When it comes to mountain biking, there is "in shape" and then there is "in Beaver Dam shape." Fun place... be really for a a good cardio workout... especially on the south loop.

I had an amazing time here. I never thought I would swin in a lake but I'm so glad I did. It's great to bring all your water toys and chill all day.

2 Nice beaches with grills. very good boat ramps with plenty of parking. nice camping...

Great place to swim, have a cookout, kayak, or just hang out with friends. All the times I've been here the water has been warm.

Big parking lot and lots of shelters to have picnics.

Good recreation area abs good place to hangout in summers and easily accessible too. Lots of paid parking available. Gets busy on weekends in summer.

Showers at hike-in campground are a barely tolerable temp, probably great in summer, but a miserable experience in cold weather.

There are many trails around falls lake, with different trail heads located at the various recreational areas. You can hike, fish, swim, picnic, and boat here. Kids can earn a junior ranger patch, check with the visitor center about that. Something for everyone.

We Hit Beaver Damn area for short hike and picnic with the kids. Lake access for kayak or other floating things. Mountain bike trails here as well. Lots to do for a small entry fee.

Large spots, good privacy, quiet, Clean and level, will recommend for family camping

Docks have been updated. Good parking and glad to see when the pay months show up. Keeps a lot of folks away and less noobs at the ramp.

It is a good place to go for a swim and to get a little distracted and also to roast the grilled carnitas.

Inexpensive place to pull your trailer in or pitch a tent. Beautiful beach.

Close to Durham and Raleigh, Creedmoor and Butner

Great place to go if you just want to get out & paddle around a little. Was going to put in at the hwy 50 boat launch, but the line was too long to get in. It was well worth the $7 entrance fee, and no big boats.

Well kept. Clean picnic areas. Great fishing for kids from shore.

Love this lake but people leave their trash everywhere and don t clean up after themselves. Overall its a great lake and would recommend.

The lake was very clean. We had a great time it only cost $5 to get in

Amazing went the day after memorial day, place was clean, and perfect for a in town get away! And park staff was really friendly!

Beautiful local place. We grilled and were near to the rest rooms and water.

Peaceful and beautiful, clean and good fishing. If you want that experience just walk off the beaten path and you take it from there. Try putting your phone down as well. That helps

Not impressed with RV sites. Too far off the lake. Super steep trails to fishing piers.

We rented a covered space for a potluck barbecue and it was great. The grounds were well-maintained, there were plenty of picnic tables for everyone and we all had a great time.

Falls lake provides an excellent area for all types of single, couple, and family outdoor activities. There are camping locations, boat ramps, swim areas, amenities, and picking trails.

So many great access points on the lake. Beaver Dam is especially nice for kayaks and canoes since they don't allow gasoline engines on that section of lake. All State Park Access points have an entrance fee from late Spring to early Fall

Great lake with awesome little park centers all around it that you can go to and enjoy maybe a date or a just a picnic, maybe some fishing, etc.

Surprised to find this swim beach, boat launch, hiking trails, and small playground all in one spot. I am not sure if there is a regular admission fee as we drove past the closed booth at the entrance. However, we had a nice evening visit and enjoyed the park and its amenities. We will be back with canoes and to walk the dogs soon!

Super nice and well kept campground. Staff always patrols so you feel safe. The campground hosts were nice and available for questions. Would totally go back!

I love the Shinleaf Recreation area at Falls Lake. It's just minutes away from my home, beautiful setting, great fishing, everything you could ask for in local outdoor excursion!

Love love this place! Its serene, beautiful and simply amazing to just relax and take a walk. The water has a great shade of blue. I wish they would start kayaking here!

Wonderful experience! I loved the setup they had, and the bathrooms were weirdly spectacular (for park bathrooms at least)

Rolling view marina seems like a nice place kayaker and canoe rentals

A gem of a place, well protected from over-fishing and very easily accessible with 7 boat ramps and designated no-gas and campground areas.

This place has great little secluded beaches. Very pretty.

It was really awesome the only problem was the broken glass everywhere.

Easy walking trail, great swimming, clean beach and change rooms. We come here almost every day in the summer .

Route to the lake itself will start setting up expectations!!! Destination won't disappoint us... Perfect getaway. Good for camping, swimming, boating and walking

Lovely campground and area... good for water recreation. Electric and very good drinking water. Dump station at entrance.
