It is very famous in Kuala Lumpur and has to queue for about 45 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. The main hot and sour scales, the hot and sour sauce is good, but it is too overbearing to finish without the scales. On the contrary, the salt and pepper shrimp is quite good, otherwise it is only worth 2 stars.
The environment is average, the seats are simple and crowded, and the average price is H K$160. There is a small night market nearby where you can find Hong Kong s fallen street foods, such as biscuits, grilled squid, etc.

Famous for their chilli crab. Fatty Crab is one of those restaurants to me that have become a well established part of the Malaysian food scene. The chilli crab paired with bread to soak up all the gravy. The chicken wings, garlic prawns and steamed fish are really good too. Though, I noticed a price hike the last time I came here; they only accept cash only so do withdraw before coming!

The only place to eat crab fried spicy sweet and sour, the way they do. It is very tasty and goes very well with their toasted bread and fried rice. There are also other good dishes to add on. To me their other best is the fried chicken wing. Really better than any other finger-licking good chicken wing available. It is ever so porpular. Like perpectually full house. Must be happy to queue up for your table. And it is not cheap either but well worth it all. Normal Chinese Coffee Shop ambience with aircon upstairs. The food is so good, you will not be bother by the heat downstairs !

Great but limited choices of food. Not necessarily a bad thing as everything tastes good and you won't waste much time pondering what to order. Must try their chicken wings! Be prepared for long queue and waiting times though. This restaurant is too famous for its own good.

If I were to make a recommendation, just order the crab and fried rice. It goes really well together, and it's one of the nicest tasting crab I've ever had before.

The prawns are expensive and I honestly wouldn't recommend it.

Phew ... It's not like Singapore Chilli Crab.

Phew ... It's not like Singapore Chilli Crab.
The price is not bad
The crab is very hard and the seasoning is not very good.
It's too hard to get upset.
When I went to 5 o'clock, there were no customers, but after I finished eating, I line up.
But I don't know if I should line up like that.

One of the most awesome places for chilli crab. Spicy stupendous. I always bring my foreign guests here to experience a real malaysian crab house. The chicken wings here are also a killer. Make sure you order a large plate of their great fried rice to go with the awesome crab!!!

Still need to freaking Q at 6PM on Saturday. Q was for 30 mins and another 30 mins before the chilli crabs arrived. Still delicious fresh crabs. However, major disappointment was that they did not have the mantou buns and have it replaced with toast pieces of bread which is a bummer.

Must eat are the Steam Crab and Sweet and Sour Crab. There are no vege dishes here. And no Man Tau but they do have Toasted Bread.

Other dishes that they do have are Fried Rice, Steam Fish and prawns. They have some killer Chicken Wings and Satay too to fill your tummehhhhh.

Price are reasonable! Just make sure you come early to cue! Especially on the weekends! :)

This restaurant is really popular. You need to be here around 5 pm if you dont want to queue. The crab is really good, both the one with a lot of chili and the one without. Try their chicken wings, tasty as well.

Probably one of the best crab and seafood restaurants in KL. Fatty Crab has been in business for a long time and still serve great dishes. Ensure you go early since there is very limited parking in the area and there is normally a long line to wait in if your late. Fatty Crab has not just chilli or butter crab but also chicken wings and satays in beef or chicken. Go with an empty stomach and a big group to enjoy a great crab dinner.

Fatty Crab Restaurant specialises in preparing sour and chilli crabs.

The restaurant has more than 30 years of history and is known as to the many agreeing locals.

We arrived at around 645 PM and was met with many hungry customers at the restaurant. My friend and I quickly took our place at a small table for two and count our blessing that we did not have to wait very long.

We ordered 3 dishes; a single crab, fried rice and chicken satay.

The sour and chilli sauce is tasty and has been prepared with love and care.

The sourness add a punch to the dish.
It has been thickened with flour so that it mixed and adhere to the crab meat easily.

What impressed me most about the dish is the freshness of the crab! This aspect of the dish is a clear standout for me.

The fried rice is a disappointment to me. It is clearly curated to match the crab dish.

It is a touch bland to me perhaps they do that to match the sourness of the crab sauce but I would have like it to be more salty.

I would suggest them to try Japanese rice to make the fried rice. The stickiness and inherently sweetness of Japanese rice will add to the appeal of the dish especially when match up with the crab.

My favourite dish surprisingly is the most humble of the 3 dishes. The satay were made slightly shorter than normal and is succulent. Making biting a pleasure and a less than mouthful experience.

The last bit that is worth mentioning is the restaurant is very clean by normal standard.

I would scored it 5 out of 5 stars. However, for a coffee shop environment with no AC the price of the dinner came up to be 140RM. Too expensive to me.

The crab is quite unique with sweet and sour Chili sauce. I would say 3.5 stars with the fun of bread dipping in the sauce. But the most delicious dish was the prawns! Delicious. If I remembered correctly, they don t have any vege on their menu. Strange.
