Food: Excellent! If you are looking for authentic Cuban food, look no further. My favorites are Ropa Vieja (Cuban), Frango Ipanema (Brazilian), and Fried Okra.
Drinks: Excellent. Great mojitos and caipirinhas!
Space:This is a restaurant dance club and bar in a cozy and casual setting. The main dining and bar area is small for the dance club fun of the experience making it that more intimate, friendly and conducive to mixing and mingling. In the warmer weather months, they have outdoor dining. Great place to bring a date or impress your significant other. Great for date night or get togethers.
Scene: People watching. Romantic. Date night. Dancing.
Service: Excellent! Very courteous & professional.

Food was mediocre at best. Margaritas were terrible. We were a large group so I give them a pass on service. I had the hanger steak and it was cheap meat and looked very low quality. The bill wasn't particularly cheap either. I definitely will not be coming back. Not recommended. Plenty of better cuban around the city.

This place is amazing- been here a few times and can t complain about anything. Love the food and happy hour specials. Ricky is the best waiter! Highly recommend!

Decent food in a decent setting, nothing particularly standout.

The hostess or waitress kept coming back telling us what they didn't have. The food was not great. Not authentic.

Brazilian/Cuban fusion restaurant with delicious food, attentive service.

I often take my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are yummy and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we pass a splendid time. warmly recommended.

Food is amazing and staff is lovely. They are always nice to my boys. The salads are all good, the Salmon is amazing. My husband would say this shrimp is the best thing on the menu. Get the cheese bread for the kids

Loved the food and the environment!! Oysters are fresh and full of flavor! Good for drinks and tapas with friends!

The seafood paella was AMAZING. So flavorful and filled with tons of seafood. Can't wait to go back.

Brazilian meets Cuban..what's not to like. The place is small but cozy and the bartender makes great cocktails (the Mora Picante was fantastic) Started off with a great soup, then ropa vieja (shredded beef) which is a classic and finished off with tres leches and cafecito. A perfect meal.

Stumbled upon this intimate & inviting gem while visiting an exhibit nearby and was blown away by the intense flavors of the food and sauces.

We ordered the lunch special: cuban half sandwich, butternut squash soup & tostones which came with a green pepper cream sauce & mixed greens. I don't like ham or swiss cheese but this pork was so well seasoned, so tender & juicy I couldn't stop raving about it. My mouth is watering as I write this review.

Ricky & another gentleman served us delicious cocktails & checked on us frequently - the service was impeccable. The bar stools are playable tamboras which make for an interesting look ! So very worth every penny spent here.

Cuban sandwich was excellent and was the muscles. The disappointing thing was the white rice and black beans. The major part of a Spanish restaurant is the rice and beans. The rice tasted like rice from a Chinese takeout and the black beans tasted like they were from a can. NO FLAVOR. The service was great and the prices were fair for the location. I would return to try other dishes.

They have amazing food. It is decently priced and the portions are enough to share. There Cuban sandwich is amazing.

very good for latin partys, good drinks good food. very crowed in the dance parties, specially in the kizomba and cuban ones. it is great in summer to have a drink outside and live the NYU life

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this excellent restaurant. Well we enjoyed a magnificent evening and the restaurant was surely one of the reasons for that successful celebration. The team collaborated in a very nice way, the cuisine was yummy and my friends were extremely joyful. We shall surely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Favela Cubana s food is absolutely outstanding! I highly recommend the Camarao a Baiana. The shrimp was great and our server Alicia was awesome as well. Great New York spot!

Great restaurant nestled into the fabric of the vibrant and liberating air of NYU! Quaint restaurant that serves excellent food that seems to be prepared by a chef! Tasty and satisfying - the drinks are very delicious - try the sangria and the margarita! Please visit!

Good food and decent prices BUT I have to give two stars because of service. Went there this past Wednesday and not only did I, and some of the other diners while I was there, have to get up to grab our check and orders taken, the staff stole my French fries from the half remaining sandwich I asked to be wrapped up. I fully admit that the fries are DOPE but come on! Don t steal from a hard working sister.

I would say do not waste your time or money in this establishment. The food is okay, but the service is extremely slow. Also, the prices for some of the items are ridiculous. For example, their guacamole and chips is $10 and contains about 2 tablespoons of guacamole and 10 chips.

The food was ok, drinks ok, but the bar tender was terrible. My husband and I greeted him when we sat at the bar in English and Spanish, no response. Tried to make small talk no response. Personality of a toad.

Came here to celebrate a double co-worker birthday during lunch and we had a great time. We were in a tight schedule and the staff was very attentive and understanding.

The steak and eggs were good, but why was the cheese bread so hard?? It felt like biting in stones :S

This Cuban Brazilian joint has wonderful cocktail pitchers - I'd highly recommend the Caipirinha. Despite being right by NYU, the slightly higher price point means that it isn't student central. Friendly and unpretentious service, which in itself is a rarity in NYC. I've also been here to watch a world cup game and they had a couple of big screens inside as well as a large flat-screen TV in the outside area.

Went for brunch and their eggs Benedict was great. They also had great bottomless brunch options including caipirinhas. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful.

The food is good nothing amazing thou. I like the decor is very tropical caribean/ brazilian. The restaurant is more cuban food than anything if you want brazilian food go to miss favela in brooklyn. I got the churasco with yuca fries and my friend good ropa vieja. He said it was good.

Ordered the Cubano with garlic fries and steak sandwich...was absolutely floored by the flavor and quality! Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. If you want great food, this is the place to get it!

Had the paella. It was an ok experience. It tasted good, but nothing out of the ordinary. I m Cuban, so I know what amazing Cuban food tastes like.

I m sitting here on an early Saturday afternoon surrounded by music, groups of friends, family, and great service staff. The steak sandwich is the best steak sandwich I ve had in YEARS. The caldo verde brought me back home, and warmed my soul. I can t emphasize enough how much I love this place, and the lovely people that work here!

A very interesting place to eat Cuban and Brazilian food. The Cuban sandwich is very rich and the 'old clothes' is acceptable, although it is missing bread or something to accompany the dish

Terribly expensive relative to menu and drinks are white the rip-off. If one wants the bottomless brunch everyone at the table has to get it. Do the math if you go with a party of 5 X $29.99. For tiny Mojitos and subpar menu items? The tables are also tiny and place is cramped.

Absolutely a place worth stopping by, the food is great and well prepared, the rates are convenient and it is consistently neat here. Kudos.

Definitely worth visiting the food was delicious, drinks just right,* service warm and friendly and the ambiance nostalgic of Cuba. My server was from Guatemala not only was he excellent at his job he was a great ambassador to his native country. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This spot clearly knows how to satisfy their clients. Regularly with a nice attitude. The food is affordably priced, regularly yummy and clean.

Excellent food, reasonable prices, super friendly staff. Place can get a little crowded on a Friday night so make sure to get there early.

Food was ok. Drinks were horrible. I bought 3 for myself and 2 for my partner we didn't get a little buzz. Dont waste your money on their drink. Smh

Exceptional staff during pandemic. So much space to enjoy yourself fully removed from the street. Food is very flavorful!!!
