Great spot. Nice being on the water with plenty of things to do.

I love going to this lake, very enjoyable, but I will say watch out of the sand for dog poop. There has been somepeople bringing there dogs out on the sand.

No matter what the activity, you will have fun here! I have been hiking,walking, cycling, and more in this area! It is a great place. I have done a few service projects here an I have never been disappointed!

Went wakeboarding for the first time, sorest I've ever been in my life. Monday morning was dead. Perfect time to go

One of the cleanest and we'll kept parks I've been to. Lots of different areas to camp and drop a boat or kayak in.

We are visiting off season so pls keep that in mind. Over the weekend the camp sites were packed, the staff were very helpful. The bathhouse was well maintained and kept clean and the trash cans outside were always emptied throughout the day. Although there were many people visiting, the beach we went visited was not crowed at all. The beach and surrounding were just beautiful. The lake water felt too warm, but colder as you swam further out. We stayed in section C which had no electricity or water...we wanted to rough it. I would highly recommend this park to anyone who wants a great family vacation on a budget or not.

If you have music water and food, this Falls Lake State Recreational park is the best

Stayed at Shinleaf group camping area. Was a great experience. Beautiful views with access to fishing and canoeing on the lake and plenty of hiking available. Great place to camp, highly recommend. Camped in excess of 25 people with relative ease at our site.

Great convenience for camping with plenty of resources near. Affordable.

Beaver Dam park is great because it is part of Falls Lake, but no power boats. This allows smooth and safe kayaking. Great 90 minutes of paddling. Boat launch and beach are first class. Birding is very good. Osprey, eagles, kingfishers, and one less nut hatch (automobile caused)

Beautiful lake and area. RV camping was very nice, roomy, clean firepit. Showers were clean but a little tight. Overall wonderful experience

A true local treasure. Wonderful amenities for the outdoor enthusiast. Went to Beaver Dam Park. Nice to fish on the part of the lake where gas powered boats are not permitted. Decent shore-line fishing. Has hiking trails, mountain bike trails, kayak launch, picnic spaces and shelters, and a fishing pier. No camping.

Nice and peaceful, nice breeze, we even had a heron to swimming by. Beautiful.

Very nice campground. The sites are large, wooded and spread out. The bathroom facilities were clean, cleaned four times a day. We will def come back.

Loved the walk to camp sites. Hiking trails and lake all close by. We hiked through and saw group camp site that were very spacious. Our camp site was cute and close to bathrooms with showers.

This place is awesome . It's a great place to hike. But I don't suggest to use the HUGE map that they lay out. No joke that map is bigger than a full grown gray whale. I don't like to go to school but according to my research that map is apparently 12 feet more than a huge whale.

My family had a great camping weekend at falls lake . Place is clean and well patrolled,so we always felt safe camp sites have plenty of room.

Husband and 1 kid caught 3 fish today at Beaver Dam area and all 5 of us with dog did the Foxtrot Trail. Had it to ourselves except for the 3 toads, 1 lizard and a fawn. Not crowded a little busy in spots around the lake. Bathrooms clean and stocked.

Really nice boat launch and parking lot! The restrooms they have there at the ramp are actually very well-kept and clean!

There is so much to do here. This is a beautiful area.

Park rangers will lock you in if you aren t out of the park by closing time.

Gorgeous little picnic spot, grills at every pad, picnic benches and all that. Awesome place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It's common practice for campgrounds to offer security which includes locking the gates after hours. Imagine having headlights beam into your tent all hours of the night or people walking through the campground (probably talking while campers are trying to sleep). We personally haven't camped at this State park yet and have only went during the day, but it's good to know they have curfews and security in mind to keep visitors safe and comfortable. We look forward to camping there in the future.

Beautiful lake, plenty of camping sites and lots to do!

Love love this place. Great for a family day out. If you visit Sandling beach make sure to to take meat etc for bbq by the lake. There are grills provided you just need to bring your food and coal etc.

My friends and I went camping at Holly Point over the weekend and had a blast. We were able to reserve two tent sites that were next to each other and had great views of the lake. Both sites had fire pits and picnic tables. If you live in the Raleigh-Durham area, I would absolutely recommend visiting the park for a quick, easy weekend getaway.

Good beach like lake. Swimming and boatings are all around. There are many tables for picnic and grills. Nice place to retreat.

Great time fishing even if you don't catch anything.

Pretty nice place for hiking or for a hot summer to get on the water. I saw many people go for kayaks, or paddle boarding. They do charge 7 dollars for entering though but it's pretty nice. They also have bathrooms for you to change and they have showers. Overall enjoyed it.

The small beach on the river front is very good and it has ample of space for other activities.

Falls lake is an amazing recreation area. We've been here several times, shout out Loop B woot woot..clean bath houses, great are swimming and boating,clean camp sites and great folks. Fishing pier at loop b is nice as well though tbh we've never caught a fish there, if you catfish you'll have luck but its not great for anything else unless you bring your boat as well. Jet skis can be launched and the ridden to your loop and moored for daily fun close to your camp site.

Had the best time here today fishing! We caught a lot of fish, none were very big though! Was a very beautiful day, and a very relaxing place to go! I recommend it to anyone trying to get away for the day, and looking to put a line in the water!

Great place to go if you just want to get out & paddle around a little.It was well worth the $7 entrance fee, and no big boats.Fantastic place. I recommend taking your family here.I must say family friendly environment.

Absolutely a great place for the family or family reunions. Enjoyed everything.

Always have a great time when I'm here. My kids love it. It's almost like u r at the beach. You can grill out there. They have a playground area for kids and of course the lake. And the view is beautiful.

Great for groups and fun weekend camping trip close to home.

Went camping for BoyScouts and had a great time. Our campsite was clean when we arrived and the bathrooms with showers were evenly spread out among the whole recreational area.
