer service led me to actual get my tree fixed the way I wanted it. My tree has been replanted and is thriving. I had a different company do it and I am very pleased with the service I received. Instead of trying to get me to spend money on a new tree, they actual did what I wanted done originally. As stated above... YOU HAVE STILL DONE NOTHING TO TRY TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM AND SHOW ABSOLUTELY NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Renee is the best here (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly). She has helped my wife and I a ton with privacy bushes and trees over the last few months. We pass a lot of nursery's on our drive from Weatherford for good reason. Fossil Creek has had the absolute best variety, technical help, and competitive prices to keep us coming back. Loading staff was a polite group of kids as well who were eager to help.

Such a beautiful spot, filled with all kinds of unique things from plants to gifts and home items. The staff answered tons of questions, were friendly, and even gave me advice on caring for other plants I already had at home. I ve been back a few times and always leave with new treasures.

Staff here are so helpful! I was able to go in with a vague plan of what I wanted I needed and they helped me develop it into a great vision. They explained how to plant everything to get the maximum bang for my buck.

Awsome place to get great ideas for making your yard beautiful. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Just let them know what you want to do and your environment and they will walk you through what to buy and how to do it.

They will even do your planting irrigation and maintenance.

I was looking at 40 gal. Red Oak trees. I found two but they require a trailer to haul or have them deliver.

If you love gardening, this is a to go place. They have a large variety of plants. The staff is amazing.

They have a great selection to choose from and the staff was very helpful and patient. We were in the middle of a large landscape project in our backyard they answered all our questions.

Love supporting local business, but they obviously don t want my business. Called multiple times for a quote on flower bed brick and stone wall, had to leave several messages before someone finally returned it and visited our home for an estimate. It wasn t an estimate though, it was just a survey of the job for someone else that needed to come take a look. More than a week later, still nothing from anyone. We even stopped in one day last week to buy some plants (which we did) and left a message for the lady who came out to see us that we were eager to get started and looked forward to hearing from them. Not a single person has reached out to us in any form of communication. In the meantime, I was able to get 5 other quotes from other local companies, start the job and now close to finishing the job, still before anyone has ever reached back out to me. So again, I guess they don t need my business, they must be so successful that my several thousand dollar job wasn t worth it, not to mention continued future business and the personal referrals I could have given to my network. Too bad cause it s a beautiful local store with a great selection. We would have been regular customers being that we live right up the street from it.

I had an original concern, but Josh completely made it right. He went out of his way to get in touch with me to address my concern and rectify it. Thank you for that. We absolutely love the weeping willow that we got.

My family first started doing business with Fossil Creek about four years ago shortly after building our home. We purchased two Live Oaks initially (that their team planted for us) and another Red Oak a year or so after that. All are still thriving today. Not only do they have wonderful trees, they have beautiful flowers and outstanding landscaping services. They provided us with a landscape plan for our front yard and we ve been steadily purchasing plants from them to put towards their plan. Plus, the ambience of the nursery is just amazing!

I have purchased many bushes and truck loads of mulch and dirt from Josh and Ed. They have always treated me great! From picking out the right bushes, to advise on helping them grow. You won't find this kind of help at the national chains. Even though they are 30 minutes further, I will continue to go to Fossil CreekTree Farm,

The staff here are amazing! They're very knowledgeable and helpful. I love that you can walk through their selection of trees and chose which one you want. They also walked me through how to plant and care for the tree for the first year. Highly recommend this place.

I was looking to buy some trees for my home several months back and finally decided to do something about it. I pass this nursery on my way to work and so I decided to stop by. When I came up to the entrance/front desk there was a group of workers all standing in a group conversing. They all seemed to be college age kids. When I walked up to the counter, a few of them glanced at me, then completely ignored me with a "too cool for school" type attitude. I saw a guy doing something behind the counter and so asked him if he could help me as I was looking to buy some trees. In a very dismissive and annoyed tone he said, "Yeah, the trees are all back there," and gestured with his hand. For a second I just stood there shocked by the rudeness and flat out disrespect. I have never been treated that way by any business here in the Fort Worth area. Without another word I decided that a place like that would never recieve a dime from me. I went down the road to another nursery not far away and recieved infinitely better service. About two weeks later I found out that my neighbors had a similiar experience. They also went looking to buy some trees and they said that when they asked about buying some of the larger trees that the girl helping them kept commenting that she didn't see why they wanted to look at those trees because they couldn't afford them. The girl also had some attitude the entire time. My neighbors ended up doing the exact same thing as me and going to the same nursery I did and recieved far better treatment. Would not bother giving my business to this place.

The quality of the plants and trees they offer is superb! Last year we purchased a 30 gal. bald cypress, which we paid a fee to have delivered. My only concern was that they picked the day and time to deliver it to us. Luckily it worked out well but I would have rather picked the day and time. My husband removed our old tree that the builder of our home planted (it was diseased and the builder refused to replace it). Well my husband installed the new tree himself according to the nursery instructions. I followed the care and watering schedule instructions that came in a folder with the tree. That bald cypress is beautiful and thriving! This year we needed to replace our front yard landscaping (the builder of the home didn't place shrubs that would thrive in the shade of our North facing home). The shrubs I ordered online are 3 gal. azaleas and densiformis yew and they are absolutely beautiful! Much better quality and bigger size shrubs than the Home Depot or Lowe's supposed 3 gal. shrubs. Definitely worth the price! On my online order I indicated the day I wanted to pick them up and I called one hour before I was going to pick them up to give them a heads up. Everything went smoothly at pick up even though it was raining. I was greeted inside by the register right away and directly to the pick up zone. One of the workers was a kind Hispanic gentleman that loaded my shrubs in my truck for me so I didn't have to go out in the rain. Great service!

I visited for the first time on 5.01.20. Let me say, this nursery has THE MOST VIBRANT plants/flowers from HEB to Southlake and at extremely fair prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Knowing that the owners are Christians is icing on the cake. I shall be back!!! 5 STARS!

They have a wide selection of plants and trees, many of them are A&M suggested for North Texas. The staff is always willing to chase down the answers you need. They also offer landscaping services, and will install trees for a nominal fee.

Definitely worth a thirty minute drive, but have plenty of time so you can browse!

Awful costumer service and the plants they picked out for me for pick up were wilted dehydrated and had dead tips. They looks awful. I can t believe they weren t embarrassed to be selling plants in that type of condition. When I went to check out I was at register wallet out and ready with 4 employees literally 4-5 feet away from me socializing with each other, fidgeting with plants, doing nothing basically. Facing my direction mind you not able to miss me. But none of them bothered to ask me if I was ready or came to help. After several minutes of waiting I asked if this was where you check out. Horrible costumer service. Can t believe I drove 30 minutes from TCU area Fort Worth to receive dead plants and ridiculous customer service.

Wow, the staff were ALL amazing. They were helpful and had friendly service, and they were very knowledgeable. Great selection of everything and they went through, patiently and thoroughly explaining to my husband and I, all the options to choose from and which would be best for our needs.

Beautiful nursery. Purchased a salvia that was tagged for 9.99, the register rung up 12.99. I was unable to reach anyone to correct this, even if for the next customer. So make sure you pay attention during check out. If your looking for trees/ shrubs/ anything over a 1 gal this place is unfortunately very overpriced.

Purchased a Magnolia tree 2 weeks ago and paid $300 for the tree plus another $300 for installation. I'm not happy with the tree installation and i'm afraid that will not last.
Basically, Mr. Victor and his team removed the old tree and dumped the new one in without spreading the roots. They left a lot of mess around the front porch and walkway. I have called the Fossil Creek and the customer representative stated that someone will call back. Guess what... nobody called. We're very disappointed of their service.

UPDATE 07|02|2020:

The owner, Josh decided to pick up the phone and call. I enjoyed how he handled my issue. He can't be everywhere and looks he trust his employees a lot. I decided to raise the review from one to four due to his professionalism.

Thanks to Fossil Creek we now have an extended brick patio, two beautiful stone walls, and much more interesting plants. Our back yard brick patio was small and confining and now it s large and welcoming. Unfortunately, the fact that our back yard is always shaded and cold didn t help with curing the new brick to prove it matched the existing brick. Josh was patient and understanding while we waited for 2 months for the new brick to dry to ensure the new and old sections matched.

Because the builder didn t level the side yard or build a stone wall to fix the slope, we contracted with Fossil Creek to get this done. The wall looked so nice, that our neighbor decided to contract with Fossil Creek to have the same thing done! As a result, we ended up with beautiful stone walls on both sides of our house! Watching the guys finish the walls was like watching an artist painting a canvas. Great care and thought went into the selection, placement, and cutting of each stone. Now that our side yard is level and has the wall for support, we can pull trash cans out from the back yard without falling!

Fossil Creek also updated our front yard landscaping to include a beautiful magnolia tree, crepe myrtles, and other plants. All are providing more color and variation than we previously had with the builder-supplied landscaping.

Jason and Josh were patient, thoughtful, and even funny at times throughout all of these projects. It s kinda sad to see all of our projects come to a close because we really enjoyed their visits and help!

Best nursery in the Eagle Mountain Saginaw area. The staff was attentive and helpful. They indoor shop had a ton of current decorative items and planting containers. Loved the shop! The nursery has a great selection and I was able to find exactly what I went in for. One of the best nurseries I have been to in quite some time.

Wonderful place to get unloaded as a female OTR driver. Had plenty of help unloading. Did NOT touch any freight at all. Lori in the office is a saint! Josh, the owner is so awesome. Thanks FOSSIL CREEK for Everything.
