Love the campsites, but bathrooms need much improvement. Water from showers runs all over the floor, sink in ladies room has been leaking for 2 years! You get clothes wet when getting dressed. Floors are not clean. It is a big open place, great for kids & walking.

Beautiful campground, nice rangers and other employees. Wish lots were just a tad more level.

Seven bucks to park? What am I paying taxes for? I guess the government wants to keep poor people out?

The sites were beautiful and had a great set up. However, while there, planes constantly flew low, overhead.

Wonderful park with excellent playgrounds and tables for group get togethers. Great local hiking trails and a field to play sport related activities.

Great inexpensive fun close bye manmade beach getaway.

No enforcement of pets on the beach while I watched a dog relieve himself and the owner had no interest in picking up after the dog.

Not too crowded. Beaches were closed due to CoVid-19. But people were out on the grass sunning. Lots of kayaks and paddle boarders.

Great state park to camp at. Secluded camp sites in a pretty quiet area. Plenty of areas to swim, bike ride and hiking trails.

Clean and spaces are ample. Loved the paddleboarding.

Very loud place, mosquitoes will carry you away.
Has turned into a place of Hispanic music...and illegals...sadly my wife and i were run off...

Great place to take the family. Like that the rv sites were spaced out quite a bit. Nice swimming area and nice trails.

It is a good place to de-stress, but they should let people fish without a license, because only seeing others fish is very boring. I think they let them fish without a fishing license

If you are just trying to escape the city, this is probably the place for you. If you are already from a rural area, I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you want to camp near the city

There was an awful lot of noise pollution. Cars from the road just outside the campground, jets from RDU, and frequent traffic inside the campground.

Falls lake is a very nice lake. I have a kayak and found it impossible to avoid the wake of boats because of how narrow it is. But, there are some very nice coves off the main channel that offer great paddling.

There is also a trail that goes between the two sides of the campground. It took about 25 mins, or so, to hike and there are signs that have the species of some of the trees (many need to be repaired).

All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Never ever go during a holiday. And always make sure to wash and scrub your skin every day before calling it a day. Every member of my group who didnt do this now covered head to toe in what looks like hives. There are parasites in the lake people! Dont swallow it and wash yourself! The staff here is in no shape to handle holidays. Everyone was running around like crazy and 15 year old kids running the toll booth. If you needed help with something during a holiday is not when your gonna get it. We paid for an electric sight to get camp set up just to find we have no electric. We did not get any money back the kids at the front said "what do you expect your outside camping there are gonna be problems we dont give refunds".
I wonder if they knew they were selling a non working electric sight at electric sight price knowing they dont give refunds.

We had a beautiful day on the lake. Picnic lunch on a lovely sand beach. The ramps and parking space are all good. Just don't take out at 3pm. All the fishermen were leaving then!#

Great hiking trails for the family. Where memories are made.

It is a great place for camping. It is a water recreational park rather than state park. The trails are poorly marked however the emphasis is water recreation. Staff is super helpful.

It was a great time, we stayed 3 hours and the lake was a.great way to cool off on a hot day

Beautiful park with a few small trails, campgrounds, and beach like lake swimming spot. My son enjoys playing in the sand and jumping in the water for a bit.

We had a great day boating as a family. I highly recommend as lots of space, smooth water, lots of areas to explore!

Awesome place to go RVing. Lots are spacious and private.

Beautiful area for picnics, gatherings, and spontaneous sporting events. The fields and lake were huge. The water of the lake is very brown, but isn t absolutely disgusting. Great jumping cliffs with deep landing zones, super awesome for adventures. I would recommend this spot to anybody, but make sure to pack Sunscreen!!!!!

My family and I love it here! The restrooms are always extremely clean. And there is always a ranger driving around checking on things and making sure nobody needs anything. The water seems to also be cleaner than the water from other rivers and lakes.

Very nice lake well maintained bathhouse a lil dated but not nothing to ruin the time! Love the camping the pads was actually a decent size and held all of our equipment!

Really enjoyed my visit here and can't wait to go back. Very nice facilities with many recreational activities to choose from. Hiking, biking, camping, boating, swimming. Well.worth the trip. (Life's Short, Take a Hike)

Tent camped on a RV site so we could have hookups. Very nice place. One of my favorite campgrounds so far.

We take our boat here every weekend in the summer. Less chaotic then Lake Jordan. Water is shallow so the lake water is always warm.

Favorite place for swimming, fishing, camping and picnics.

It's a great place to do activities and camp! I would highly recommend this place for families with children!

Great lake just watch out for wake boats who cant follow common sense

Had a blast with fam and friends. The only problem was no power at #11 and we were not told in advance. Brought inflater for all rafts, balls, and boats that was electric. Thank goodness we met some great people who let us use their cigarette lighter inflater. But we had a ball!!

Awesome. Spacious sites. Well maintained. Quiet and relaxing Beats subdivision style camping by a long shot. Great trails to experience, just not many of them. Not an issue though. Very relaxing.

Awesome time on the reservoir. Non residential with tons of shoreline to stop for a bite.

The area is beautiful and the site has good amenities

Nice, wooded campsites. Our site was down a long driveway and was very private. Hookups are water and electric, and were in good repair. Each site has a good level, graveled area with a picnic table. The dump station was in good condition. Trash dumpsters and trash cans are available. The bathrooms and shower facilities were clean and in good repair. We weren't there to boat, but noticed there is a Marina with gas available.

Love kayaking here. Perfect spot to put in adjacent to boat ramps at Barton's Creek. Plenty opportunity to either embrace boat waves or avoid it altogether. Lots of neat little shoreline spots.
