We went to Duo last week for our anniversary and had a great experience! We shared a black truffle pizza appetizer that was incredible. My boyfriend had the fillet medium-rare that was fabulous, and I had the braised short ribs which was so soft and succulent I finished the whole portion withouth even touching my knife! The food was fabulous, and the waiters were pleasant and efficient. We will definitely be going back for more!
Great restaurant with a delicious menu and cocktails to match. It's a little fancy, which I liked because it gives you an excuse to get dressed up for a night out. My wife and I went there with another couple and had a great time, perfect for dinner, drinks, and conversation.
Great atmosphere overall. The art on the wall set the mood for the night.
Went for Brunch Sunday. Service was OK, but we had 2 different waiters take our orders. Poor coordination. The furnishings are upscale, but the lighting is among the worst I have seen. Too harsh from overhead chandelier and only 2 levels of lighting. You would have thought for all the money they obviously put into furnishings, they could have hired a descent lighting designer. Food was mundane, nothing special. Too bad since the neighborhood could have used this place.
The whole place felt a little gaudy to me. The decor is over the top, especially for the neighborhood, and the service felt sterile and robotic. The food was solid but not original. It might be fun for a girls night out if you're all planning to get really dressed up, but otherwise it's a bit over the top.
I went here for brunch with my mother and my daughter. This place was weird, that's the best way to explain it. It was beautifully decorated, I loved the feel of it and ambiance. The hostess was very nice, but that's where my compliments on the staff end. The place was pretty much empty... 2 or 3 other tables besides us, the waiter was unenchanting and Unenchanted and the bus boy was pretty much the same. We weren't really attended to, and couldn't find them most of the time.
The food was good, however, really good, actually. There was also a manager type person who glared at us and stood behind our table a lot and was creepy and I really just wanted to leave the whole time we were there.
No one offered us another drink, or coffee or anything...
The place was also very hot inside...seemed like no A/C on.....
And the high chair my 8 month old was in seemed unsafe and falling apart... I will not return to this awkward place.
Duo recently started serving brunch. The decor is is extremely contemporary and upscale. It's more reminiscent of a Las Vegas nightclub and lounge. In the back they have a dining room much like a dining room in your own home. Menus are high tech. Bring your money!
We came for a preview of its brunch menu and tried the banana fosters risotto and the signature cookies & creme french toast. DUO is definitely more about the ambiance and people watching than the food itself. Menu items sound fancy, but disappoint in taste. The highlight of our brunch experience was the bloody mary cocktail with celery foam.
this place is horrible! nobody was there at 8pm, and when i called earlier, they didnt want to take my reservation [because they said they close early] yet there was NOBODY in the restaurant!

The bar area is great for drinks and appetizers. All the staff were welcoming. I had dinner with a friend there. The truffle pizza was a great way to start the meal and the vegetable pasta was great. Everything else on the menu looked just as good, I don't think a bad choice could be made. My friend and I thought the service was just top notch and would and will go back again.
I decided to book this restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday brunch on 8/25. I was told I needed to make the reservation a month in advance which I did on 7/24 BUT to my surprise when I got there the restaurant was closed!! To make things worse when I tried calling them their phone just rang and didn't even have a pre-recorded message with the company name. I ate somewhere else. Today I called and Molly answered the phone and insisted that I never called, made a reservation and their system cannot make Sunday reservations. I asked for the manager and she had me on hold for 15mins. Not once did she apologize for my inconvenience or their mistake; she was rude and very unprofessional. The sad part is that I paid in advance, paid for parking and still had to eat elsewhere else. When I asked about why they closed all day ( I know this because my reservation was for noon and I had a spa appt. across the street at 2 which ended at 5 and they were still closed) she said they don't open on Sunday. Note: Both online and on their door their hours state 11:30am -11 or 11:30pm. NEVER AGAIN!!
Have to admit with its name figured they would have many dishes served with the same protein two different ways and that might have lifted this place above someone's idea of a fancy place as they have backlit menus and little chairs for purses to go along with two huge paintings of younger women. The food was okay but nothing that impressed enough to be worth the price so not worth returning.
We've been here a few times. The place is gorgeous, the food is gorgeous. The hanger steak is one of my favs. It is perfection on a plate. Sides are very good. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and seamless. Always have the best time here!
