Dry, bland and expensive! My son wanted chicken and cornbread to go. I was directed to order at the bar. Waited about 20 mins. When my 11yr old son stopped over to ask when it would be ready I was told he needed to move away from the bar or they would loose their liquor license. My son said the chicken was dry and a bit burnt and the cornbread was bland. For $9.25 for one piece of chicken and one piece of cornbread you would think it would be good....and quick? I am waiting to catch a flight.
I begrudge the $3 tip I left.

Food is ok but service was pretty bad. Order was delayed and then they mentioned the salmon was not available. Waitress was not very nice and not organized. Sounds like they have a major issue in organization and efficiency

Don't order or eat here unless you are starving, and you don't have 5 minutes to walk to terminal 2. As others point out- this is the only actual 'sit down' food source in Terminal 1. The tables were full, mostly of people who appeared to have finished eating, but were just hanging out at the tables.

I ordered from the very limited 'To Go' window menu.

Nobody was in line. There wasn't a chef visible in the kitchen, and one employee seemed bored at the register. No 'welcome', no smile, no eye contact. Despite these warning signs, I ordered the Chicken & Waffles ($16 for 2 peices of chicken). I paid, asked for my receipt. I waited near the register- and when the cashier called me- twice- I walked up and she handed me a flimsy paper clamshell.

After walking to my gate area, settling my luggage (balancing on my laptop bag, as there are no tables or surfaces to sit at and eat in terminal 1) I opened the box, and decided how I'd go about eating the contents.

It was not what I ordered- but a pile of shredded meat with some sauce squirted on the top, with a bun crown set aside. The heel of the bun was so soggy and wet, that the sandwich could not be lifted. Only when I was frustrated trying to cut into a soggy, saucy mess ... did I think to myself "who the hell would order this or eat it?" Ding! Wait, so I ordered Chicken and Waffles... I checked my receipt- clearly says Chicken and Waffles.

Bottom line: I wanted to write a review and give one or maybe two stars. After reading all of the other one star reviews, I decided to add to them.

Clearly this place preys upon passengers who either don't know better or are desperate.

How can you screw up the only order for the only person who is at your restaurant? Seriously?

Dine elsewhere.

Not interested in eating. Only drinking. And they certainly can provide that service at 6:30 in the morning.

Let's not mistake anything here: this is a bar at an airport. There are noooo $3 bud lights here.
But the taps are perfectly diverse. 6 Bay Area brews and only 2 are IPAs (whaaaat?)

Bartenders are friendly. Vibe is chill. Perfect pre-flight bar for drinking.

Fast and good food - for an airport venue

Fast and good food - for an airport venue

Enjoyed the Cobb salad with a slightly healthier option of a lemon vinegarette instead of blue cheese. Tasty grilled chicken, surprisingly good greens and avocado. Maybe the bacon could have been a tiny bit crisper.

My wife and I were on our way to Jamaica for vacation,. We had dinner at Farmerbrown before boarding our flight. My wife ordered a hamburger well done. The hamburger was served raw in the middle. My wife instead of sending it back ate it anyway. Durring our flight she got violently I'll, throwing up several times before she felt better.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It was absolutely horrible. I got the vegetarian option which as others stated was quite literally random steamed vegetables on a bun. It was repulsive. My meal cost $23 dollars and I ended up going to the kiosk across from the restaurant and buying a second dinner. I wouldn t eat here again if it was the last restaurant on earth.

GARBAGE AT IT'S FINEST! Ordered a shrimp po boy with no salt on my fries to go. Needless to say I will never eat at this location again. Order was ready in 3 minutes. Amazing...fries were cold, salty and greasy. The shrimp po boy was cold, burned shrimp. $18.50 plus an airport fee. NO INTEGRITY! WHAT CHEF/COOK ALLOWS THAT TO LEAVE A KITCHEN. INSPECT YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RESTSURANT!

Still one of the most memorable meals I ve ever had. Chicken and cornbread. So simple and so extra. Breakfast too. I miss the tenderloin district location, but good to know I can get it on a through flight. I m guessing most poor reviews have more to do with airport angst than an actual food experience.

High cost for what I thought was mediocre food. Of the few options for lunch in the terminal, I feel like I made a poor choice dropping in here while waiting for my flight. The service was good and wait was minimal, but the taste/quality of the food was lacking.

Burgers are awful they are pre cooked and dry. They come out fast and not very good. Not what I expect for a 17.50 burger. The food runner was rude to anyone he brought food to that had a request. Server did the best he could with what he was working with. My thought is stop somewhere on your way if you want full service and you are going to be using term 1 at sfo!

First of all, the food was incredibly sub-par...

Also, I ordered a Kentucky coffee, but they ran out of whipped cream, which I didn t know that until the server brought it out. I was given a cup of boozy coffee and a small vessel of half and half...wth?!

You re supposed to drink the coffee with the whipped cream. I can t believe their bartender/bar manager thought that serving that dross was acceptable.

Unfortunately it is one of the limited dining options in terminal 1 concourse C. Stay away if you can...

WARNING don't go here thinking your experience will be different. What your looking at it is the Southern fried chicken for 21$ !!! I took a bite before I posted to make sure it was the best 2 piece of chicken for 21$ but sadly no it had no taste. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe this place please don't give this place business the Mac and cheese was bland. We ordered wings which had a terrible bbq sauce and parts of the wings were cold. You have been warned!

The bar and the wait staff was great.

The bar and the wait staff was great.

But asked for chicken strips without waffles (assuming to pay full price) and the line cook started swearing at me.

Without knowing the other line cooks, I don't want to get them in trouble, this one in particular was extremely upset. He looked straight at me and shook his head. Then continued to stars swear.

It's unfortunate because the chicken was delicious, but nobody wants to be treated that way at 9am.

How to enjoy your meal here:
1. Enjoy standing in line
2. Sit where your told or be battle ready if you ask to sit at an interior table (regardless of vacancies)
3. Need no refills
4. Low food expectations
5. Request your ticket early
6. Desire no additional items, ie butter for cornbread

Worst service on the planet. 20 people waiting on a host to seat them that never appeared even after I asked for someone, easily 20 minutes. Once seated the order was wrong twice and we saw our waiter 1 time. Do not come if you are pressed for time.

I rarely write low star reviews, but the experience I had here was startingly dreadful.

The server I had basically harassed me to order more food three times, and kept giving me sidelong glances as if I were wasting his time.

The airport is stressful enough--step off, man! Let a patron drink in peace.

I'd avoid this place if possible, but unfortunately, the Delta terminal is pretty sparse.

Garbage. Supposed to close at 11pm, I walked in to grab a drink at the bar before 9:30 and hear the two waiters yell they're already closed, even though the bar was still lined with people. Apparently it would have been too much for them to have to serve one more drink an hour and a half before actual closing.

Was just going to get beer but decided 2 get pulled pork sandwich 2 go. Pricey 17.50 for sandwich and when asked if we cld substitute coleslaw was charged ADDTL. $2 + tax. Usually don't punish server (Nathan) but he didn't mention AND was training another server. Wldve kept coleslaw! Sandwich was slimy /wet on bottom when eaten on plane w/i 1/2 hour. $36 w/ minimal tip too expensive beer and esp. entrees!

Looks fancy place but isn't really good at all!
Overpriced menu, Service wasn't friendly.
If you are a vegetarian, this is definitely not a place for you. I don't get it how could a restaurant not be considerate of vegan or vegetarian customers?
I ordered a vegetarian sandwich burger which turns out to be literally grilled slices of carrots and zucchini placed inside a bun! seriously? whosoever came up with this sandwich needs to go back to a cookery class to learn how to cook real food.
After this i had to go to other airport food kiosks which had far better things to eat and priced much better too!

Spent $50 for a breakfast sandwich, an Irish coffee, and a mimosa. ONE tiny, subpar breakfast sandwich.

What a rip off. You're better off skipping this place altogether and getting a sandwich at the sandwich bar at the end of the terminal.

Although I hold airport fare to a particularly low standard, this was by far one of the poorest experiences I ve had. Fried chicken was flavorless, as was the slaw and Mac. Coming from a place advertising a speciality in soul food , this is essentially an insult.

Must be easy operating the only restaurant in the terminal where people are essentially forced to eat there. Cant believe SFO allows that. It was over crowded at a really slow time, we had to wait a while for a table. Ordered the $18 basic hamburger (really?!), they didn't have any. The food was definitely not worth it. Just grab some chips from the store next door, save your $40

Portion sizes are hilariously small even for airport restaurants (trust me I am a frequent flyer with over 100K miles/year). The cajun potatoes were a joke! No cajun at all. Fir the price thwy are charging, atleast provide regular silverware.. I had one plastic fork and one metal knife?! And coffee was served in a paper cup?! It was precooked and tasteless. I don't know if I have ever been this disappointed in a breakfast.

Dear Farmer Brown,

Dear Farmer Brown,
I've tried to make it work, really I have, but despite you being the only full service restaurant in Terminal 1, you are so consistently awful that I'm not going to be able to spend my money here again. Ever. On each of my four visits your waitstaff has ignored me and any party around me with monastic dedication. You are always out of something I try to order. You have given me the wrong order 2 of 4 times, and overcharged me once (on your already astonishingly overpriced fare). The only reason you failed to err in my last visit was because you claimed to be closed 5 minutes before the clock showed you were and refused to serve me. I'm a patient person, but wow... you did it. You found my line and crossed it. B-bye, Farmer Brown.

Honestly, not worth it. The service sucks and the food is so expensive but not good quality. My food was not fresh pretty sure it was just sitting under the warmer. The server had very little knowledge of the menu. Can t tell you who my server was considering she never stated it or tended to me; according to her badge it s Tsang. She just took my order and left. Pro: none dairy cheese
Overall, Save your time and money. There s another place down the walkway by gate 48 that might be better.

This place is way overpriced for mediocre food. The burger I ordered was supposed to be well done, but it came out medium, if that. My husband got the fried chicken po'boi, and said the chicken was tasteless. He said he could really only taste the lettuce and tomato. The food did come quickly, but it took a while to get the burger fixed and to get the check. They also never refilled our drinks, and we only had water. You are better off spending your $45 somewhere else.

This was very disappointing. The previous restaurant in this location was always a great place to get a bowl of clam chowder in a sourdough bowl with a nice glass of anchor steam beer. I had the fried chicken and waffles. The chicken seemed to be frozen chicken breasts with a bread coating with no spice. I found myself wishing for McDonald's buttermilk tenders or KFC which would have been a great improvement over this. Guess I will have to bring a sub sandwich or buy a meal on the plane when flying Delta out of SFO. A waste of $20.

Had a veggie po boy and loved it. It came with fries and the meal was so delicious. Service was great and the enthusiastic servers keep the place lively and clean.

I forgot my boarding pass at this place and returned to grab it within 30 seconds - my server went through three cans of paper trash to get it to me - so thankful for it.

Keep up the great service folks. :)

We stood at the podium waiting to be seated for about ten mins. When Ms. Nancy Gonzales finally did decide to come over she and the two other gentleman with her never acknowledged us. They continued to have their own conversation for 5-8 minutes before even saying hello. By this point a small line has formed with no one getting so much as a head nod. When Nancy finally decided to give my party the time of day she told us it would be another five minutes yet still didn t acknowledge anyone else in the line. Another woman had to physically come up and ask about the status of the wait.

The food was fine but the service was deplorable.

Unfortunately, it seems like it is the only sit down restaurant in Delta's Terminal 1 section, which means that they can do whatever they want.

My suggestion: go elsewhere if you have the time. It was the worst airport meal I have ever had.

The baby back ribs had no sauce, cold, and no coleslaw.
The kids mac & cheese was cold and super small. The side is bigger and CHEAPER than the kids' version.

The service was bad, and I was considering on tipping a penny. He never asked how the meal was, and my glass of water was empty. Additionally, I felt like he was trying to up-sell everything to me. Also when I asked for suggestions, it felt like he always went with the more expensive options, the ribs was his suggestion, and it was the worst ribs I have ever had.

Airport after security segment. Ample seating. Comfortable, contemporary digs. Full bar. Bar area open seating. Good beer selection on tap. The food had quality, fresh ingredients. The smoked bacon in the cobb salad was ample and flavorful. Had a Bulliet rye manhattan up and it was properly done. Prices par for the segment. Portions par. A great place to relax on a long layover.

Probably one of the best breakfast I have had at an airport.

I'll be honest, I have never tried chicken and waffles as I never understood that combination but OMG I have been missing out.

The chicken was perfect! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and the waffle was very light, puffy and sweet. The best part was the cornbread and the homemade syrup. To die for!! Now that I'm back in Toronto, I don't know where to go to satisfy my southern cravings.

On the expensive side, but good. My wife had the chicken salad and wasn't too impressed, but she was hungry and ate it all. I had the burger with bacon and avocado, it was cooked right, and all and all, was very tasty, but for the added cost of the avocado and bacon, the burger with fries and Jalapeno Coleslaw was over 20 bucks. I do have to admit that it was the best Coleslaw I've had. Salad and a burger, tea, and two beers was a bit over $70 with tip.

Ordered a Caesar with grilled chicken, received a Caesar with fried chicken. We were already on a tight timeline so no time to send back. By no means a tableside prepared Caesar at Carbone (haha), but somewhat serviceable if a little bland. Jalapeno cole slaw was better. That sweet jalapeno sauce they have at every table -- excellent! Surprisingly friendly and prompt service for an airport restaurant. Overall fine, may return.
