English tea shop, supplier of the crown. The place is very nice. There are very classic teas and blends, cookies and other cakes, many packaging to make gifts. Regarding teas, there is choice, but it is not extraordinary either.

Great food, lovely decor and friendly staff. Location is fairly small so definitely worth planning ahead and booking to avoid disappointment. They have a nice souvenir shop as well.
This little outpost of Fortnum & Mason is like one of those London secrets you don't want to share. The location is outstanding. The champagne is delicious. It's got the feeling of a first class lounge - classy, quiet, relaxed and just a touch indulgent. All the things I love. The oysters are fantastic, as is the service. And on top of all that, I think it's extraordinary good value for money.
One of my new favourite places in the City. The interior is mind blowing and everything else is perfect too!
We had a wonderful time in this stunning place yesterday. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ve been greeted by Florent who made sure we were looked after. It was my colleague s birthday and they arranged a delicious cake for her. Big thank you barmen Kremtim. Great place, will definitely come back.
Scones are delicious. Service is good. Sikang is delicious and the tea is delicious. The single afternoon tea set is only available here. Super full. I have to say, I remember the salty dish is the bottom one? Or am I remembering it wrong. Anyway, the salty point is average, the cake is too sweet and too greasy.
Great coffee, good food, friendly table service BUT the greeter (I won t give her the honour of being referred to as a maitre d ) is rude, sneering and sarcastic - she lets the place down and clearly feels she s above her customers.
I tried a small plate as I wasn't too hungry - I had the beluga which comes with a nice presentation, and scrambled eggs to your liking, cooked on an arriving trolley. Excellent with a nice glass of champagne.
With the Royal Exchange behind as a backdrop, one cant really complain, can one? Recommend this place for a nice high end drink for meeting and chatting with friends or family.
Good indoors area of the main hall which is occupied by luxury retailers around the perimeter. The food is upmarket (so small portions) and the ambience is always conducive to work meetings.
Great service, beautiful setting in the Royal Exchange. Went on a Virgin deal, very limited menu choice. My choices were fab however my fellow diners did not enjoy the shrimp burger or the knickerbocker glory.
Lovely venue (but it always was). Service is laughable, so slow, left standing around for ages, wrong wine brought, could not get food and drinks to arrive at the same time. The whole thing was painful for somewhere so overpriced. Lets hope they get their act together fast or this isn't going to last.
I've always loved this brand, but I've had such a disappointing online experience with them that I had to give them one star. 3 hampers ordered and not a single one delivered, and no communication to say so. Just take my money then nothing. Sort your CRM system out, because you're really letting yourselves and your customers down.
It s a beautiful place to sit for a drink especially with all of the Christmas decorations, however when we had a drink here we did seem to be invisible to the staff when it came to ordering... it does have a bit of a snobby vibe, not sure I d bother returning, I think there s better places around with much better service for a similar kind of price.
My food, which I ordered 3 times, never came. Also I booked a table and the waiter said I could only sit on a table and not at the bar if I ordered dinner (which I did, but it never came, after 45 minutes of waiting) he then came up to me 40 minutes later to tell me the ice cream (which I had never ordered) now had melted and the peanuts where now mixed or something like that (no clue what he was taking about). Anyway after one hour he came up to me again to ask what I wanted to order?! I am guessing he has some form of amnesia! Anyway they gave me the cocktail (which did come) for free because of all of this hence the two stars rather than one.
By far the most unwelcoming Fortnum s that I ve been to. They literally just want you to pay and get out of there. The staff provides no service, certainly not to the standard of Fortnum we expect. No smiles, no eye contact, and they just look annoyed all the time.
I stopped by after work for tea and drinks after work. I do like the place and they got me seats by the bar easily that s why my 2 starts, otherwise I would give nothing. It took them like 10 min to look to us and further 10 min to bring a glass of wine when We were were seated by the bar, and the place was relatively empty. Considering how long it take the drinks we requested the bill, another 10 min to someone come to get the payment. I saw a guy that was in suit and I thought was the responsible so I wanted to complain about the poor service. He apologise without wanted, almost giving me his back. Then I insisted and increased my voice to tell about the poor service. What then made him Give me attention. He got the bill. We didn t need to pay, but he was absolutely rude to say good night. It wasn t about getting the bill for free, but definitely not expecting a treatment like this from Fortum Mason bar. Definitely never coming back.
Beautiful looking venue, the central bar is just stunning. The service was warm friendly and attentive, all the staff I came across were also very knowledgeable. The food was served in good time, fresh & delicious, will definitely be returning to try more of the menu, they even serve afternoon tea.
A lovely experience. I m not much of a tea drinker (strike that - I don t like tea) but I had a wonderful time. The food with the high tea was delicious. The company was great and the experience was once in a lifetime. Well worth it if you have the time.
Edit : F&M even didn't bother to answer to my complaint/feedback e-mail, so they don't deserve 3 stars but only 1...
I'm disappointed by this restaurant. Usually a big fan of F&M, this one is not very convincing. Food quality is OK for the price, not amazing. And size are too little. It's a gastronomical restaurant, I don't ask for large portions, but at least a bit more consistent for the mains.
Two things saved the meal hopefully. The place is beautiful, absolutly stunning. And our waitress, Patricia, was amazing. She put us at ease, always having a nice word, taking great care of us. She is the gem of this restaurant :) Without her I would have probably put one star only.
Beautiful buding and extraordinary location. You feel royal having a cup of tea or English breakfast here. Accomodates to dietary requirements. The building is a little bit cold like a typical old building or museum so I always bring a silk cashmere scarf from Hermes as a blanket when eating here. The toilets are downstairs to the left directly after the entrance in case you dont like asking for locations. There is a Fortnum & Mason gift shop next to the restaurant where you can buy great teas and high end biscuits or jams. The shop is much more luxurious and peaceful than the original stressful shop near Green Park. We hosted an engagement dinner here one evening as there was live music in the large building with great accustics while dining. I hope this helps. Kindest #ingavardhan
Fortum's shop in the Royal Exchange is an absolute gem in the neighborhood. You have a great selection of teas, biscuits, honey and jam. Tea tasting is available every day. The interaction with the staff is friendly and fun. Love going there for a little break!
Such a lovely setting, was a treat for my 60th birthday. Was slightly disappointed that there didn't seem to be a dress code and anything seemed to be acceptable . Tea and cakes were lovely although some of the finger sandwiches had gone slightly past their best and a little dry on the edges
For the love of God please avoid this place at all costs. Unbelievably F&M have managed to create the antithesis of their Piccadilly home in this most spectacular City Venue. Unwelcoming and unfriendly this City of London tourist trap is tellingly devoid of local patrons. Very much the poor relation of its illustrious parentage.
If you like awesome service with a friendly smile good quality menu a most go place if you like English tea, surround by a historical building but keep in mind that all this comes at a price it should be a treat unless you have money to go there every day
We had a wonderful dinner with exceptional service provided by Danilo. The dishes were delicious and so was our wine pairing. Can highly recommend this stunning restaurant and don`t miss to browse around the luxurious retail space full of tempting delights.
Used to love this haven in the city...............love it more now. Great staff helpful patient well versed in ggod wine. Scallops? Delicious perfectly seasoned and chilled.
As always, a great atmosphere, good service, and a superb range of drinks. The tandoori cauliflower was excellent. Anti-covid measures are properly observed, but without ruining the ambiance.
Very nice dignified atmosphere and free Wi-Fi in the former stock exchange. Unfortunately, the waiters are a bit over friendly and there was no napkin to the dripping teapot. But you can still switch off super in the noisy city.
Lovely venue but service was very poor. The manager is not welcoming. Claims it s only a place for dinner and don t serve coffee or tea at 4pm. It s a convenient place to meet up but after one experience I won t recommend it.
An impromptu refreshment stop at Fortnum & Masons in the old exchange building. Grand surroundings, lovely bar with a range of cocktails and light bites.
Did not order food, just shopped the F+M store The selection is pretty awesome and you get a much more personal experience compared to the craziness of the main location. We enjoyed asking questions and learning neat flavor combinations with the loose leaf teas. Wangu and Tabita were rockstars!
Beautiful place, delicious food and excellent service mede our experience in Fortnum's Bar and Restaurant at Royal Exchange a night out to remember. Many thanks to everyone!
Nice atmosphere, double espresso taste is okay not great. No power points for laptops which may well be deliberate. V pleasant surroundings. 4 stars as no serious grumbles.
Booked for afternoon tea from an Xmas present and really looked forward to this. Unfortunately we were slightly disappointed.
Had booked months in advance. Walk ins were given a booth/ corner table with sofas and we were plonked on a table in the middle.
Service was slow and not as attentive as you would expect from this venue. Wrong champagne served followed by the wrong tea, only to be brought the right tea half hour later, which was no use.
For the expensiveness it was lacking pizzazz and the wow factor. Its not what you expect from this world renowned company.
Had lunch there today with 2 senior Execs. Was nervous as we were pushed for time, and put the restaurant under a bit of pressure by asking for quick turnaround times. They were excellent and accomodating. Tara, the Assistant Maitre'd made it a seamless and proffessional experience. They even had time to grab some shopping from the Fortnum and Mason shop. I've booked again already. Thank you.
We had a wonderful dining experience here recently. As a group of 10 we were very well catered for, with Danilo providing excellent service throughout the evening. The food was exceptional - chateaubriand is highly recommended - and the wine pairings complemented the meal choices perfectly. The ambience and setting was special, with the attached retail store providing the opportunity to pick up some Fortnums favourites. A fantastic evening - thank you!
We spent our wedding anniversary here last night-from the reservations team, to the manager/host, waitress , bar staff and the back of house team, they were all friendly, warm, welcoming , professional and an asset to Fortnum and Mason. The food was excellent, the cocktails were perfect and the atmosphere was just right.
My boyfriend and I chose to dine here for my birthday as we are both fans of Fortnum & Mason. From start to finish we were extremely happy with the service and the delicious food and drink! We were warmly greeted and shown to our table by Tamas, the kind and friendly manager. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful in keeping with the Fortnum and Mason standard. The food is delicious, I thoroughly recommend the Rib-eye steak with mash. The mash was exquisite...pillows of creamy delight! And the steak cooked to perfection. For the desert I had the creme caramel and it is the best I have ever eaten. It had a lovely chocolate piping with Happy Birthday which was a lovely touch. The interior is beautiful and I love the booth seating. We will definitely come back for drinks and nibbles as we would like to sit at the stunning bar next time. We will definitely be back for dinner on special occasions too. Thank you Tamas and team, keep up the great work!
Amazing experience! Service was impeccable. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Sparkly clean! Food was delicious! Recommend eggs benedict! And of course you have to get tea! It s lovely and will definitely entice you to walk into the shop and buy some for home! Finally, the fact that it s at the Royal Exchange, an iconic and historical place is the perfect cherry on top!
