This firm is the WORST!! Every review you see that is bad is 100% correct. I worked for this firm for over two years, and quickly was able to rise in position, or so I thought. They are the laziest people and that is how I was able to gain such positions in practice, but not in title. They are liers, decivers, users, nepotistic, extremely discriminatory people. Refering to Mrs. Harris' review, that is absolutely correct, infact, that is how I gained my position becasue the firm consistantly defied HIPPA laws by sending medical documents to the wrong person. The young UT students that get hired to be responsible for the documents have no concern for handling them properly because as is reviewed on Indeed, they will never get in trouble. They also do have extremly flexible schedules, as in they can no call no show on a regular basis with no repremand to follow. They also are allowed to be on their phones all day, the entire shift, full or part-timers. They play video games and watch movies while no work is completed all the while they are being paid. This type of culture fosters lazy indignant workers, which is why the HIPPA rules are not met regularly. The many departments also often fail to comply with the TWC time tables in which files, documents etc.. are required to be handled/submitted to the state. But they 'get away with it' because they work closely with the state. Beside the lack of professional standards or integrity, the office manager Sharissa Karol has shown extreme actions, many times. She once told me that the young man I worked with was lazy because "he was Muslim," she also told me that women work harder and better than men, and that it is a common known fact that women are able to multi-task where men were not, so I needed to just do my MALE managers job and don't ask questions. At another point where I made it clear that I did not want to do his job as I do not carry title nor pay as he did, she then proceeded to tell me that "I was not capable of doing the the research and additional work to complete his job" although I was already doing it, post gaining the knowledge through the 'research'. I am not one to sit back and be insulted or used in such a manner, so as you can imagine, Sharissa came for me hard. She bullies, tries to intimidate, in order to cause an associate to quit. I am not this weak, and I made it apparent by discussing this with the partners of the firm as she is the highest manager on the floor. The partners swore that they did not condone her behavior and profusely apologized on her behalf. This did nothing. She just came after me harder, she has even gone to the point of physically attacking me in the office, followed me out of the office, into the elevator and attempted to trap me there, until another individual came to my aid. Disgracefull this woman is. Again this was brought the partners and again they apologized on her behalf and said they did not condone such behavior. This was just to playcate me as I had become the manager of the said medical documents in order to follow correct HIPPA rules. I introduced a digital system for the files which streamlined the entire process and allowed for better accuracy. The male manager mentioned above, took the praise for my work and said it was his. Oh goodness, I could write several chapter on the ridiculous culture at Flahive Ogden and Latson. This woman also bullied a paralegal (Hispanic) to quit, because she was trying to deal with her husbands recent and sudden death in his sleep. While this woman continued to harras me EVERY DAY the partners themselves began to punt the situation back to this women (note: they told me after her attack on me, I would not have to deal with her one on one without a partner present). Once I realized there was absolutely no integrity in this firm I went to HR to attempt to create a record for my personal file, wherein I was told that the woman who carries the HR title really is not HR...When I asked quizzically who then was HR?!! I was told...drum roll please...the office manager Sharissa Karol.
