Colonial building on the embankment, still keeping this spirit. Former club of foreign reporters.
The best place for an evening cocktail!

The best place for an evening cocktail!
Favorite place to take a beer on the river side. Went there every time when I visit Cambodia
The FCC salad was not bad, however the restaurant is open to winds and so is not air conditioned. In addition the staff is not very friendly. The bar on the top floor is not great, it's a little tight.
It will not leave me with a memorable memory.
Nice historical place in P.P. . Beautiful view of the Riverside
I must say the average rating is because i wasnt expecting it to be closed for renovations. I was hoping for a wonderful time here with a pint and the view, I heard it was the best, but alas i could'nt. Got an earful from my wife for dragging her along. She got some pickled mangoes and all was well again!
Interesting historically. Good iced coffee. Good views of the river. Historic photos on the walls of 1975 era.
Great colonial building, amazing view on the rooftop (3rd floor). Food is okay and prices a bit higher than in other places, so I recommend for a happy hour from 5pm onwards
I only used their bar - cocktails are delicious (frontline was a personal favourite) and this place has a really nice, relaxed vibe. Great location with a river view from the bar. Staff is friendly and service is quick. They also accept card payments.
There's a live music on the top floor. Great view and good western food.
I love this place to come and relax with a cold beer after a busy day of sightseeing. It's full of history as is where journalists would gather during the conflict years. Plenty of space if you go early lunchtime.
Interestingly I was last here back in 2002 when the views were much better, particularly southwards (hence lost one star). Attached collage shows then and now; tree growth in front has virtually eliminated the best view looking south to where the two rivers meet.
Overthere is great view to the Mekong River.
Great taste of Angkor Beer,too.
This was basically my living room from 1994 till 2000 when I lived a block away. Back then it was actually full of journalists every night, but it's been a tourist place forever. I always go here for a draught or two when I'm back in PP. Nice to see some of my photos up on the walls. (Faded badly!)
Still the greatest room in in town. Shot below from 1997 or so, when the furniture was massive.
The location and view is great for sipping a drink and people watching just before or after you have done a walk along the riverfront. Food however was disappointing
I ate on the 3rd floor, but it was hot because it was not air-conditioner.
I went to two of them and I had three more menus. TonleSop I saw the scenery and I ate it. I did not know anything hot and I ate it delicious. The taste of pizza is just pizza.
2+ hrs to get our food and a drink. Chaos and mayhem, and even after we complained nothing changed and no one came to ask us if we wanted another drink or anything else.
Food and drink orders were all wrong and had to be changed.
We were really looking forward to coming here and it ended in complete disappointment.
Went here January 2020. It's closed for huge refurbishment. I don't know any other details though
Popular site given its historical value but food is pretty average here. Come here for the views and history but go down the street for you meals. Great service and happy hour.
Brilliant 3 storey restaurant/bar with rooftop terrace. Great place to meet friends or dine
Even though the place's main food is fish and chips, the place was really good. They have really good shakes and the view was great with cooling fans. The service was fast and there was one big room with lot of tables.
been coming this place since 2001. the food use to be much better, still nice atmosphere and view.
A beautiful building, a beautiful view, inspiring history, all of it wasted - the FCC has a reputation, and they're pouring it down the drain because the service is some of the worst I've ever experienced.
Good atmosphere and a nice riverfront view...but it's crowd with tourists so often.
Vegetarian options available. Great riverfront view with cocktails to match. Good crowd. Good service. Recommended
Wonderful place to sit and relax. Great view of the river and very friendly staff.
Smoking is allowed in the back area (also good view) but not in the front.
I wasn't able to try the food but the drinkers were cheap and we'll poured.
Highly recommended to all travellers in Phnom Penh.
Not as history based as I liked, but has a superb atmosphere, food, drinks, and a stellar view
One corner of a hotel that stands on the riverside.
Encore beer while hitting the night wind
I think it is good to drink.
Great restaurant...Great views and nice roof bar too!
You can go from ground floor to 4th roof top bars all different with different menus and patrons no disabled access and gets very busy as live music on great views of river and of locals on riverfront.
Amazing ambience, friendly staff and great drinks and food.
Cosy place with a lot of history. On a backpacker budget it was a bit pricy but not unreasonable. Definately worth a visit for a meal or drinks.
You know what? I like this place. Is it touristy, and a tad overpriced? Of course it is- but there's a cool and unique history and vibe that makes it a must visit. I killed a few hours here one morning waiting for my flight. There's a beautiful view of the riverside from the balcony, which is the perfect spot to sip a cocktail while watching the madness of Phnom Penh roll by.
Oh, if you buy one of the tiny bottles of infused sugarcane liqueur from the gift shop, Cambodian airport security will confiscate it when you leave the country. Ask me how I know. (I'm not bitter)
A true HCMC "classic must visit" place. From here the war was reported - the telex is swapped with a good WiFi. The Fish and chips is world Class and the bar is a legendary place.
The restaurant is not air-conditioned, and it is a bit too good to say that things are delicious. Personally, it feels purely just fame, service is bad, and the meal is not wrong. The overall dining environment is not good, flies fly around, temporarily Give a negative rating to a star! Can only say that it is rotten, come to Cambodia for a week, this meal is the most indigestible.
A beautiful old colonial building with walls are littered with old photos maps, and quotes from past travellers to Cambodia. You get a real sense that you re in the same space as adventurers gone by, if you ignore all the tourists.
The food is good, and there are cold beers or cocktails to help you relax into the evening.
Even though the atmosphere of the shop and the food and drink are good, it is very disappointing that loud music and karaoke are flowing from the cafe bar on the opposite side
Place has a nice view. I ordered a well-done beef burger, however, meat looked bit pink. After restaurant brought me the second burger, it still looked pink. So I decided not to eat the burger and asked for the bill. They did not charge me for the burger, which is unusual in Phnom Penh. So I would say they have a good service.
Hmm, we were shocked at how grubby the FCC looks from outside as well as up the stairs into the bar/rooms. The main bar itself was clean but it is not that good a view (obscured by trees toward the river and out the back onto a waste ground) and it was hugely lacking atmosphere. Other bars looked much more welcoming from outside. Trading on past glory/notoriety.
Style over substance. My partner and I visited for drinks and to tick it off our list of things to do in Phnom Penh. I ordered a mojito, which was pretty much tasteless. The place doesn't even look like anything special. I expected colonial charm but was very disappointed. Give it a miss.
Good location, but our foods was not really nice and waiting so long.
Best views of the tosle sap river and Mekong River in Phnom Penh Cambodia from its third story restaurant that has balcony dinning .
This is the hotel that the international media used when covering the 1974/79 Khmer rouge war .
Best times to visit is about 1 hour before sunset so you can see Phnom Penh city turn from dusk into darkness and see the mighty Mekong River at the moment August/ September / October it's in flood as it's the end of the rainy season and the river is bank to bank with fast flowing flood waters .
Been closed for renovations for over a year. When it was open it was overpriced and relying on what it previously represented.
Delicious cocktails with nice views. Relaxing way to spend an afternoon
Great atmosphere, good food with the best views of Mekong river! Highly recommended!
Possibly the last of its kind. It's been here for so long. Should go and check it out.
No complaints. Considering the historical significance of the building they could do a lot more with it.
Excellent but sometimes no seat left because of tour group
A nice and historic place to grab a coffee, lunch or a beer and enjoy a fabulous view of the riverside. Prices are high for Phnom Penh standards, a cappuccino is $3.00, you will probably not find many locals here.
If you're in Phnom Penh you must visit this lovely Old, historical building. During reig of the Khymer Rouge reporter from all over the world used this as their base to keep the world informed of the terrible atrocities that were being committed by the KR.
There are many old photos, taken during this period, displayed for everyone to see.
The food and drinks are excellent and reasonable priced and the view from the upper bars is staggering.
It is a nice restaurant.
The food is also delicious.
A place of history and art - what's not to love about it
Called in for a drink and then a meal today after strolling along the Prom. Nice to have a decent craft beer, though only one of 2 was available. Food was good, but service was awful. 45 min wait for a starter, then discovered the waiter had only written down one main rather than two. When the other came, it was delivered to (and eaten at) another table. Eventually got serbed. Disgusted to be charged 5% for service, so made a fuss. This removed the charge and free (very good) coffee. They are clearly understaffed and are overcharging (though I ve only just arrived in Cambodia).
Garbage.
$80 for 4 people, one child and the food was crap anyway.
Seriously, you can get a giant feed from street stalls for $2. A good restaurant, $4 MAYBE.
$80 with this kind of pricing in cinsideration... I would expect 5 star food and this was NOT. Maybe 2 star. Small portions, a mojito was $4.80 - I ordered it expecting at least a fairly large cup. *laughs in disbelief* I got a really small thin tall glass.
No gripe against the staff at all though. Just the gouging. If you want to ride on a famous landmark, at least be respectful and give value.
Not going back ever. But with their prices like that, they don't need you to.
Seriously, if you do the math, that's roughly $1,500 for that dinner in Australian dollars back home.
RIP OFF. Support the locals not the fat pink cigar smoking troll that obviously owns this place.
This is a Legendary place in Phnom Penh. Good good&wine, and a pleasant pool to spend Time and enjoy
I have not stayed. I've been to the bar. Wonderful river view. To be seen
Great place to have an afternoon drink enjoy good food and amazing view
Enjoyed our dinner and drinks looking over the city , and the river on the other side.a lovely experience, would highly recommend the FCC.food and staff so good.
Good place, colonial style, old building, river view
Good location, very nice view from the 3rd floor, food is in good quality. This place charge 15% tax and service fee on top of the menu prices, which is not common in Cambodia and make it $$$
I ate a dragon fruit lassie at the restaurant on the third floor, which is really good. The price is $ 3.50, plus service charge and tax. Do not let the water go !!! I asked for a glass of water and bought a small bottle of water and a glass of glass for $ 2.25 .;;;;;
Nice historic place for a coffee or a drink. It's a bit expensive ($4 for a coffee and $6 for cocktail)
Unmissable address when going to Phnom Penh
Loads of history since it is here that journalists wrote and sent their articles during the terrible events in Cambodia
Overlooks the Mekong and the bustling city
Eat there in the evening or just have a drink but in the EVENING
Great view and vibes overlooking the river. Best to have drinks on the top floor and eat on the first floor.
Nice stop in 2015. Closed for renovations in 2020. All information I saw beforehand on FCC said nothing on closure. Disappointed.
