Formlabs held a resume review event that offered helpful feedback from recruiters. They have cool office vibe in a building that seems nondescript. The road outside is pretty busy.
No Stars. Customer Service is horrible. Called numerous times for support. Phone calls are never returned.
A wonderful machine, capable of remarkable prints. When it works. Support is less than one would hope. Really more B to C, than B to B, which is disappointing, since they've positioned themselves as a printer for professionals. Looks like some serious growth pains, and some QC issues.
Beautiful space for a fun event. First time I've seen a bouldering rock wall on one side of a conference space!
I got a Form 3 and its all thanks to Jeff Higgins who works there he did his job and I bought this amazing printer. Customer support do their job. I support Formlabs !! Keep growing guys!!
Really cool place once you figure out the automated sign-in process.
Lots of great people doing fantastic stuff in the 3d printing field!
I am not a person that ever writes reviews however, I have never been so put off by a company. I do not and will not ever recommend anyone purchasing from them. For an expensive 3D printer with a year warranty, I would expect to be taken care of when within the year the printer malfunctions, overfills the resin tank, and ruins all the sensors in the machine. After almost a week of being shut down and me following up several times a day with them (almost no response from them) I was instructed to just use the machine. I guess it doesn't matter that there is a horribly loud grinding noise now and I guess it doesn't matter that before every print I have to ignore the warnings on the machine saying that the resin tank and cartridge are "out of date" (they are brand new but since the machine malfunction the machine always thinks they are old). Phone support is hard to find but once I found a number and called the man on the other line told me that since we didn't have the "pro service plan" (an additional cost) that I couldn't receive phone support. Here we are going on two weeks and I get the same run around via email with them saying it is fine when it is in fact not fine. Some warranty they have. Take your money somewhere else, a company like this is not a company to support.
I am very disappointed with the poor support and order fulfillment at Formlabs. I spoke to the support team about resin selection for our Formlabs 2 printer and was promised an answer by email which never arrived. I made a choice without their guidance and ordered Clear Resin with expedited 2 day shipping last Wednesday. On Thursday, I called to check on shipment and the Formlabs support person confirmed that the resin was not on backorder so it should be shipped that day or the next. It is now the following Monday and still no shipment shows on the dashboard. Following up by phone I get a 'no one is available to take your call, please leave a message' response. People have a right expect a more well run operation that is responsive on expedited orders. At this point I have no visibility into when or if our order will be actually be processed. Very underwhelming service at best from an organization that is showing an utter lack of maturity and reliability.

About Formlabs
Formlabs develops the Form 3 and Form 3L Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) and Fuse 1 selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printers for professionals.
Formlabs: Revolutionizing the 3D Printing Industry
Formlabs is a leading manufacturer of 3D printers that has been revolutionizing the industry since its inception in 2011. The company's mission is to democratize access to digital fabrication technology, making it accessible to everyone from hobbyists and small businesses to large corporations.
The Formlabs team is made up of experts in engineering, design, and manufacturing who are passionate about creating innovative products that push the boundaries of what's possible. Their flagship products include the Form 3 and Form 3L Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) printers and the Fuse 1 selective laser sintering (SLS) printer.
The Form 3 and Form 3L LFS printers are designed for professionals who demand high-quality prints with exceptional accuracy. These printers use a unique low-force stereolithography process that minimizes peel forces, resulting in smoother surfaces and finer details than traditional SLA printing methods.
The Fuse 1 SLS printer is ideal for producing functional parts with complex geometries. It uses a laser to selectively fuse powdered materials into solid objects, allowing for greater design freedom than traditional subtractive manufacturing methods.
In addition to their hardware offerings, Formlabs also provides software solutions that streamline the printing process from start to finish. Their PreForm software allows users to prepare models for printing with ease, while their Dashboard software provides real-time monitoring of multiple printers at once.
One of the key advantages of using a Formlabs printer is their extensive library of resins and materials. From standard resins like Tough or Flexible Resin to specialty materials like Dental SG or Castable Wax Resin, there's a material available for every application.
Formlabs has also established itself as an industry leader in education and support services. They offer comprehensive training programs for new users as well as ongoing technical support through their online community forums.
Overall, if you're looking for high-quality prints with exceptional accuracy or need functional parts with complex geometries produced quickly and efficiently - look no further than Formlabs! With their cutting-edge technology combined with unparalleled customer service & support - they truly are revolutionizing how we think about digital fabrication today!
