Good place to work and everyone works in the office are great people
The owner will even greet you and say hello to you.. very nice folks at Royal Trucking. I got plenty of miles to keep you rolling. You will make money at Royal..if you are a hard worker.and like to run..apply here..the Health insurance is top dog too..cant beat it nowhere i dont believe. The equipment is pretty new. Apu's. Mostly Internationals with some cascadias. Freightliners. They have flatbed and dry vans. They do run to Canada if you like going up that way. But its not forced. Hometime is awesome..as far as orientation..its just like most places..videos, drug screens, paperwork..3 days.and you stay at the days inn at west point. Its descent. Then you listen to what they have to say. Get it overwith and if everything checks out ok. You.ll be trucking.. All of their fleet is automatics. (Downside) and super SINGLES (Tires) not good if you blow a tire but they really good about getting the help you need when you need it.. I made good money there and i.d go back and do it all again.... Caution though..just becareful what you doing out here. If you break something or hit something.. They will bring you into an office with 4-5 people in there discussing the issue. You will have to do computer safety training videos depending on the case or issue.. They will take it out of your check if its deemed your fault..but if your a safe driver this really is a great place to work...best i.ve seen ever..you dont sit like them other companies too big too care about you..the driver..and they know you by name..not by id# or truck #.
I have never used them but have reported them several times to the SC Highway patrol for ignoring posted traffic laws. When there are signs for miles stating trucks over 6 wheels are not allowed in left lane but royal trucking employees dont believe this applies to them. Its happened 4 times and everytime the law breaking employees driving are holding up traffic. If this company can't make their employees follow basic traffic laws, iam quite sure they are breaking many other laws.
On time. At both origin and destination. So important for small businesses (and our customers) to have their vendors do things promptly .
They lie to you and then make up reasons why they won't let you drive for them. Had an accident in a none commercial vehicle over a year ago and they said it was a commercial vehicle. I tried to show them the reports but they wouldn't listen. Very bad company relations.
In training at my new job and hope to team up with my husband to drive for this company and my husband has been working for them before I joined the family company and he really love it and I like the way they have been treating me and my hubby.
I have to be completely honest about this company. They are a great company to work for and the pay is great also. I've been with them over a year but I decided to move on top another company
Not the nicest looking place. But they care about their drivers. A good company to for.
The safety manager refused to give a full employment verification of a current driver before the 30 day FMCSA deadline. This is a level of unprofessionalism only illustrated in the worst companies. They want to prevent their drivers from leaving to better opportunities, so they do NOT CARE ABOUT DRIVERS.
Was just about run over by an empty livestock truck on 20/59 right before the Birmingham airport exit. The truck's can logo was faded, but I could make out trucking company and that it was from West Point, Mississippi. After searching, Royal was the only thing that came up in West Point. I got the trailer's tag number. Apparently from the other reviews, this is not an uncommon thing for royal. I would love to follow up and pursue further investigation into this driver's seemingly malicious, and reckless driving.
I don't work here and wouldn't , see how they park at any truck stop and you will see it is a don't give a damn outfit . Absolutely no pride or respect for their profession .
Owner is a great down to earth guy. Administration do a good job representing the company, but dispatch needs a whole new overhaul! Very rude and unprofessional. Seem like everyone including teams was complaining about miles except flatbed division. Being that West Point is the home terminal they could invest more on the gravel dusty parking lot
I drove for Royal over 20 years best job I ever had.Best people in the world. The owner and the intire staff treated me like FAMILY and you can't fool ne over 20 years.mabey it's rhe way you perceive someone but the truth is if you're persistent about becoming a great truck driver and having a real trucking carree then there's no place better than Royal.
Worst company ever to exist , bad drivers horrible customer service this place and a trash pit are perfectly equal to each other
The worst driver almost killed mi w0 min. Earlier at il I 70 mm 16
Don't know where they get their drivers but they are horrible. Examples: driving 10 miles under the limit and driving across the white lines and center line of the road. Hire better drivers before they kill someone...
on 6-11-14 while in the pilot truck stop the driver that was pulling trailor 1002 seems to think that he has the right of way instead of pedestrians . Almost ran me over in his hurry to park or what ever he was doing. Last time I checked a pedestrian always has the right of way no matter what. But perhaps Royal trucking doesn't care how safe their drivers are .I was not very impressed with wht I saw on top of that he was driving way to fast in a parking lot.
Worked with Tim on a shipment from PA- AL and he had great communication and delivered on time! I will definitely be working with him again! :)
Please tell the driver of truck 2373 driving through Fargo, ND about 5pm, Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 that he/she does not own the road. In the interest of lessening the effect of congested traffic it is best to keep two lanes and take turns at the point of merging into one. Drivers like this should not have a license and give truckers a bad name.
Their drivers are not professionals at all. Very dangerous. I guess if you have a bad driving record and can't get hired with other companies go here..they'll hire the dumbest of drivers.!!
Very unprofessional. Trucker almost hit a family crossing the street with a child. West Palm Beach Florida corner of Congress Ave and Mlk Blvd. Sad
Minding my own business on the road the otherday when an 18 wheeler cut me off doing 68 mph. After passing him he flipped me off then started flashing his lights and turned on his blinker to pull over. After pulling over and showing him my badge he then took off. Not a good way to do business Royal Trucking!
If your looking to get into trucking I couldn t think of a better place to start. 1000x better then any mega carrier. Here training isn t team driving. You ll be treated like a human being they have the same simulator the mega carriers do, equipment is new and very well maintained, mechanics are all top notch and extremely hard working a few of the best mechanics I ve ever met. Owner is very good people, safety is excellent, training department is excellent. Dave and Hope are both really good people. They do live up to and exceed their motto of Driver First. Dispatch for experienced drivers tho is definitely in need of a overhaul. That said it s a great company. Owner will go out of his way for you. My time here overall was great. I absolutely would recommend Royal to anyone.
When they say Drivers 1st. They really mean it. You're not known by a truck number you are known as a person. Their paypackage is better than most and I would recommend Royal to anyone'.
