Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I had heard the food was good and had been wanting to try it for awhile. We decided to go for my Mother's Day breakfast. The website said the restaurant opens at 8am so we arrived at 8:20 to find out they were not opening the doors until 9am. Many others showed up also expecting the restaurant to open at 8am. A huge crowd formed outside the restaurant and no one comes out to apologize or explain the reason for the opening time change and they don't offer to start seating anyone even just a few minutes early even though people had been standing outside for an hour.
It is mad chaos when they open the doors as everyone is trying to get in to get a table. When we finally make it to the hostess stand we find out they are only serving a Mother's Day buffet and the regular menu is not available. With a buffet comes more $$$ so I was furious to find out that they did not explain this on the website or for the hour that we were standing outside. When I shared my disappointment that we have been standing outside for almost an hour and that the regular menu was not available with no communication from the restaurant the manager just looked down, would not look me in the eye, did not apologize and did not show any sympathy for the fact that I've spent my Mother's Day morning waiting outside for an hour to get into their restaurant which they should've clearly stated online that they were having a Mother's Day buffet and were not opening until 9 AM. This is a regular practice that restaurants do when they have a special menu and especially if they are opening later than their normal time.
I'm sure they have a great staff and great food and I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with the consequences of their poor management. We understand that these things happen, but for them not to apologize or express any sympathy is really a deal breaker. There are a lot of restaurants with good food, but if you don't have customer service down I'm not going to waste my time or money.
Don't waste your money with this restaurant that has horrible customer service, rude and unsympathetic people especially on a special day like Mother's Day. Worst management I've ever seen.
Here's a little tip, The Fatted Calf - updating your website and posting a sign on your door with the changes would have saved you a huge headache. Pretty simple!
