Their eftpos machine take a long time to process a payment - some instance up to 30 seconds until it time out. Their rates keep going up and up even though the visa/ MasterCard merchant charges had gone down.
When I cancel their service I was charged $330 ????
Do not get their service

Worst company I have dealt with. They did chargeback within days without further investigation. The case is a fraudulent transaction. Normally should allow up to 21 days of investigation.

Now they want to close the case....Charge back person Chris despite informing them we have reported to the police. Call centre Karen ID 2422 315 unwilling to provide further information of complaint of person in charge or even her supervisor name. Is that how they treat someone paying you fees on monthly basis?

We will take our business elsewhere. You just lost a 2 to 3k customer. We will lodge a further complaint to the financial ombudmans and provide all case against the way you handle this matter without further consultation despite us providing all information and said it's fraud and inform the person that initiate to dispute with us. You are unwilling to. I hope this will be review all process of chargeback as most banks will investigate the matter fully first and consult all parties before making a decision.

If I could give No Stars, I would. We commenced with BankWest merchant services that morphed into First Data. Yes, the bank computer systems work and do their job BUT they have outsourced customer service to an overseas call centre who have little or no comprehension of what I am asking and are given no decision making capacity, In other words they are a "live person" on the phone but in reality are completely useless. If you try and telephone their North Sydney office, the call goes to voice mail. Be advised business person, if you pay peanuts for merchant services, there are only monkeys on the other end of the phone. Stay away.

Did have a bad experience but must say that First Data Australian Management have been most most helpful in rectifying the situation. I appreciate that sometimes things will inadvertently go wrong however as this has been rectified I am now more than happy to give a positive review to First Data and especially the care taken by management to address problems that may arise which is exemplary. Thanks again appreciate your help!

Don't bother sending them e-mails with your funding issues but give them a call to get an answer right way, this may not be the best answer, but an answer nevertheless. Don't bother to call them further if you have not received your monies due to delayed funding when you were advised on your first call to them, send them an e-mail but not to merchant services, go to your account person to get it rectified. However, even after you have done according to my suggestions, do not expect things to get resolved quickly.

Their support services are located overseas and you will be put on hold quite a few times depending on your queries, be ready for that. Get some popcorn or open your newsfeed.

First Data is another company which will remind you about Nokia, Kodak, Blackberry, Blockbuster etc. Means that if they do not change the way they do things, It will be an easy target for a new disruptive company to topple it. Hopefully, the CEO of first data who is a Japanese descent could learn a thing or two from Fuji Film before it is too late..
