It's amazing that a small town such as Yuma has such a great library system. Great job to all who have worked to have such a facility. The staff is always friendly and the selection is good. Nice place to bring kids . They have programs to encourage reading for both kids and adults . The children's section is good. Also they have programs for all ages and community rooms that can be used for meetings. A wealth of knowledge all in one place. A library card unlocks a world of possibilities. A safe friendly place to go... I just wish more people would realize that with that one small free plastic card you can concour the world. Parents bring your kids and show them the world a few one hour trips a month can change their future.

While it is easy to be bored with Yuma (and in particular the Foothills), the area has a wonderful library system. The staff is friendly and their budget for new materials must be amazing (film buffs will notice the near complete Criterion Collection).

Covid-19 time: They claimed there were too many people inside, but once I got inside, I saw few people. No line to the customer service desk. No one in the restroom. No one around an electrical outlet I wanted to use. Outside electrical outlets are padlocked.

I recently relocated to mystical land of The Foothills from a far off over-crowded megalopolis known to many as Orange County / LA / Riverside area. Whilst living among the malodorous throngs of creatures known as Southern Californians, I often found myself seeking solace in the repositories of knowledge - the libraries. Having been both a patron and a volunteer at several of these intellectually-stimulating edifices, I know my way around a card catalog. I dance around the Dewey Decimal System. I love libraries. I can't think of a library I have been in which rivals this branch. There is an unparalleled wealth of lore here. Tomes galore. And what's more - stargazing night, gaming day, and Dungeons & Dragons day! The last of which is skillfully headed up by dungeon master extroardinaire - Danny! I love this place, and living only a 30 minute walk away, I find myself here often. Look for me in the D&D room or casually perusing Vonnegut. I'll be there.
