Clean Bleach Review of FLVS

I began this school year in a regular public school, Gulf Breeze Middle School in Gulf Breeze FL. After the first 9 weeks it was clear it wasn't working for me. Considering the bureaucracy, large classroom sizes and the growing lack of teachers that are truly interested in the students education. My parents and I decided to take a different approach. My mom called several different home schooling options until we finally decided on FLVS. Enrolling was super easy. There is someone that walks you through every single step. Like I said earlier, I signed up 9 weeks after school started but it was fine. The program starts when you start. So, I wasn't behind. As long as you stay on pace (which there are different option to choose from) you are fine. Regarding the reviews that are complaining about the workload and falling behind, well.... that's not the schools fault. You are responsible for doing the work and turning it in on time. I am currently enrolled in 4 courses at a traditional pace (32 weeks). This is considered to be a full load. I turn in about 3 assignments a day. My school day is usually from 8 to 2 Monday through Thursday. However there are some days that may be shorter or longer. Right now, I am scheduled to finish May 22 which is 3 weeks before I would have finished at Gulf Breeze Middle School. I have gone from making C's to straight A's. Not because the work is easier but because I can work at my own pace. I have 4 great instructors that I have never had a problem getting in touch with. I am able to text them for simple questions about an assignments. I've never waited more than a few hours for a text back. I always set up my DBA's (oral exam) through text first which like I said my instructors get back with me within hours. The most I've waited for a DBA was the next morning when my instructor had available time. I gave the school 4 out of 5 stars because it takes a few weeks to get use to the website and some of the required activities. Like the collaborations in the live lessons. I found these to be confusing at first. However, the instructor was nice about how nervous I was and quickly put me at ease. By the 2nd or 3rd live lesson you know what's going on. I truly feel that the instructors I have with FLVS are great but this school is for students that are willing to do the work for themselves and not rely on a teacher to tell you to do the work. If you procrastinate this may not be the school for you. If you are willing to do your work on time and not be lazy, FLVS is a great school. I hope this review helped give you a true understanding of this program.
