I have 2 children, so far, who have taken classes with FLVS as homeschoolers. My oldest son has used FLVS for almost 5 years; he started in middle school. He moved on to be a high school, homeschooler, with a full-time class schedule. While we have had a few annoying problems with teachers, etc., our overall experience has been great. In fact, I have another child entering FLVS in a few weeks. My oldest is off to college, weighted GPA of well above 4.0 and an actual GPA of 3.8. He qualified for early admittance to college and FLVS is credited with their excellent preparation. Before you think it's just because FLVS is easy, my son just took his AP Calculus exam last May and got a 4. He was definitely prepared. Of course, online classes aren't for everyone. You need to be self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile. Presenting the material is only part of learning, the other half is the student's involvement and willingness to do what they need to do.
