Fatty Crab Restaurant specialises in preparing sour and chilli crabs.

The restaurant has more than 30 years of history and is known as to the many agreeing locals.

We arrived at around 645 PM and was met with many hungry customers at the restaurant. My friend and I quickly took our place at a small table for two and count our blessing that we did not have to wait very long.

We ordered 3 dishes; a single crab, fried rice and chicken satay.

The sour and chilli sauce is tasty and has been prepared with love and care.

The sourness add a punch to the dish.
It has been thickened with flour so that it mixed and adhere to the crab meat easily.

What impressed me most about the dish is the freshness of the crab! This aspect of the dish is a clear standout for me.

The fried rice is a disappointment to me. It is clearly curated to match the crab dish.

It is a touch bland to me perhaps they do that to match the sourness of the crab sauce but I would have like it to be more salty.

I would suggest them to try Japanese rice to make the fried rice. The stickiness and inherently sweetness of Japanese rice will add to the appeal of the dish especially when match up with the crab.

My favourite dish surprisingly is the most humble of the 3 dishes. The satay were made slightly shorter than normal and is succulent. Making biting a pleasure and a less than mouthful experience.

The last bit that is worth mentioning is the restaurant is very clean by normal standard.

I would scored it 5 out of 5 stars. However, for a coffee shop environment with no AC the price of the dinner came up to be 140RM. Too expensive to me.
