The food is always delicious, fun drinks, and many options for different dietary needs. I make it a point to stop in every time I'm in town. Every inch of the restaurant is covered in fun, nerdy decor. You'll come for the food, stay for the art.

Yay!!

Great quirky sci-fi pizza joint with a creative menu of pizza and various beverages named after nerdy pop-culture references. We had the ny thin crust "vision" with awesome pesto and balsamic swirl. Looking forward to my next visit.

The veggie pizza "The Vision" was tasty, but gluten free pizzas too expensive and considering the 10" size they over charge for toppings. Overall the prices are high, the service while friendly (The waitress tried her best and was very friendly) but orders were wrong, the table next to us could not get cutlery due to an issue in the back, and we waited a while for the check and the eventual correction.

The food was delicious but I was more than a little disappointed that they refused to serve me (23) alcohol simply because my id was out of state, despite it being a perfectly valid id and having other forms of identification on me as well. We were visiting for Halloween from Maine and it definitely put a damper on the evening. Seemed quite silly. Had no problem being served anywhere else for the duration of the trip. I don t understand the logic of turning people away for simply being from another state, especially during a busy tourist season. Sat there and watched the same thing happen to various other unhappy people.

I wish they didn t use straws in their drinks unless you asked for them. So wasteful. The woman working was incredible busy and therefore forgetful about a few things. The vegan pizza is delicious. Additionally, I enjoyed the vegan garlic knots. Highly recommend if you are looking for some vegan food while in salem.

Great food, but pretty bad service :(. We were waiting for about 30 minutes before a server came, and they didnt seem to care at all. Maybe would get delivery in the future, but probably won't return to dine in.

I would not order again from this restaurant. I ordered online and the estimated time of delivery was 7:45 and by 8:15 I had not received my order. When I called they mentioned they were behind, but it would have been nice to have been notified. When I received my order of vegan pizza with carmelized onions and cheese, I expected it to be shredded and melted vegan cheese, but instead it was blobs of cheese on the pizza that looked and tasted like plastic. As a result I ended up eating the pizza and removing all the cheese. It was a waste of my time and money. If you want to see what real vegan pizza is supposed to look and taste like, check out Pizza & Sub Stop in Lowell!

Great food and an awesome drink selection. Awesome pizza with crust on the thinner side that s always just crispy enough. Amazing vegan options (nick fury is my favorite) that even my meat-eating friends enjoy. I will say that the portions of ingredients on pizza are often a little different every time I get a pizza (sometimes more or less cheese, chicken, etc.) but this has never really been an issue. Overall a great place!!!

What's better than a sci-fi themed pizza joint? Their pizza is unique and delicious and the craft beer selection is great, but the prices are steep. Service can be hit or miss depending on who you have. Monday night nerd trivia is a blast. They also do various craft beer promotional nights. Definitely something to check out for a slice and a beer if you're in Salem!

I have to give this place 5 stars because of their extensive vegetarian options. There's basically a vegetarian or vegan version of each pizza available, with vegan meatballs and vegan chicken to replace other meats. They always have an interesting special on the board as well. Another nice thing is that they are open until 11pm when most establishments in Salem have stopped serving food.

Our waitress Amanda was incredibly nice and made us feel right at home. Her suggestions for food were likewise bang on and we enjoyed spectacularly delicious pizza, desert and drinks. The decor is super nerdy and funky. Very sci fi. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Was unclear how seating worked, we finally got a seat and were given menus. 20 mins later, we still had no service, so we left. They really looked like they needed more servers. Would have given it one star, except they have a lucutus of Borg lifesize statue and a chalk drawing of Finn the human. Meh, was fun to see, but really wanted to try the pizza.

Great Scott! This is a hot spot for slices. Being a huge nerd I immediately fell in love the the theme of the shop. Staff was nice and the food was delicious. Absolute must visit if you're in town.

The pluses: Good location and a great nerdy decor.
The negatives: The pizza is at best "OK." Nothing special. I'll stick with Marblehead House of Pizza for my pies when I'm in Massachusetts.

We're from Boston. We were at Salem state visiting with our kids. We decided on Flying Saucer pizza for lunch because, unlike my husband and kids I am solely vegan and Flying Saucer had vegan options. The most delicious appetizer, roasted brussel sprouts with a side of balsamic glaze. Sooo good! Then I ordered my pizza off of the separate vegan ONLY menu, OMG most delicious pizza, even my caveman meat eating husband ate 4 pieces.
Then, the best for last is the vegan carrot cake! Ahhh so good. I couldn't stop eating. Great vibes, great food, only local beers. I can't wait for my next visit! Please please please don't hesitate to try this place of you love pizza. I am not a family member or friend of the owner writing this review, just a new life long customer.

I'm not the type to write bad reviews but this was absolutely terrible. We got a vegetarian attack on Mars pizza. It comes with mushrooms, peppers, chesse, and your choose of veggie meatballs or eggplant (we asked for eggplant). First time it came out it was with meatballs and chesse. That's it. They apologized and sent us over a new pizza (for free which was cool). The next one had the eggplant but none of the toppings. We decided to not even try to get another one and leave but before we left they took everyone else check in our party (we had a party of 3) besides ours...called the waitress over to take our check and she just says, "your waiter would of taken this..." when he already walked away with everyone's payment but ours....not worth the $15 for a SMALL pizza that was messed up both times.

Love the pizza, our favorite is the Pepperoni with the beer batter crust.
They have a new ordering system from Toast which is horrible and really hard to navigate the menu and makes ordering painful. The pizza is worth the pain though.

Service is veeeerrrrrry important. Other reviewer said like this " i did not feel welcomed " u know what. No matter how delicious food tastes, If the service is bad, I don't want to go back twice. Keep in mind that service is important. We are customers. Please~~ improve ur service. Saying " everything attitude is smile.......welcome"

Best pizza in Salem, and some of the best pizza I've ever had. The pies are creative and delicious. There are a plethora of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, too. The decor is fun and quirky and the drinks delicious. Definitely get the beer infused dough!!

Not many places out there that have options for a carnivore and a herbivore all in the same place. Plus if you're on a bad date the bathroom is connected to another restaurant so you can just slip right out!

As a vegan, I had not had pizza in a long time. Flying saucer has so many options, all different toppings, for not just vegans but gluten free too! Plenty of good beer on tap as well. The staff are always sweet and talkative, making sure your experience is a positive one. I couldn t recommend this place enough! If they re too busy for you to sit, take a pizza to go and head to the wharf. It s worth it.

Great pizza (superb crust) and great atmosphere. A sci-fi/fantasy geek's dream come true. I didn't have a beer but was impressed by the selection.
Really fun restaurant that seems to be well known and loved by locals.

Walked in for the smell of pizza and absolutely fell in love with the place. Nerdy decor, nerdy tv in the background, best waitress (LJ) and delicious food and drink. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in town now.

Amazing pizzas of all kinds, but I've never had a good experience with the service evergthing from dirty plates (more than once), to hour-long waits for our food to come out, to rude servers, to non-existent servers. It's such a bummer because the food is so good and so is the atmoshere, but for the high prices, the service usually makes it not as worth it.

Cute restaurant in the heart of Salem center. Awesome beer selection and bartender gave great service! Also the beer battered pizza crust was awesome. Very fluffy and fresh. Would recommend!

My bestfriend and I wokeup with food poisoning. Took 40 mins to get our food and 15 to get out of there lastnight. My other friend found a hair in his food. Suggest that you take your money elsewhere this place is a whole lot of nothing. The "Silurian" vegan pizza made both of us horribly sick. Our receipt at the end was so confusing nothing was voided off not even the pizza the waitress said she was gonna take off. What a disgusting place. Save your money!

Once you've been to Salem once, you rarely have a reason to go back with the exception of a festival or special event. Flying Saucer Pizza is my reason for going back to Salem as often as I possibly can. Fast service, great choices, and a fun atmosphere are what you can expect from this location.
