Virtual School is good but they need to work on their teachers and there courses. For instance PE. All students gonna do is lie about them doing it. One of the lessons they want students to go on a diet. No one is gonna be doing that diet thing. Understandable you want students to be fit and healthy, but you are making students self-conscious and students will end up deciding weather or not they want to change there appearance or health on their own. There are teachers who are lazy and not willing to put in the work to make sure there students succeed. I have a teacher that never decided to check up on me when I was behind and the DBA's I have to join a zoom call with other students instead of one on one. Also instead of saying you can work on your own pace say that you have a flexible schedule, because you are giving students the expectation they can just do one assignment a week. Stop giving a job to anyone and fix the courses where students will actually do it and learn something from it.

Everybody seems to hate FLVS, but honestly, it was kind of my savior. Before you stop reading this because of the Cliche of it saving another person's world, read it. Okay, so if you are an Honors Student in Middle School, you may want to take Algebra 2 Honors. The problem is: Your school doesn't offer you that class. Then FLVS comes in and gives you all kinds of Advanced Classes. This is pretty much what happened to me. Now I know I have a future ahead of me ;).

Ive really liked it so far. Im in 7th grade and it isn't as difficult as most of the other reviews are saying. ALL of my teachers respond to my messages within 24 hours and ALL of my teachers are very friendly and helpful. I am still giving it a 4 stars though because the "work at your own pace" thing is a complete lie. There are pace charts you have to follow. I don't mind it because I am able to get all of my work done but, it is still a lie.

First things first. I like FLVS! It helped my when my grades were D s and F s in public school. Then when I joined, I got straight A s. The one thing that concerns me is...Why do teachers say 60% is passing! A 70% is average, 60% is below average. I m not trying to hate. All my teachers are nice and all, but I hate it when they say 60% is PASSING! D s won't get you to college. The teachers love to help you out, but they all leave at 4:35 I get they have their own lives but what if you need help.

I really love FLVS. I have taken Driver's Ed and HOPE so far, both courses with amazing teachers. At the moment, I am taking Algebra 2 and I'm surprise by how much it covers and how much it explains how to do problems. The teachers are kind and easy-going, also incredibly supportive when they try/get you back on track if you slack off for a period. Most of the assignments I've encountered are easy, it's just the notes that take awhile to read over and understand. The small tests are quick and easy but they do count the pretests for a small grade which is my only complaint: why grade us on something we're not suppose to know?

I've been an FLVS student for about two years now. I'm assigned to 5 classes, which for me is 16 assignments for me a week. Honestly, I'm not complaining. I actually love FLVS! I would only recommend taking FLVS if you are extremely motivated to do your work. Yes, it can get a bit overwhelming sometimes, but aren't all schools overwhelming? I love being able to do my school work any time of the day Monday-Sunday! It saves a lot of stress for me personally. I'm able to catch up on sleep, have a social life and be happy all at same time. Most of all my teachers I have had, have been incredibly kind to me. If you don't like your teacher, you can just call their principal and switch! If your teacher calls you all the time, to remind you to do your work, that's just their job, chill! Anyway, FLVS is NOT as bad as people make it out to be! It takes time to get used to! Just stay organized, motivated and always remain positive. :)

FLVS is good if you have a little more than basic knowledge on the topic you re learning about. The learning resources never really helped me, but the teachers and live sessions are great. I believe FLVS is a great program if you do it with a tutor. I have now completed algebra 1, and 2 through this website and I m only in 8th grade. The biggest positive aspect of the website is the flexibility. I finished a course that usually take one year in 3 months. FLVS is great but only works for certain people. You have to already be good at online schools. 4 stars is a fair rating in my opinion.

As a student, I enjoyed my experience with flvs. It was stressful and hard at first, like anything new, but thanks to my parents and teachers I learned to suck it up and do it. I never did all my subjects online, but throughout a couple years I took reading, life management, and drivers ed. (I recommend the drivers ed course, it's super easy and saves you from the long drug and alcohol test!) After dual enrolling for three years though, the math class I'm taking now is a piece of cake. Virtual school is so flexible, if you have a busy week and don't complete the suggested three assignments, it's not the end of the world. Worst case scenario the teacher calls and checks on you. I defiantly would recommend flvs for a student who can work well on their own.

Nice teachers. Good course layouts. I am a part time student who has taken HOPE, Driver's Ed, Algebra 2 Honors, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Language & Composition, AP Government, and AP Psychology on FLVS and intend on taking more courses with FLVS for my Senior year. I have had a good experience through all of my classes, and would recommend students to take all of the classes I have with FLVS. My only advice is that if you take a FLVS class, make sure you have the time and will to dedicate hours towards your class(es) each week. Good luck!

I mean when I first started I was withdrawn after trying to get an early start on my high school course. But after a while I got used to the website format. Some teachers are kind and understanding. A con is that some teachers will not reply to any form of communication and will withdrawal from the course even though you obviously tried to contact them. But when the instructors do contact you and you are working hard in the course it does go a little smoother.

I started FLVS in the summer after I finished 5th. At first it was excellent I was able to do a module in one day. But later I started getting lazy and soon at the end of the year I had to take a out of country trip in 5 days and I still had about 9 modules. So then I killed myself with stress trying to do these assignments and on the last night I worked until 5 am in the morning and I got done. Now I started 7th and I'm starting to like it more. All my teachers are very helpful even though sometimes I get annoyed because they don't pick up calls but remember each of these teachers have at least 35+ students so it's obviously hard for them to keep track, but still they do a good job. This is going to be a great year. -Phares Khan

For some reason, one of the teachers asked for my phone number to help with studies and then upon giving it to him, he asked for my address. He said that he'll help me do classwork , and because of how stressful FLVS is, I agreed. He didn't want to come in and told me to tell my parents I would be back and then get in his car. He quickly drove to his home, and offered me lemonade; which looked more like sprite to me considering it was very sparkly and had a pill (the pill was for flavor, which is what he assured me). I woke up the next day laying on a lumpy mattress in his basement, and he woke me up wearing underwear and walked me out. He told me that I passed out due to stress and recommended I talk to someone regarding my stress issue. I told my parents I stayed over at a friend's house and fell asleep, to which they assured me that I had no stress issue ,but after passing out , I didn't believe them. I am here to report that the school is very stressful and I am wondering what I can do regarding my stress problem.

The majority of bad reviews are due to lack of understanding. FLVS should better educate new students on how to use the system. I personally don't have issues with it. My only problem is DBA's. They're time wasting and useless. It takes 2-5 days to schedule a DBA and complete it. Meanwhile, you're not allowed to work ahead so you're stuck getting behind in the course. Usually, the DBA consists of less than 5 questions. Completely wasted week when it is time to do them.

Here is a detailed honest review about FLVS Flex: If you want to enroll your child as a full time homeschooler, say hello to FLVS Flex! In my opinion, this program is much better than the full time homeschool program, because you are able to design your classes to your needs and schedule. Also, FLVS Full Time issues a diploma because they are an online PUBLIC school, but FLVS Flex DOES NOT. issue you a diploma, because you are working on your own time and considered a homeschool student where your parent s your counselor. This means that your parent will have to say that you have completed high school since they are your counselor. But you don't have to get your GED or do an alternative graduation assignment, and graduating as a homeschool student is still valid for college, you won't have any problem getting accepted as homeschool, public school, and private school are all means of legal education in the U.S, which is really cool. Also, classes are designed very well, easy to navigate. You just have to be self-disciplined when it comes to homeschool. 3 assignment submissions per week is the MINIMUM which is really fair. DBAs aren't actually that bad, so long as you take notes and actually take the course. Also, if you consider yourself an honors student, beware because the honors pace, assignments, and expectations are for more difficult than regular classes, even though you're learning the same material. I'd recommend regular classes fr everything- same material, less stress, keeps you focused so you LEARN instead of rushing through to FINISH. The only problem that I've faced is lack of direction. Although you can email your teachers if you have a question, it's hard when you have to navigate through an assignment by yourself, and you have to figure out what they're asking for. Also, pretests at the beginning of lessons are annoying because they're an actual test grade, and it's all about stuff you don't know. But eventually it'll be balanced out if you do well on all of your other assignments, but it still brings your grade down. I would definitely create your own PERSONAL pace chart for week by week. Social studies classes come with note taking guides and are very helpful, but classes like English and math, well, you're on your own for that, which makes it really hard to retain information. I'd recommend note taking guides on ALL classes to guide students through lessons to help them pick out important versus non-important info.

Overall, I feel this school does a decent job of supplementing the public and private education system. Make sure it fits the educational needs of the student, as it's not for everyone. To start off, the support staff generally do a good job of answering questions accurately and resolving issues. For example. Public school counselor told my child he was not able to take Algebra II in 8th grade until after completing geometry. FLVS told my child he was eligible, but could not open the course to him until his school counselor approved it. Florida Department of Education course guidelines confirmed FLVS was correct. No one at his school would take the time to read FLDOE guidelines. I had to plead my case to the school district superintendent's office, providing copy of state guidelines, to get the school to follow state department of education course guidelines and authorize the course. The public education system puts children into a track, and will not deviate from it to provide access to accelerated options, they seem to only deviate if a child is failing. Overall, the courses have been considerably easier than those offer at school. Less homework. Opportunity to achieve higher test scores and higher course grades. In classes which have no relevance to real life, and only fulfill the need to meet state guidelines and keep teachers employed, FLVS is an excellent choice to get those classes easily out of the way. You will not get much one on one time with instructors, so the student really needs ability to pace themselves and figure out material themselves. My son has taken several courses through FLVS, and will take more in the future, as it suits his learning style. Even though my daughter is in same accelerated course track as my son with same 4.0 GPA, she has taken no FLVS courses, because she is not able to learn and process info same as him. Success or failure with FLVS depends on parent successfully determining if it fits their particular child. The teachers have all been nice, but their availability and ability to explain or expand upon course material is limited. We've found some teachers will not provide time of day once you complete their review. We had incident where teacher needed to submit material to the state and did not do so. We contacted teacher after completing her review, she basically said "Too bad, take care of it yourself." Fortunately, FLVS support was very attentive to getting the issue resolved. Overall, FLVS is a good supplement to public or private education in certain areas to fill specific needs. The courses at FLVS meet state guidelines requirements for progression and graduation. I would not recommend it to replace important courses offered at traditional schools, unless your goal is to get requirements for graduation out the way which cannot be achieved elsewhere, and where quality of education is a secondary factor. FLVS fills need if used wisely.

Ok. So. There are some pretty mixed reviews here about FLVS- some unhelpful, some informational, some people just venting . . . I will try to be as matter of fact as possible. Personally, I have had a fairly good experience with FLVS. I have just completed my second year as an FLVS Flex student, taking two classes a semester. There have been some flubs in the coded system itself, and I find their grading system to be slightly -interesting-, but I have been blessed with very encouraging, hard working, enthusiastic teachers. If you are contemplating taking Latin on FLVS, I will tell you right now that I have had five different teachers from the Latin department, and they were all SUPER nice. I am a hard worker and maintained a pretty steady A throughout the course, but I am pretty confident that they were all great teachers. I have had only two Spanish teachers, and they were great as well. That being said, compared to other people I am fairly inexperienced with FLVS, and I can easily see how taking 5 classes at once could be too much. I did find some of the longer assignments in both my Latin and Spanish courses to be very time consuming and not very helpful in actually learning the language- in other words, there was a lot of busy work. It is also, unfortunately, very easy to cheat on quizzes, worksheets, etc. If you are not self driven, willing to work and learn, or the type of person who can learn by reading and taking notes, this might not be your favorite thing. Of course, trying new ways of learning is always good, but you must not overestimate yourself. I have also heard stories of teachers going MIA, and not returning calls or emails, or adjusting deadlines to suit themselves. I have a lot of friends who have been using FLVS for years and years, and they definitely have mixed feelings.

I have 2 children, so far, who have taken classes with FLVS as homeschoolers. My oldest son has used FLVS for almost 5 years; he started in middle school. He moved on to be a high school, homeschooler, with a full-time class schedule. While we have had a few annoying problems with teachers, etc., our overall experience has been great. In fact, I have another child entering FLVS in a few weeks. My oldest is off to college, weighted GPA of well above 4.0 and an actual GPA of 3.8. He qualified for early admittance to college and FLVS is credited with their excellent preparation. Before you think it's just because FLVS is easy, my son just took his AP Calculus exam last May and got a 4. He was definitely prepared. Of course, online classes aren't for everyone. You need to be self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile. Presenting the material is only part of learning, the other half is the student's involvement and willingness to do what they need to do.

It all depends on what you take. If you take elective credits, GREAT they are better than sticking in a class for half a year for something that doesn't really matter. You MUST like writing, a lot of questions are written responses that take a long time. Teachers vary, I like the happy ones, usually they leave you alone unless your behind a week or two. I have gotten a few passive aggressive remarks, but I do like to keep in mind I'm sure these teachers have bigger problems than you at the moment. I recommend it, though, be careful what you take. EDIT: Five Months Later Update. To fill you in at full depth you start off with a login process which is tedious, but then you finally get in your courses "dashboard." Anyways, there are countless hour consuming assignments you can spend hours on, BUT there are always great alternatives to them. Instead of completing an entire lab form by yourself, you can complete the lab with an entire collective team of students and get it done in a nice hour and a half. Except, instead of watching all these pointless Khan Academy videos that usually confuse you, you have a teacher right there with you to answer questions. Although live lessons are at the worst times possible 3pm, 7pm, etc, they can save you so much work and help you learn. Its like being at a dinner table with your teacher. Everything is laid out in front of you and you can interrupt, ask questions, or make a soft hearted joke whenever you please. Its a pleasant way to be social in a classroom without actually talking. The chatroom to text the teacher is pure genius. She can get to your question without you having to raise your hand like a fool. Overall, there are definitely some courses you should prepare your typing fingers for, especially English, but I highly recommend math and science if you USE the resources. Otherwise you are going to fall behind and hate FLVS. Just plan your courses accordingly and make sure your not biting off more than you can chew. :)

I do not understand the stress comments. FLVS eliminates stress by allowing work to be done at your own pace and from anywhere. My 8th grader has learned more this year than the last 3 combined. By working independently he is much less distracted. Grades are received quickly which allows him to stay motivated. DBA's are a breeze with all of the study guides provided. If you cannot succeed in FLVS, traditional school will be a nightmare.

OK, this is gonna be a very honest review here. I think that this is actually a pretty good alternative, if you have the guts. When you see reviewers of this that have given it a bad score are mainly because they couldn't handle the work. This is less work than regular school no doubt, but the work is all within your hands. So if you don't get things done, that is completely on you. I have been using FLVS for about 5 months and I actually doing full time virtual school, but I feel that the average Joe will have trouble at first with FLVS like I did. I had the idea in my head to kind of laze around a little bit and I got bit in the ass for it, and that is my fault, but frankly I still don't regret my decision to go full time. I of course work harder now and I am on a plan to finish 9th grade by winter, and that is possible. This is really a collage simulator in a lot of ways since you need to be on top of your work at all times. You have to submit only 3 assignments a week in each class, which really isn't too hard because you can easily set up a basic plan were on certain days you only work on certain classes and get the work done each week very fast and easy. I just think that this is a system that is ahead of it's time and people are probably not determined enough to get things done or to find a system in which they get things done. If you are a person that can handle yourself and get things done in a timely fashion, and if regular school is really too slow and restricted, this is for you. If you struggle to make c's or b's in a regular school, stray away because you will get slammed and mess up somewhere early in the line. This really separates the men form the boys, and I think that's a good thing.

He really enjoyed it and he advanced personal skills like self motivation and organization. Putting himself forward to organize his time and teacher feedback. Leaving messages for the teachers when he finished an assignment etc. It was a wonderful experience and prepared him well for advanced algebra in 7th grade. Oh since he didn't skip 6th grade advanced math, he was better prepared than many others in the class! We are now looking into Spanish 1 over the summer because the classroom experience has not been very positive this year.

A good alternative to in person public school. Material is presented in slides mostly and fairly dry, and you can elect to attend about one live lesson in each class each week. Good for self directed or gifted students who don t want to spend an entire class on one concept. Teachers are very communicative and so far all kind (a contrast to regular school experience). It s been a good fit for us for a temporary period when we wanted to make sure there wouldn t be any gaps when he returned to in person school. Allows more time for other activities.

FLVS is a good school. If you didn't have a good experience, it wasn't the school's fault or your fault, most likely you just couldn't handle FLVS or just aren't cut out for the type of work and rules here. Every individual learns and deals with things different, so yeah, some of you had horrible experiences with this school, others, such as myself, have had a wonderful experience with the school. The school tries its hardest to please each of its students. Only thing I can say about it is that some classes they offer may not be available when you need it, other than that, they are awesome and the teachers and staff are awesome also!

I've been working as a FLVS Full Time student since January and I've found many pros and a few cons in the program. Pros: I can work from home (which is AMAZING!), I don't have to be awake at any specific time. I sleep in until 8:30-9 every morning whereas in public school I had to get up at 6. The teachers are nicer than at public school. They email you reminders, never yell at you for no reason and they all wished me happy birthday. Live lessons (basically what it sounds like, but very very helpful). Pace. You don't have to do a certain amount of work any specific day so if I'm feeling super lazy or I'm busy on Monday and Friday I won't do any work those days but I'll just make sure to catch up Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Cons: DBA's. (basically where you call your teacher for a 10 minute discussion about your progress for the month) They're not that bad depending on the teacher I know some of mine give you DBA study guides so that helps a lot but for some you have no idea what to do so that stinks. Collaborations (where you work with other kids on assignments over the computer) I hate these because some people don't want to put in effort and they make you do all the work and take all the credit. I don't see why it's necessary at all because we're not even seeing each other either it's literally over the computer. As for the actual work, I find it challenging because I feel like the teachers move kind of fast and they don't quiz you on what you learned sometimes. But it is up to par with FL education standards so I don't know if FLVS controls that or the state does. So yeah, those are my feelings on FLVS. Overall I really enjoy it :)

Nice school but you should let us pick when we sign up like it should have a option for "1 month works of homework" or "one years worth of homework" something like that so i think it would be great if you did that :)

Great curriculum and, when the student has questions, online tutoring sessions are available. With a very few exceptions-of course there is no such a thing as the perfect school, so I find that the teachers are well qualified. They work hard and are available from am to 8 pm in most cases with the Flex Program. Website easy to navigate. Some tests have more than one correct answer and some assignments are lengthy with no much point... My son has been doing it for 2 years and he is currently in 6th grade(FLEX). For the most part, he really likes it and for the most part, I recommend FLVS-Flex Program.

I have been attending FLVS for 3 years. I am now a senior and my experience has been excellent. The teachers I've had were very patient. When I would accidentally fall behind a few assignments, they gave me plenty of gentle reminders to turn in work. They are very flexible with turning in assignments. I had a family emergency and traveled out of the country. I couldn't access my laptop for a week. I notified all of my teachers, and there were no issues. I only had to submit an assignment for each of my courses before leaving. When I returned, I simply had to get back on pace--like nothing happened. Pros The teachers, counselors, and staff are respectful and accommodating. Flexible schedule ( turn in assignments at anytime ) Pace chart Teachers respond to emails or texts in an hour or less. DBAs ( Discussion based assessments) are quick and easy to set-up. Cons The website itself has a bit of a learning curve to navigate through. Website goes down for maintenance ( rarely occurs ) Some lessons required me to do the majority of the teaching by watching youtube videos, quick google searches, etc.

i have been in flvs for two weeks now, and i think it is great, even though i am behind a little, the only reason i am is because i slack off alot, lol ;), but the teachers are aweome!!! they wont just give you a bad grade on a test, the techers let you retake the test, some three times, and others unlimited, they also write you back telling you what you did wrong on some quetions, and on others, how amazing you did them, i reccommend flvsto anyone diciplined enough to not slack off

I began this school year in a regular public school, Gulf Breeze Middle School in Gulf Breeze FL. After the first 9 weeks it was clear it wasn't working for me. Considering the bureaucracy, large classroom sizes and the growing lack of teachers that are truly interested in the students education. My parents and I decided to take a different approach. My mom called several different home schooling options until we finally decided on FLVS. Enrolling was super easy. There is someone that walks you through every single step. Like I said earlier, I signed up 9 weeks after school started but it was fine. The program starts when you start. So, I wasn't behind. As long as you stay on pace (which there are different option to choose from) you are fine. Regarding the reviews that are complaining about the workload and falling behind, well.... that's not the schools fault. You are responsible for doing the work and turning it in on time. I am currently enrolled in 4 courses at a traditional pace (32 weeks). This is considered to be a full load. I turn in about 3 assignments a day. My school day is usually from 8 to 2 Monday through Thursday. However there are some days that may be shorter or longer. Right now, I am scheduled to finish May 22 which is 3 weeks before I would have finished at Gulf Breeze Middle School. I have gone from making C's to straight A's. Not because the work is easier but because I can work at my own pace. I have 4 great instructors that I have never had a problem getting in touch with. I am able to text them for simple questions about an assignments. I've never waited more than a few hours for a text back. I always set up my DBA's (oral exam) through text first which like I said my instructors get back with me within hours. The most I've waited for a DBA was the next morning when my instructor had available time. I gave the school 4 out of 5 stars because it takes a few weeks to get use to the website and some of the required activities. Like the collaborations in the live lessons. I found these to be confusing at first. However, the instructor was nice about how nervous I was and quickly put me at ease. By the 2nd or 3rd live lesson you know what's going on. I truly feel that the instructors I have with FLVS are great but this school is for students that are willing to do the work for themselves and not rely on a teacher to tell you to do the work. If you procrastinate this may not be the school for you. If you are willing to do your work on time and not be lazy, FLVS is a great school. I hope this review helped give you a true understanding of this program.

This is my second year taking FLVS and at first I hated it so much. The workload was way too much and I didnt know all the tools the site had to offer. After working through it and just getting by, I learned that the teachers are very nice and are trying to help you. So far, I've had a pretty good experience with FLVS.

It has been an incredible experience to do my assignments online, when I want to, how I want to, and even if I feel like doing them on certain days. I admire the lack of lectures and some teachers who just want to hear themselves talk. It is way better than in a classroom in my opinion, that's for darn sure.

It is a pretty good experience, all the teachers are great and respond to your question almost immediately. The only complaint is I am taking a few classes and all are different formats. The lesson button only works on 2 of my classes. Beside the difference in user interface everything is wonderful.

I can't speak for every class, but AP Statistics has been a reasonably good experience so far. I'm taking 6 AP classes in high school including this one, and, while I am busy, it is far from cripplingly so. The overall rating may appear low, but keep in mind how a lot of these reviews aren't exactly the most serious. That's not to say it won't necessarily be somewhat stressful. All tough classes should be. But if you are self-motivated, care about your grade, and have immediate access to a good computer, I'd certainly think you would be able to handle the average virtual school class. From what I've heard, our in school statistics class does not go far enough in-depth, but here I can definitely say I am learning new things. I definitely think the school should be an option for most students.

I thought that it was just a little mistake.so i just rested my password and got a new one from gmail to enter in. And little do I know that didn't work either. So during that time i was just trying again . i resetting about by password 2 times. And still not logging in. then i decided to think that if i was withdrawn. am i withdrawn? because i didn't get nothing saying that i was.

Yes, FLVS courses are difficult. You've got your work cut out for you. But if you're behind in a course its completely your fault. Although sometimes teachers are too busy and sometimes that may be reasoning for why your behind. But overall its because your lazy. FLVS gives you many opportunities to get ahead in your work you just have to put fourth all effort. Self motivation is key in this situation. So, if you lack motivation or are just lazy overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Most of the teachers at my sons have had are great but then there's teachers that take forever to grade just to hold my child back or don't even respond to emails or not very understanding of my child having a 504. I do like this because my children get done with the subject faster than if they were in school.

If you have little kids close in age don't do it it's too much work per child and they don't combined lessons. If your child is older or spaced out in age it's more do able. I prefer parents to have a laptop because you would get depressed being home all day. Not very resourceful if your child has a learning disability they just think you're not trying hard enough.

I am definitely a fan of FLVS! It helps students get ahead outside the classroom, while also earning some credit towards GPA. The teachers are mostly available and the workload is challenging, but if you are willing to work hard and be independent, it proves very rewarding. Just know, it's not for everyone.

i like flvs since i dont have to wake up early every morning but the whole work at your own pace is kinda true but kinda not it all depends on the teacher if they are strict or not. But their are some amazing teachers that really want to help you and give you an easier option for things. But the collaboration project i thought you can do that anytime during the semester not on a certain week and i got yelled at by only one teacher that is really strict and mean.

I am a 8th grade student at FLVS, FLVS is a great experience if you are self motivated, but it is not so great if you are not motivated. Also, teachers make a great difference in the quality of the course. I have had a couple of bad teachers, but mostly good. Just like with anything new, you must try it out for yourself and see if it works for you. ~ Luke Anderson

This school is GREAT for me because you can have YOUR OWN schedule, and I am really busy, as I am working hard to become an olympic level figure skater! It takes so much stress away from me and gives me time to do more of what I love! There are some kinks to it, and it is a little hard to navigate sometimes. I do enjoy it, though!

I have only taken two classes, but both times, the teachers were amazing. I really enjoyed Algebra 2, but I was not a huge fan of all the writing in AP art. The course material is not boring, and it is much quicker than regular schooling. Overall, I think FLVS is pretty good.

I enrolled my children in this school last year and were bless to have a science Teacher Ms Clrissa Grossman by name, truly an awesome teacher she is there to help the children to succeed. Her language arts Teacher is kinda ok .I also just enrolled her back in math, after she was dropped because we didn't have a welcome call that upsets me to the core.So I now have a new math Teacher mr Simpo who seems really nice and understanding,he too seem to have the children's interest at heart. How can I forget Mr Benedict the 6 th grade civics teacher seems to be awesome as well. ,it's a wait and see period.Mrs Merchant is also an awesome 5 th grade teacher always checking in.But the thing I hate the most they are quick to drop students or withdraw them from courses or withdrawal from the school.if I was to grade this school I would give it a C for effort.

There is a lot of good things about FLVS, the unfortunate part is that there is plenty of bad things to go with those good things. One thing I really like is the pace of the courses. It is extremely concerning to me that kids here are giving you all one star because they ''only'' had a week to turn in four assignments (seriously, if you cant do four assignments in seven days you need to manage your time better.) With that good thing, however, comes a con. Most teachers have a tendency to be overbearing in terms of falling behind. For example, I once emailed a teacher that I would be on vacation for a week, completed 9 assignments in advance the week before the vacation, but when I came back home and checked my FLVS email, My teacher was threatening me that I would be dropped from the course. Obviously it amounted to nothing more, but it was still a frustrating thing. In terms of the physical layout of the site, I have no complaints. Everything, on pc and mobile, is easy to get to from any page. Great job on that. In terms of teachers, personally, I have no complaints... In my friend's cases... not so much. I have taken Personal Fitness, Critical Thinking, and currently Spanish 2 with FLVS, and have had amazing teachers for each. Some of friends, however, have taken core classes (Mainly Science and Maths) and they complained about those courses just about everyday. I have a theory that the elective teachers are great, but the quality drops off in core class teachers. My most recent experience with FLVS (Spanish 2) has been great! Mrs. Giordano is an amazing teacher. My only complaint is the way the modules are so repetitive- in each you learn about a spanish country, and learn vocab associated with said country. Other than that, everything has been good. Thanks for taking the time to read!

I have been at FLVS for 3 years because of my dance schedule. My current teachers are Ms. DeBlois, Ms. Vodre, Ms. Haid, Ms. Morosky, and Ms. Ariatti who have to be angels from heaven! They have over 100 students and yet they make sure everyone understands and they always respond quickly to your questions/texts/concerns. I did have a disappointing experience in my 1st attending this school with one of my teachers, however this year and the previous year was great! My favorite teachers have to be Ms. Ludlow (last year) and Ms. DeBlois (this year). There are so much homework to do which is frustrating however my current teachers are doing a great job making it as easy as possible! Only one thing, I requested to be in spanish and photography electives this year and I wasn't able to be in any of them which was a bit of a turn off. Overall, pretty good school especially if you prefer online school or if you have a crazy schedule.

It's a really good place to do some things for extra credits for school. Either kids are lazy or they just want to put you guys out of business because they hate school. I took keyboarding and critical thinking and the teachers were really nice! They talked really full of energy and were ready to help you! The courses were easy and the final exam was also easy and covered everything you learned. I gave 4 stars due to some parts of the pages having formatting issues such as when posting in the discussion group but other than that, this is a really nice educational place!
