Fairmont Le Montreux Palace Review

Nice decor and very convenient location, but the rooms were quite small for the price.

WIthout a doubt the best hotel in Montreux! Stunning view (really recommend a lake-view, which most rooms are)

The hotel is a famous chain in Montreux, across the road is the embankment, in front of which is a park with statues of famous visitors of the hotel guests, including famous musicians and even Nabokov himself, who lived in this hotel during the nth time and the best years of a very difficult life of a writer)))

I was very excited to stay at this property before my stay. However my experience was quite disappointing. The service at the property is quite sub standard. There is a some staff at the property who are very accommodating and courteous but we had a lot of encounters which are just unacceptable at such a luxurious property by Fairmont. The housekeeping staff was clumsy, having left a cleaning cloth in the room one time and left a weighing scale on the WC the other time. The concierge was keen to divert me to another member of the staff like the reception or bell desk who did not have enough information. When I spoke to the concierge later, he was arrogant and hasty in his tone and manner. The person who took the in room dining order did not want to take any responsibility for the order time and simply put it on the chefs who will prepare it. He claimed that he is only taking the order and cannot advise regarding its delivery. The staff at MPs bar and grill in the hotel was very nice but the food was average. Would suggest people to look at the relais and Chateux property Victoria in Montreux although location is not great. Or better yet, in case it is an option, go to Vevey instead. Terrible waste of a beautiful property.

There is nothing wrong with the hotel. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was excellent and the building a dream. Only the spa is very disappointing. 1. Guests block the sun loungers with their towels (Mallorca?). 2. The Jacuzzi is used as a seat pan for discussion and makes it impossible for other guests to use it. 3. It's too loud and you feel like you're in a public swimming pool. 4. Also in the spa area it is too loud and you can recover bad. 5. Chop more to hang the bathrobes.
For a 5 * hotel I wished for a spa with more class, guests who behave themselves and staff who looked after the rules. One can and should also show the guests how to behave accordingly.

42 CHF (=dollars)/a day for the parking is way too expensive when you pay this much for a room, there's no way to pay less its awful

I love this hotel is my favorite when I arrive in Montreux, excellent rooms with spectacular views of Mont Blanc, a spectacular breakfast for all kinds of tastes. Very well located allows you to take walks on the lake or on the main street in the shops. Your Spa is magnificent.

5 star hotel so excellent service as you would expect from such a fine establishments. Breakfast buffet is delicious and vast. Too bad spa was fully booked and didn't get a chance to get a facial.views from room are gorgeous

Amazing place to stay. Great view from the room, not forgetting how good the rooms themselves are. The place has a great restaurant. Their amenities are all also we'll maintained. Had a great stay.

Beautiful location in Montreux, have been here numerous times for drinks, brunch and now a wedding. The hotel itself is stunning, but quite pricey. Staff are, for the most part, very friendly and accomodating as you would expect for a hotel of this calibre.

The design of this palace does not correspond to my ancestors despite these performances beating all competition in terms of price, especially on the rise

Beautiful and large room redone. Swimming pool very beautiful, well equipped spa it just lacks a mixed space ... very nice home with little surprise for parents and children. Short top class

Sunday brunch always so good! Excellent service and choice of gin extended! If you have the means, go for it!

The brunch is amazing! It wad a tad on the expensive side (Chf90 pp), on the other hand, you don't go to the fairmont hoping to save money.

The food selection is endless and super tasty.

Highly recommended if you want to stuff your face with high quality products

Wonderful setting, excellent buffet products, smiling, friendly and professional staff, and I especially appreciated the children's welcome, the place they are given.

It s a great place 5 star hotel but you feel that s you are in a 7 star hotel because of kindness and how the way they treat you and the breakfast is excellent and good taste and everything thing is fresh it s worth to stay the hotel

Service was very poor. Worst 5 star hotel I stayed at. Staff was very unfriendly.

Exceptional service and our room was great. Stay on the Geneva Lake side and get a balcony room. The views are amazing.

The hotel is very nice and seems to be well maintained. The prices are unfortunately not my budget available. Motreux is very lively and pretty. If you are in this beautiful corner of Switzerland, you have found a great corner of Switzerland. It is as everywhere with the Confederates seher, very clean what the consequence of its price.
