We love camping here! First off, the sites are nice and big..not stacked on top of each other! Secondly, they're beautiful! I can't say enough about the beauty of this place, especially in the fall! The Rangers and Maintenance keep it spotless and are so courteous and helpful! There really are no negatives for us about Falls Lake. We usually stay in Rolling View, but we've also stayed in Holly Point and they're both just wonderful!

Beautiful lake.

Beautiful lake.
Wish the parks were free however, fee to launch a boat as opposed to the Duke chain of lakes

There's always wildlife to be seen, families and people enjoying the area in general. It's always clean and absent if trash and the facilities are clean. Most importantly the fishing is pretty good!!!

Fun

Really enjoyed the campsite. Plenty of room between campsites, and nice bath house. Hike-in sites are a ways off the parking lot, but that's ok. I wish they could increase parking passes to more than 2 cars considering the limit of campers/site is 6.

I rode the mountain bike trails and they are pretty good. It is mostly short up and down sections with a few drops. Lots of roots but not many rocks. This is one of those places where your legs will get a good workout.

Docks are not well maintained, especially Route 50 which charges admission yet their docks create boat damage and accidents because they docks have exposed metal insteas of boat protective material. Been going on for years

Love this place. Several different campgrounds, boat launches, various swimming beaches. Great place to visit and/or camp when the weather's nice. Really close to Raleigh so it is an easy weekend getaway.

That particular area of falls lake is only open to canoes and smaller non-motored boats which is really nice for a lake of that size in the south. I have been here a few times and it's usually an enjoyable experience.

The campsite was sufficient. We were at holly pointe #113. I loved how the cars were right there with you im the driveway. I loved how the bathhouse was right across from me. There was a water pump at the end of our driveway that was very convenient when we needed to wash dishes or put the fires out. We were very close to the playground which was great. The lake was beautiful but we couldn't get in the water because it was closed. That was a bummer because it was hot. The trail walk was horrible tho. There was no rhyme or reason. It was hard to follow because the trail blended in with the regular ground. Not enough signs to say go this way. We just ended up giving up. It was no longer fun. Just frustrating. Then there were things that couldn't be controlled like being shot at by big acorns throughout the day non stop. The loud airplanes flying over your head at night. & a million gazillion daddy long legs that have taken over. They were everywhere. But hey that's their home. We're the visitors. But all im all it was a nice 1st experience.

Falls Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes you'll ever see. It is also a trophy bass lake, favored by the tournaments every year. In Autumn, the mix of hardwoods and evergreens paints a heavenly picture. The park is always maintained well by the staff and the boat launches are just right, with any water level. Love this place.

We stayed in Site 26 on Holly Ridge. Always a good time. Nice walking trails. Lake is busy on weekends but not on Monday. I highly recommend. Our 2nd time and we will be back for a 3rd.

Great place for kids, adults, water activities, and peaceful camping! We spent the July weekend in the Rolling View section (B53) and never even ventured to other areas of the larger park, as we had plenty to occupy us right near our campsite. We swam, fished (free on July 4 only, licensed otherwise) hiked a few short trails, built a bonfire with magic colors, and even had our two water-cautious dogs swimming with us! It's alcohol-free, very quiet with large (many shaded) sites. Lots of friendly kids around, and firewood for sale onsite. I'd give it 5 stars if it had either 50amp service or sewer hookups at the campsites (or both!) The wastewater dump site is very near and easily accessible, but you still have to move or use a hauler. There's no bait sold onsite, so visit the nearby marina or other bait stores first, if you're fishing. The water was very warm, with only catfish biting (worms) near shore. There's a small playground, and the bath house was well kept, though the shower plumbing was inconsistent between hot and cold directions! (Test the shower water temp first for younger folk!) All in all a nice place for a camping getaway!

The group sites are nice, with lots of seating, large campfire rings, a good number of tables, and some of them have multiple large charcoal grills. Finding level ground for a large number of tents is the only challenge.

Perfect family/ friends place. They have huge area for parking, playing. Park even have some area reserved for swimming. You can even camp here. There are multiple boat unloading area. I visited this place in early spring so it was little chillu and water was cold too. But I am pretty sure this place will be totally enjoyable in Summer days. I always loved lake Jordon, may be this can be an option to Lake Jordon

Such a peaceful place. There is plenty of parking, a changing house, a play ground, and a covered eating area. This is a perfect place to take some little ones and not feel like you need them tied to a leash. My only negative is that, depending on time of year and day of week, it does cost to get in. Well worth it!
