Fordham European Students Society Review

Fordham University is a private Jesuit university located across from the NYC Botanical Garden (on Fordham Road in the Bronx). Enter the campus and you have suddenly left the Bronx and entered New England. The campus is a rustic oasis in the middle of the urban jungle. Most of the buildings were built in the 1800s in the Gothic style. It is a great place to walk around after visiting the Botanical Garden. It is accessible via Metro North railroad at the Fordham station.

This is a school of Democrat teachings. You can not think for yourself as if you support the republican party you are not allowed to walk, talk or speak of your public opinion. This has been going on for years and it's finally out in the open. Waste of government funding.

Best collage ever, I'm a 6th grade student and my school is east Fordham academy for the arts, I been on 2 trips to see games. The collage is huge. My older brother is in this collage, he loves it, I'm just waiting to grow up and see if I get in

Literally pick any other college!!! I personally would NEVER let my daughter go here due to their student club run (hate group) coffee house. This campus allows bigotry and hate by allowing campus sponsored coffee houses to violate students first amendment rights. Disgusting and deplorable.

Best four years of my academic career. Fordham will always be my academic home because this is the place I first found out I wanted to serve the academy. Students are always nice; met lovely people. Couldn't have asked for more. Maybe I will come back here for a PhD; you never know.

I went here for a football game but I was late from taking photos of the campus and admiring it. It's a wide open space with historical buildings and easy access.

This school is a joke. Just another wanna be college that expects you to jump through hoops and spend all this money just to get your hopes up. It's sad that this college expects you to hit all your dead lines, have you write a 10 page paper in a weekend, get multiple calls and emails requesting paperwork to finish your admissions just to let you down. The so called advisor isnt even on the same page as the admissions department. Just another college stealing peoples money knowing damn well they have no intentions in helping someone pursue their masters. Sad school period.

It is an excellent university, my daughter studies here, this is her fourth semester and the experience is very good for her as a student and for us her parents.

An architectural gem, located in the Bronx, the mainland part of New York City!

I loved this university!! I'm Italian and for 2 weeks I stayed there.. It was incredible, the university is amazing and so big!
New York in general is the best city in the world.. Wow

My daughter just started there - so of course I love it. Beautiful classic university grounds with older stone buildings and wonderful landscape. Located right in the Bronx - go to Arthur Ave. - Oh the food...Mmmm - I would definitely gain my Frosh 15 (lbs. weight gain).

And , oh yeah , the university is an excellent Jesuit instituion.

Great open spaces and arboreal landscape. Campus is very safe and enjoyable to walk through.

As the slogan states, New York is your campus. The amount I learned in and outside of the class room has made me very happy that I chose this school.

Beautiful school and grounds. You can easily reach it via subway. The surrounding area is a bit "dated", but we felt safe walking from the subway to the lacrosse fields for a game.

The tuition is too expensive. They smile to you only when you pay your money.

Tremendous liberal arts education. Great school, beautiful location and the best college rugby program this side of the Mississippi. New York City's Jesuit university.

This location is adjacent to New York Botanical Gardens. The area is nicely maintained. There is also convenient free street parking, that many seek, when they have appointments to BRONX DMV COURT on Fordham Road.

Nice place to attend school as well as large are to move around. Including sports.

If you are a practicing Catholic and are considering this college, you should take a serious look at the campus atmosphere to make sure that your son or daughter will be able to attend and feel safe with being able to live and follow their religious beliefs.

I had swimming lessons at this place as a kid. I would recommend.

Came here for a basketball game, campus is beautiful. Really liked walking around there after the game. Everyone was very nice.

A great place for overall growth combined with strong alumni networking.

It saddens me because I loved my college experience here, but this university is corrupt and runs a fake facade of being "Jesuit". My husband and I worked for them in 2014 and were never paid, finally giving up after a year of calling and being given the runaround. We will never be donating to our alma mater. I also have been trying to track down lost loan refund checks for months and the financial aid office always cuts me off and transfers me several times until someone finally promises a "call back tomorrow"...I then wait to follow up again weeks later for the same thing to happen. Sadly, though my education was awesome and I am glad I was able to meet my husband and so many great friends here, I have a permanently tarnished view of this school. I warn any prospective students to stay far away.

A good school located in the most under-rated location in New York. School has great facilities and culture, and very safe. Little Italy is filled with stories and people. I spent all four years there, and I loved it

The best thing about the University is it's in New York City.

It's an amazing place to work at...the environment is peaceful and friendly...Fordham University doesn't feel like it's part of The Bronx....its unique and special..this is my sanctuary from the outside world..thanks Fordham.

I got my BA from Fordham in the 90s and though I'm a teacher and life-long student who has attended multiple schools including UCLA, Manhattan College, CUNY, SVA and NYU, I can say with no dubiety, that Fordham was by far the best experience that I've had at a school. In terms of the quality of the education I received, based on the environment and the respect commanded by my professors, Fordham is leaps ahead of these other schools. NYU and UCLA are vastly overrated due to location and various unfathomable reasons. It's no secret Fordham surpasses the other school's I've attended, but I am sad that it's not as known as it should be because it's a top-quality school. The Rose Hill campus is also much better than the Lincoln Center campus for undergraduates, but I suspect this will change now that that campus is expanding and modernizing.

It is a university where a man who is a fiancee of Ms. Riko and who has been chosen as "The Prince of the Sea" attends. I really can not forgive people who can not return 3 million yen to become royal!

One of the most exceptionally beautiful places in a city FULL of beautiful places, this vastly underrated university deserves your attention for an afternoon stroll, not to mention its rigorous and distinguished academic programs. Be sure to visit in the Fall when the leaves change.

The Fordham Campus is breathtaking. Beautiful Gothic buildings - reeking of history and decades of fame and acclaim. We attended a graduation and were very impressed by the stellar and eloquent President, Fr McShane .SJ. He is a power-house. Chatted with him post graduation - charming and funny. Yes, were were taken aback by the neighborhood...who isn't?

A real rip off of a school. You think you're matriculating just fine until it's time to graduate. Then they want to milk you for every dime you've got. Extra classes THAT YOU DO NOT NEED out the ass. But you better believe that they NEED you to pay for them. Students pay so much $$ for tuition to be crammed into dorms and deal with broken equipment. Enjoy your college years somewhere else.

It s a great school. The online program is great as well. Very fast when updated students and updated grades except for when completing field work, they take forever just to update the grade.
