I order fiber optic supplies from FIS all the time. Their staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The last time I was there, I had to wait to get some supplies as they boxed it up for me. They took me around back to get some coffee and chat. Such a great company, very loyal to their customers. I will always use FIS for future fiber optic needs.

I contacted Fiber Instrument Sales as I am in need...
I contacted Fiber Instrument Sales as I am in need of renting a fusion splicer. FIS is the first non-add company to come up when googling fusion splicer rental and they had good reviews. After two months, countless calls, dozens of forms going back-and-forth I was told that they didn t hear anything from my credit references. (apparently you need credit references to rent a splicer) I requested they try again. I contacted said references and gave them a heads up of the incoming request. Three days later I was told by FIS that none of my references had responded. I again contacted said references and was told by all 4 that they had not received any requests via phone call or email. I called FIS to inquire on how the requests where sent and was told let me find out . Low and behold the references received a phone call later that afternoon. The references I submitted included a mix of companies I purchase equipment from, companies I lease products from, and companies I lease services from. My thought process was that I was renting something from FIS, they would want to talk to companies that I currently rent/lease from. I received a positive reference by all 4 references. I called today to inquire on the status and was told that they denied my rental as my references only included companies I rent/lease from... I have dozens of hours into trying to give them business. Don t make the same mistake I did. DON T WAIST YOUR TIME!
