They take the time to make sure you get great shoes that help with your run. I sat down with them and found out my shoes were effecting my runs. The shoes I purchased have helped me a lot.

I'm reading all of the great reviews and think I must have been in on an off day. I felt more like I was bothering the gentleman who helped me. He brought me 4 PRs of shoes and then didn't really pay much attention Wandered back and forth between me and another couple of people who were chatting, other staff maybe. He just didn't seem to be interested in helping me

Just came in for the first time today. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff member helped me. I am impressed with the service. I'll be returning.

Very disappointed.As an avid runner,5-6 times a week,saved &Bought new runners to replaced my very high mileage runners 14 days ago,not once was I told to use only on treadmill to get a refund.It does not state it on the receipt either.Went to go for a run,2nd run only ,5k in my run,the plastic started eating up my heel..was so upset but thought..no worries..ill go get them replaced.Only to be told then that "oh,you had to use them on treadmill only,sorry nothing I can do but give you the manufacturer # for you to get a refund!So I'm now without running shoes ,almost $200 loss, stuck with a pair of runners that cant even b used. Will not go back there for my next runners,nor will i recommend this place to anyone.With that kind of investment I wouldve expected better customer service>At least when bought to be told to that no refund if wore outside.

Great service, I came in and a knowledgeable guy came over to me right away. We talked about the type of shoe that I wanted and issues that I was having and he brought up several pairs of shoes. I tried a few pairs on and ended up taking the first pair he suggested. It was not by accident that he had shown me that pair first.

Needed to get a new pair of running shoes but wanted to get unbiased advice. They got me to run on a treadmill and diagnosed some problems. I tried 4 pairs of recommended shoes and "ran" away happy.

This place is great. They are always there to help you out. They have the best selection of shoes in town. If they don't have your size they will get it for you in a week or 2. They have everything a runner or skier needs plus stuff you don't.

This past Saturday I visited two stores in Edmonton that specialize in selling running shoes. The first experience consisted of a salesperson that pressured me into purchasing a specific type of shoe. This was not an enjoyable experience. I did not purchase shoes at this store. I went to Fast Trax afterwards and was immediately greeted at the main door. I spoke to a young lady who has very pleasant and helpful. I tried on several pairs of shoes and did not feel pressured to buy shoes and make a sale. The young lady who assisted me made an effort to ask me about my running and specifically if I was training for something. I wanted to thank the Fast Trax staff for this service. I enjoyed coming into this store. Thank you (I think the employee who helping me was named Melissa) for a very nice shopping experience.

I can't say enough good things about this shop. The level of selection, friendly service, and how much effort they out into making sure you get the right shoe is unmatched in Edmonton. Nobody has the same shoe selection in when it comes to pure running/trail shoes.

I had such a great experience at Fast Trax! Their staff are friendly and really know their stuff. The salesperson that helped me assessed my gait on their treadmill and really listened when I told him what I wanted. He gave me some great input and showed me a number of pairs but definitely got it right with the very first one. Thank you so much! I will definitely be back.

Exceptional Customer Service!

I visited Fast Trax last week and they were incredibly helpful. I had previously bought a pair of runners in a brand I had been using for years from a different store, but these latest ones ended up giving me numbness in my feet. I told them my issue and they took the time to find the right fit for me. I didn't get his name, but it was a tall, slender man with lighter hair who helped me out. He was very patient and brought out numerous pairs of shoes for me to try on. I ended up leaving with a pair of Saucony Triumph 17's and tried them for the first time today. The lady at the counter was right, they are like running on clouds! I will definitely be returning.

I'm new to running, so clueless about shoes. They reviewed my gait, had me try on several pairs of shoes till we found the perfect pair. The staff was fantastic.

I went there for advice on cross country skis: the skis themselves, waxes, and clothing. Very knowledgable staff. Patient and professional. You can tell they love what they do.

Fast trax is the only store I recommend for anyone serious about trail running or crosscountry skiing! Fast Trax is a store for runners and skiers mangaed and ran by the same peopel you will see on the trails. They know and use the equipment they sell!!

Best running (and skiing) store I have visited. The help and advice is unmatched. I've gone in with a request, and the staff has had an immense amount of knowledge to provide, and each time found me something even better than I had been looking for. They are certainly worth spending the money to buy local to support your local running community.

I went to Fast Trax as I have been struggling with shin splints and was worried they were shoe related. I brought in my new-ish shoes for comparison. They did a video gait analysis and after watching my run informed me that I am a toe running over strider which is likely causing the shin splints through breaking. They gave me a few tips and exercises/marching/hinging I could do. I did my own personal research and what they suggested was spot on. They told me I didn't even need new shoes and there was absolutely zero sales pressure. One of the gentlemen helping me was clearly on his way out but took the time necessary to explain what to do. It was so helpful. I will definitely be back for my next pair and any other running needs. It was so refreshing to get such great customer service. Thank you for your help!!!

Fast Trax was a refreshing shopping experience. Not very often do you have the delightful opportunity to buy sports equipment directly from the owner. Big thanks to Simon who gave my wife and I 10% off for buying all of our equipment from his store. I ll be shopping here for my next pair of running shoes.

Always super impressed when I go here. They have an awesome selection of shoes - including models and brands you can't get anywhere else. They also have a super knowledgeable staff. When I went to get a new pair of trail runners, the salesperson took the shoes I had asked to try on and suggested other models with similar features. I know this sounds like it's no big deal, but a lot of running shoe store personnel don't have enough of an understanding of the differences between shoes to do this effectively. The staff here are also happy to let you try on every pair in the store if you feel like it. They really seem to care that you get the right pair for you. If you are a runner, this store is a must-visit.

I picked up an amazing pair of Salomon Aero 9 Skin Ski's here a couple years ago and faithfully return here every year to get my family's XC ski's waxed. They are very patient in making sure you get the right equipment and take the time to make sure you get the best value and performance for your purchase. I'll continue to come back here for years to come!

Fast Trax has an amazing selection of running shoes and very knowledgeable, down to earth staff. I have purchased many pairs of running shoes from them as well as nordic skis from them and someone is always there to greet you when you come in and assist you with whatever you may need. A great place for runners of all types!

Great selection and the service is great too. I was getting shoes for my daughter and she tends to be picky, she probably tried over 20 pairs of shows before narrowing it down to the pair we bought. The person helping us was very patient and never pressured us at all. I've also bought running shoes there before and he is very knowledgeable and listens to your concerns/requests to get you the best shoe for you.

There is no reason to buy a running shoe at any other place in Edmonton. The extra level of knowledge, experience and skill you have helping you find the right show can't be matched anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Both times I've been here I was very impressed with the level of knowledge that the staff had, and left with a pair of shoes that I could race in immediately without discomfort. Definitely highly recommend coming here for run shoe needs.

Fast Trax has a top notch selection of trail running and road running and cross country ski equipment and it is named fast for a reason because if you're fast (or slow) and looking to get faster than join the run club and prepare to burn or drag a piano around the track as the owner Jack is fond of saying about his track racing exploits.

Although only a recent client here at Fast Trax, the knowledgeable staff here are incredibly inviting and willing to help. They also support many great Nordic, running and various sporting activities within Edmonton and across Alberta. Would highly recommend their shop for all your endurance sporting needs.

I called the other day to enquire about buying some shoes while the store is closed due to the COVID pandemic. Mekita who answered the phone was super awesome and helpful. She send me an email 10 mins later with some great options and pictures. An hour later I was at the store and tried a few one before going home with my new runners. 10/10 customer experience.

Recently I have learned of a large gathering organized event in our community that was put on by your store. We are currently managing an incredibly overwhelmed health care system and it is very disappointing to learn that your store acted in such an irresponsible way. Covid 19 is impacting so many people in our community. Do better and follow the AHS health guidelines.

My partner and I have shopped at this store before for ski equipment and trail running equipment. I came into this store this week and had a wait a while to get assistance. There was only one person working. The previous staff who had assisted me before were no longer there. I am wondering if this lack of staffing will be addressed.

Had a great experience, was refered by a friend who also does OCR racing. Happend to pop in on my lunch and they had Asics and other trail shoes 60 % off which is like GOLD in my world. Bought my first ever trail shoes and some samples of Gu and Waffers for my big race coming up. Service was great (i was wearing stinky sockless shoes too! Sorry!!!) reccomendations were great, all my silly questions were answered ( i usually hit up running room and they get restless pretty quick) will recomend to my racing friends!

Small independent shop run by a super athletic dude who has other super athletic dudes working for him, so they know what they're talking about. Got great advice when I went in to get a new x-country ski set, would definitely go back. One drawback is their location.

Great place. I was in and out in 15 min with style and colour of shoe I wanted. Was faster than shopping online from elsewhere (where I did everything one is supposed to, but the shoes ordered still didn't fit, and I had to go to the hassle of returns). Won't bother with online again: will just come here.

After spending months looking for the right pair of runners, and feeling disappointed with the lack of help I received from other stores. I came into Fast Trax upon recommendation of a few friends. I was so impressed by the knowledgeable staff, who were able to give me some tips on improving my run technique to help with nagging hip and knee pain, and also guide me in the right direction to a new pair of runners. I wont be going anywhere else in the future. Highly recommend.

This store specializes in running and cross country skiing. I've only gone here for running, mainly with my daughter who is an experienced runner. Fast Trax is hands down the best running store in Edmonton. Selection of shoes is excellent and when combined with the extremely knowledgeable staff, you should be able to find the best shoe for you. Also a good selection of clothes and accessories. This should be your first stop for running shoes in Edmonton. Highly unlikely that you'll have to go anywhere else.

A hidden gem! Discovered this place after MEC ran out of winter equipment. They had a ton of cross country gear for any level.
