Amazing pizza!!! Lots of vegan options and they have a GF crust available as well (it's smaller than their regular small though). Bummer they don't have liquor during off season but if you like pizza you'll love this place!
Nerdy theme is a bonus but you should go just for the amazing food

Yummy!

Great atmosphere! Had the Jon Snow and TARDIS cocktails and loved. Tried the Picard, would only recommend if you like gin. Mars attack pizza was fun! If you're into nerdy things this place is awesome!

Great pizza with a wide selection of local brew beers, as well as mixed drink concoctions. Try the Night Shift Whirlpool with a slice of pepperoni. The staff is very happy and personable making the stop well worth your time.

I was expecting New England pizza, i don't think one could call it that. It was thinly sliced and the meatballs weren't even sliced in the traditional way. The cooks should try cleaning the oven once in a while because there were little char bits that fell off on every slice. The bathrooms were also really gross. Pee on the seat and the sent if it in the air. All in all the pizza wasn't good and neither were the bathrooms. OH and the music was terrible. Absolutely obnoxious just sounded like loud noise.

this is bar none, the best pizza place I've ever been to. it can get pretty empty outside of the Salem summer/fall rush, but ever pizza combo I've ever tried here is fantastic and the atmosphere is amazing.the servers are always friendly and pretty quick too.

I'm not much of a pizza person, but the pizza here has me wanting to visit again. The pesto and goat cheese pizza was excellent.

I loved the atmosphere. It's quirky and fun, while also being cozy. The general theme alone makes this place worth a visit. My friends and I happened to visit during a particularly busy time, and the staff was nothing but pleasant and accommodating despite how hectic it must've been.

The only negative part of my visit was that they served tap water. If you're local and you drink tap water that's likely fine. I'm from Sweden though, and to me the tap water tastes and smells like poison. The ginger ale was nice though.

I suppose they might be able to serve bottled water should you explicitly request it. I didn't, so I've no way of knowing for sure.

Loved the pizza! We we're in town for a bit and got hungry so my family and I decided to stop in for some pizza! It was so good! I loved how many options they offered, plus the service was great! My drink never went empty! Next time I'm in Salem I will be back :)

Amazing pizza! Great, diverse selection, and the build your own option makes the possibilities endless. The staff is super friendly. I order pickup and my pizza was ready and hot after 25min. Can't wait to go back!

Vegan community beware! Although Flying Saucer Pizza Company offers a few vegan options they are 100% unwilling to modify an animal-based dish to make it vegan, even though my request only required a simple swap of cheese vegan cheese they supposedly had on hand. Don t waste your time or money here. It s not worth it!

This is my favorite place for a casual meal in Salem! I appreciate it's nerdy nods to sci-fi in both the decor and menu, and that it doesn't fall into the (sometimes overdone) witchy kitsch the rest of the downtown focuses on.

The beer dough is unbeatable, and they have gluten-free and vegetarian options so that it's always a crowd-pleaser. I always try to go with enough folks and a big enough appetite to split a classic pie along with one of their funkier options (Shepard's pie or buffalo mac & cheese on pizza? So good).

We walked into this establishment and it took us 10-15 minutes for our server to come around and take our drink order. Meanwhile, during that time we found out we weren't given a drink menu by our hostess so it was more than wasted. Once we finally, got our drinks we placed our food order in. They didn't have potatoes (being the hot commodity it is) so we had to change our order. While waiting to get our food we finished our drinks and it took him a LONG time to realize we needed some more drinks and between the time we placed the order and got it (1 HOUR), our waiter came over once. Maybe our waiter, was having a bad night because he had the persona of a video store clerk...and made no acknowledgement of the poor timing of everything. The pizza was good but for $24 for a large pie and $10 cocktails I think my money is spent better somewhere where service is actually a principle of the business.

WAY overpriced. Great pizza. Pricing is a bit off. Large half cheese half with toppings delivered was $30. That's outrageous. Less than a mile drive. Stick with pickup, or go to Bambolina.

Great pizza, great beer, terrible service. I've been here a few times, it is always slow. Not just slow to cook a pizza, I realize those things take time. Its often 10 minutes to get a cup of water. Even a beer takes 10 minutes to get after ordering. They also tend to be somewhat unresponsive to questions. That said, the food is phenomenal. I higly recommend the Picard. the decor is top notch.

They had alot of delicious and different pizza flavors and a good selection of beers and ciders. So based on that, 4 stars. They are INCREDIBLY strict on mask and party size because of COVID so just be aware before coming in.

I like Flying Saucer, they have interesting pizzas which are typically always great. One complaint is Grubhub/delivery, I will never order from Flying Saucer through them or have them deliver again. I paid almost $40 for a Nick Fury, which is my favorite there, and it came cold. Also the pizza was small compared to ones I've gotten there before. The pizza was $25 but they charged almost $14 in delivery fees and tip. If the portion sizes were larger and my pizza didn't come cold, I probably wouldn't mind the price but for what I got, I'm pretty disappointed. $25 is still a lot for a pizza but considering that their a premier shop in Salem, it doesn't surprise me they charge so much. Lower your delivery costs and I may order again!

Did a build your own pizza w/vegan mozz, vegan pesto base, vegan chkn, red onion, portobello mushrooms, garlic, and arugula. It was incredible! The crust was the best crust I've ever tasted on a pizza! My mom who isn't even vegan claimed it was one of the best pizzas she's ever had, and we know pizza! Drinks as well as atmosphere was very well done. I highly recommend if the other reviews haven't convinced you yet!

So many vegan pizza options, and a build your own option! We got the large Nick Fury and the Fire Flower (cauliflower "wings"). The pizza was HUGE, and was basically 2 meals for 2 people. On the other hand, the cauliflower appetizer was pretty small, and didn't feel worth $8. The pesto sauce was amazing and lemon-y though. The place has a great nerdy vibe and servers are friendly. Would definitely recommend, just know that it's a pricier pizza place!

food was great and they have all kinds of unique options. they have gluten free options which was great for my kids. the decor is fun and the staff was friendly. only reason I can't give 5 stars is because my wife ordered dessert and it took over 30 minutes for ice cream on a brownie. I thought that was kind of crazy especially with 3 kids waiting to leave after eating. I'm sure it was a fluke as everything else was great.

I had a slice of pepperoni. The pizza was fine, definitely nothing special. On the plus side, the service was fast and very friendly, and in keeping with the name, the restaurant is decked out in fun space kitsch.

Got a couple pizzas to go that were "out of this world." I'm fully aware of how lame that sounded. Don't care. The pizzas were surprisingly great considering everyone says not to eat pizza in Massachusetts.

They have great pizzas and awesome decor! The wait staff has always been nice (especially Melissa)! Sometimes they run out of some of the craft beer- but they have a big selection so there's always a new one to choose from! Love the slice of the day- it's great to be able to try new pizzas weekly! Overall a great downtown restaurant, with yummy food and drink with a delightful atmosphere.

I read the menu online; I was so excited that they had vegan items on the menu, as I am allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs, however upon telling my waitress (who was super nice and knowledgeable) told me there was milk and eggs in the dough called out as vegan. I am very disappointed. Ugh..

I didn't think it was possible to top the vegan pizza I made at home. Boy was I wrong, I am still dreaming about the Silurian and wondering how soon I can get back to Salem to have it again. The beer selection was good (I had a Blueberry Sour), service was great, and we also bought some art (Geordi) off the wall. Best day ever.

Highly don't recommend wasting your time here! What I thought was going to be a nice pizza dinner turned into an annoying night ruined. First of all none of the staff seemed like they wanted to do anything. They all seemed annoyed if they had to do anything. We weren't offered drink menus. Didnt even know you served alcohol tell like 20 minutes before we left. Secondly the wait for the food is awful. We waited 45 minutes just for the appetizer. And in that 45 minute time span we only saw our waitress one time. When she finally came back to bring us our appetizer she dumped marinara sauce all down my dress. And she honestly seemed like she didn't care. So I'm sorry I wasted my time here!
