Just wonderful.
Great to have seen the Picasso exhibition.
The small park around it invites you to linger. Perfect to end a museum experience.

The vote is not for the structures or to the collection, but for incompetence, malice and racism employee. They do not accept reservations (despite numerous emails sent by the organizers) for large groups, on the other hand it is permissible to treat them as human waste at the entrance of the museum.
Situation: Group of 50-60 children between designers and architects, all under 25 years old then, for the policies of the foundation, not paying. The cashier, visibly annoyed, requires 56 documents, you can print free tickets. Realizing the idiocy of that decision, it controls top ten and returns them all but 1; a passport. After several checks made by us poor students (on the ground and in the backpacks of other people), the unfortunate (she no longer passport) and her friend, kindly ask (in English), the cashier, to check if the passport is ended land in his office, giving the feel crazy and are sent away. They return with a girl who knows how to speak German, the same treatment. Without hope, the girls ask infopoint to call the authorities to report the lost passport; magically, after an exchange of telephone calls between employees, the document back to their rightful owner. Employees inform that was found in the middle of the garden of the foundation (yes, of course, as no). We hope it was just an oversight of the adorable secretary and not a childish gesture that flows into illegality. In all this, being non-paying visitors, we were invited to put the backpacks on our bus, while the rest of the visitors came into the exhibition areas with purses, handbags, backpacks and cameras. So, if you do not like that people, under 25 years enter for free; DO NOT DO IT! We would have gladly paid to visit the foundation, not treated as profiteers who enter for free because under 25 years old ...

The foundation is equal to itself, but the current exhibition - Edward Hopper - is quite disappointing: few works, an artist with a fairly uniform style throughout his life hence a little monotony. A little expensive for what it is, especially since parking is a hassle (expensive more and no park & ride) and that coming there by public transport while coming from far is nothing '' a sinecure (slow, expensive, inconvenient)

Great gallery. Phenomenal own collections (including Mondrian, Monet, Kandinsky, Chagall), interesting temporary exhibitions, an interesting building designed by Renzo Piano. All this makes it worth visiting the outskirts of Basel to see it all with your own eyes.

You can always find beautiful exhibitions there. Was on one of Picasso's and one of Hopper's. The atmosphere feels upscale, but you don't have to appear in the wreck
The staff is nice and polite. Always my pleasure. Staying there often feels like being in a place of education. It doesn't impose itself ... it's more like a discovery tour. I always find that exciting and exciting. I would love to come back

The Hopper exhibition is extremely worth seeing, and the organizers have found a good solution for the Corona situation. We like to visit this beautifully located museum again and again, because not only the exhibitions have been worthwhile every time, but we also like the place itself and its atmosphere enormously.

Very appealing architecture that provides an appropriate framework for the art on display. Some of the exhibition halls flow into the landscape, so to speak. The permanent exhibition impresses z. B. by surprising insights and the work of Monet and Picasso. I was privileged to see an Edward Hopper exhibition.

Nobody pays attention to compliance with the mask obligation inside the building! Bad Bad Bad experience. Why should anyone care if the employees wear their masks on their chins themselves ... no recommendation at these times!

We came to see the permanent exhibition and after paying and entering we discovered that it was closed. A disappointment. I did not put it anywhere except on a small paper on a Din4-size counter in the "part of the exhibition was closed until October 6". A fraud.

About Fondation Beyeler

Fondation Beyeler: A Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Riehen/Basel

Fondation Beyeler is a world-renowned museum of modern and contemporary art located in Riehen, a suburb of Basel, Switzerland. The museum was founded by Ernst Beyeler, a Swiss art dealer and collector, in 1997. Since then, it has become one of the most important cultural institutions in Europe.

The mission of Fondation Beyeler is to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience that combines art, nature, and architecture. The museum's collection includes works by some of the most famous artists of the 20th century such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne and many others.

One unique aspect of Fondation Beyeler is its location. The museum is situated on the edge of a forest park that provides visitors with stunning views over the surrounding landscape. This setting creates an atmosphere that encourages contemplation and reflection on both nature and art.

The architecture of Fondation Beyeler also plays an important role in creating this unique experience for visitors. Designed by Renzo Piano - one of the world's leading architects - the building itself is a work of art that seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings.

In addition to its permanent collection which features over 300 works from various periods including Impressionism to contemporary art movements such as Pop Art or Minimalism; Fondation Beyeler also hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year showcasing new artists or themes related to modern or contemporary arts.

Visitors can enjoy guided tours led by knowledgeable staff members who are passionate about sharing their love for art with others. There are also audio guides available for those who prefer self-guided tours.

For families with children there are special programs designed specifically for kids including workshops where they can create their own artworks inspired by what they see at Fondation Beyeler.
