Mack Cycle and Fitness Review

Today was my first time purchasing a single item at Mack Cycle and I couldn t be more happy with the way I was treated and the quality of the attention I received. This bike shop was absolutely slammed today with customers when I came to purchase a bike and the attention of the employees was second to none even though they could have easily been annoyed by all the requests I made during the testing of the new bike I was purchasing. All in all I want to thank the staff there today for making me feel content with my purchase and having it ready the same day only within a few hours of me walking inside the store, that s more then many bike shops will ever do for anyone.

Best bike shop around!

For many years I ve taken my personal and work bikes to them and received nothing but excellent service. Ricardo Rix is my main point of contact for everything from purchasing bikes to servicing them & even ordering accessories; ask for him and prepare for the best customer service around.

The entire staff is friendly & knowledgeable too; especially their service techs - just awesome! Their tune ups leave our bikes feeling better than new.

Georgia was my sales person and she was absolutely fantastic! I was looking for an SE Ripper and i had been looking all over the country and seemed like everyone was out of stock. They had the bike i wanted in stock, she texted me a picture of the bike while we were on the phone and emailed me the invoice in minutes! I ordered the bike at 3:15pm and the bike was shipped out by 4pm! She provided me with tracking and was absolutely amazing to work with! I am in New York and my bike will be here Tuesday! Excellent service! We love Georgia!

Nothing but a positive experience at Mack Cycle. I purchased a mountain bike in November after one of the Cannondale demo's at the Virginia Key Trails. I put my bike through the wringer right away. A free 30 day safety check and tune up was included and the service from the mechanic shop was great. The bike has been back for some modifications that I wanted done and the shop prices were fair and the mechanics working on my bike took the time to make sure my bike was ready for whatever I threw at it.

I was referred to him by a friend who also had a great experience, ordered two bikes at 11am and received them by 8pm assembled. He even fixed the flat on my other bike and changed the pedals. I have nothing but great thinks to say about them, buy your bikes from these guys!

After waiting months to be able to get in the store due to COVID, I went to buy the Shimano shoes( worth $425) + a pair of bibs. As I was deciding browsing around the store since it was my first time, the old guy told me I ve already been in the store more than 10 minutes and people were waiting to get in. I was actually less than 10 minutes when he said. The store inside was empty. Only 3 customers inside the big store. Off course I get very upset and leave. NOT even 1 person waiting outside. No line at all besides no one told me I had 10 minutes when I entered. REALLY BAD customer service from the old guy. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !!

After finally convincing my brother to purchase his first road bike, we drove 45 minutes south to Mack Cycle & Fitness. Even though there are other local bike shops closer to where we live, Mack Cycle offers the best customer service in South Florida. I was in need of new cycle shoes, and a friend recommended this place. So glad I followed his advice. I was greeted right away by Pablo, who determined which type of shoe I would need and the right fit. I left with the perfect pair of shoes - they were even on sale, so he wasn't trying to push me into the most expensive pair. While Pablo placed the clips on my shoes, Georgia wrapped up the great service at checkout. Had an amazing experience. I was buying a bike to do a ride to raise awareness for people with disabilities and they helped me out big time, especially Sandy she was amazing.

I started road cycling back in December and wasn't as comfortable or efficient as I thought I should have been. I learned about the Guru fitting method and researched it online and booked an appointment with Rachel and Christopher. After 2 hours of fitting I felt totally different. I feel I have more power and and more comfort. Today I went to get a small adjustment and the service was also excellent. I would this to anyone who is new to the sport or investing in a bike, it could literally save you thousands in upgrade trial an error. Great service by Mack Cycle.

I had a great experience here with Sandra from Mack Cycle. I saw a post for a reconditioned Cannondale Caad8 online and as it looked to be in great shape, I inquired about it and was told that it was available immediately. I drove to their easy to find location and found that all precautions are being taken seriously pertaining to hand sanitizing and wearing of masks also. The folks out front had a warm welcome even though I got there close to closing time and Sandra was a pleasure to talk with. The bike was indeed in excellent reconditioned shape and in addition to my purchase, she included water bottles and an extra inner tube, which I didn't expect! Based on the customer service first and then the variety of bikes I saw in the shop, I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and I highly recommend you check out their Bike Shop if you're in the market for a great bike. Also based on my bike condition their service department I'd wager is top notch!

I was in South Florida from Washington, DC, visiting family when I decided to investigate some entry level road bikes for triathlons. Having never owned a speciality bike I googled bike shops in Miami and Mack Cycles came back with the best reviews. After reading the reviews I decided to swing by the shop with my dad. Mack's met our expectations. The staff was professional and experienced. They educated me on entry level road bikes and never took advantage of my novice experience. They sold me exactly what I needed for my level of experience. I had the bike shipped to Washington, DC and put together at a local bike shop. The tech not only admired the bike but confirmed Mack Cycles sold me the perfect bike. Despite the numerous local bike shops in the DC area I will only buy bikes from Mack. Thanks guy!

I cannot say enough good things about this store. I am extremely happy with the way they treat both me and the cycling community in Miami. For this reason I have bought 3 bikes from them, countless accessories, and exclusively use them for service. Among the things they have done to win my loyalty:
- When taking my bikes for service, they've fixed problems that I didn't ask to be fixed, or was unaware I had.
- The selection is great. Going in the store gives me a feeling similar to the one I had going to ToysR'Us as a child.
- When I was younger, they helped sponsor the university triathlon club that I belonged to
- They have given seed money for the mountain bike trails that I regularly use

I purchased a Cannondale Slate a few weeks back. I made a few modifications to the stock spec to better fit my riding style and the area I live in....................chainrings and cassette mainly. I got it dialed in yesterday and took it out today for the first time. This bike is awesome and a blast to ride. The Slate is fast and turns much tighter than my Colnago road bike. With the addition of this bike I can pare down my collection to just the Cannondale Slate and my Colnago Master X. After today s ride I have the feeling this will be my go to bike for most every day riding. The 40mm tires provided a stable and supple ride. I had the tires pumped to 45psi but will try 5-10lbs less next time out just to see how that feels. I m thinking that with the volume these tires hold I won t loose much speed on the road and will handle the dirt a bit better.

The folks at Mack Cycle & Fitness were easy to work with and the bike made it across the country faster than they had anticipated. I don t know if I ll ever need to purchase another bike but if I do, I would not hesitate buying from Mack.

Fantastic shop - was extremely helpful in talking me through various options, worked with me to find the right bike, and their communication was superb. Probably the easiest time I have ever had buying and shipping a bike. Would go back to them again and again! They work with awesome causes and are passionate about bikes! i don't buy bikes often. currently i have four, one of which i assembled 37 years ago, another gifted to me in 2002, a more modern carbon road bike from around 2008 and just recently a brand new road bike purchased from Mack Cycle & Fitness.

lots of positive things to say about the experience. first, i got a great deal. last year's model, when identical to this year's model at nearly half off is awesome.

then, even though i am too smart to get fitted, i did by rachel and it made my overall experience, both pre-sale, and riding that much better. thank you rachel!

I live in NJ and had been searching for an SE Big Flyer for my son. Because of COVID these bikes have become hard to come by. No bike shop local to me wanted to help me by putting me on waitlist. The all said good luck when I called.

I found one online here at Mack Cycles. I called to make sure they had it. Chris answered and said they had 1 left. I asked to purchase through phone and he was happy to help. Literally as he was taking my order someone was also purchasing it online. When he went up to tag it. It was being wrapped up for someone else.

Chris had to call me with the bad news. But he came to an agreement with me to help me get one for my son in their next shipment. He called to update me every 2 weeks until he finally called with the great news they were getting 1 and if I wanted it still it was mine!!

We just received it today. My sons is thrilled. I can t say enough good things about my experience and Chris! Thank you!!

Mack Cycle is the best bicycle shop I have ever been too! The people who work there are amazing and super attentive. Just recently, I decided to get a bike fit because I was very uncomfortable on my newly purchased bike. Chris the bike fit guru was beyond amazing. He took the time to hear me out and understand what my pain points were. He provided insight as to why I was having so much pain and the modifications that were needed so that I can ride pain free. I wasn't aware how important a bike fit really is. Aside from the additional cost incurred to bring my bike to those modifications, which was worth every penny; hands down Chris was the best investment I made on my bike! Also Rachel was amazing, she took the time to explain and address any issues I had regarding the service being done the bike.

I highly recommend the Mack Cycle Team for their attentiveness to meet customer satisfaction. They are definitely one of a kind. They made sure to deliver beyond my expectations and my experience with them was amazing. I now have my go to shop.

I wish I could give TEN stars to the amazing people at Mack Cycles - in particular Sandy (who helped me buy the bike) and Chris (who helped fit the bike)!
I found a great deal on the Mack Cycles website for the perfect Quintana Roo triathlon bike - so I bought it online and Sandy made sure it was built up and ready for me when I flew into Miami (from Salt Lake City). Chris was ready to fit me to my new machine (On a Friday) - and I dropped the bike off Sat to race the Miami Man Long course (half-iron) on Sunday.
All the pieces came together - with 3rd-fastest bike split and 10th place overall in my age group - good enough for World s Qualification!
It was so fun racing on a brand new bike - every pedal crank and turnin the road was a new experience - and Sandy and Chris made the whole process as easy and enjoyable as I could imagine.
Whether you re in the Miami area or elsewhere, you have to check out Mack Cycles and their top-notch 10-star service.

I recently did the Biscayne Tri while on vacation from NYC. I headed over to Mack Cycle to pick up my registration and was so impressed with the place. They have everything you could possibly need for Tri athletes. I had forgotten some things back home and was able to replace what I needed at comparable and affordable prices like back home. Mary Jane was super helpful in showing me around. What a wonderful place!

Had my 1st ever actual bike fit last week (guru bike fit) with Chris, highly recommended. Very professional, attentive, observant and all around nice guy. The whole process took a few hours, interview and concerns, measurements and adjustments on the bike fit machine then transferred to my actual bike. One of the best things is that I felt welcomed and not just a customer. I didn't feel rushed, even with multiple adjustments to remedy my concerns on my bike. Rode my bike for the 1st time today and immediately felt the difference. Worth it.

FITTING PAIN to PERFORMANCE GAIN - During my time as a mountain biker, I was courted many times to have a bike fitting. It did not seem that necessary and often times friends were skeptical, so I never did it. Then I started road riding, so a fitting seemed like a good idea. My first fitter, who is from a shop other than Mack Cycle, was terrible and got zero results. The second fitter (also not Mack) sold me a new bike, so I knew this was the right sized frame. This fitting put me into bikefit hell. After months of not riding and a visit to the physician for anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxing pills I was able to ride again. Now along comes the Third fitter. He makes his run at it and then throws up his hands, without success, and says he can not do anything more to help me. Then I found Chris Pavon and Mack Cycle. That took 3 years!

Chris got results and solved the problem in 3 months!

Chris made measurements others had missed, he listened to me and collaborated with me. He was always on time, knowledgeable on a wide range of cycling matters and professional at all times.

I feel SO much better on my bike these days. My mileage is up dramatically and so are all my times! I have dropped weight and my cardio and muscle performance is at all time highs, for sure! I would say my average speed has increased 3 - 4 miles per hour. But, most importantly, I am no longer in pain.

awesome bike shop I brought my Gensis road bike because I had a problem with the bike shifting gears and they told me I need a front derailleur adjuster cable and a new chain for my bike so ask them must will cost me they told me about $65 said okay do it , man when I got my bike it shifts so perfect now ,was riding 10 miles a day since the fixed now 20 miles a day thanks love you all

Surprised after driving from 30 minutes away that they only service bikes bought at the location. We are backed up . Turned away from spending money because the specific bike wasn t bought from Mack. That should be a good thing, especially today. Bought many other bikes and items before, over many years.... thank you

I'm a long-time Mack Cycle customer but wanted to comment as to why. Every time I go in, no less than 4 people ask me if I need help, and all know what they're talking about. Last weekend I went for a flat tire workshop and got a personal session with Alex which was outstanding. The same week I had to take in my tri bike for its annual visit, and Robeiro helped me with a new chainring on the front. I had the best ride ever today with it. Finally, Mack Cycle really cares about the community and gives back. They were at this morning's Pinecrest Community Ride, complete with a mechanic and fun bikes to try. Rachel was particularly helpful! THANK YOU again for everything Mack Cycle!

Great place! Fixed my flat scooter tire in less than 20 mim for cheap!

Service was great, I was able to get everything done over the phone. Thomas and Ricardo were great at advising on what bike to buy for my 9 yr old son. My son is thrilled with his new bike.

I bought a Cannondale Slate from Mack Cycle through email communication. They were super friendly and very responsive throughout the entire process. There was a small hiccup with FedEx shipping and they were on top of it immediately and got everything straightened out right away. They even followed the tracking themselves and contacted me after delivery to make sure I had received it OK. Aside from great communication and support the price they sold me the bike for made me feel like I was stealing. Granted it was a leftover model from last year but I couldn't even find a used one cheaper for sale online. I highly recommend these guys if you are in the market for a bike and when my wife is due for a new bike these guys will definitely be on the short list.

Excellent customer service! I bought a new bike for my daughter and I couldn't be happier. 1st, the bike was a great deal, especially when they have been hard to come by during the COVID 19 pandemic. They were happy to answer all my questions on the phone and to make my life easy with the transaction. I needed adjustments to the bike and was helped out by Rachel. She was able to determine my issues, over the phone. She got me setup to bring the bike by, and the Mack Cycle team fixed it up in break-neck speed. This is why this place has been around for decades.

After speaking to Mgr. Ricardo. He understood the basis for my gripe. They promptly gave me my money back for the crappy service work. Listen, the bike shop has a large selection of goods for sale. A bit pricier then others, but they have to pay for the payroll somehow. The majority of the staff are helpful and nice. But when it comes to bike repairs. GO some where else near by. They don't deserve your repairs here. VERY POOR service and bad attitude from Luis and others in repair shop. They don't replace parts that they remove and then tell you that's the way it came in. Stop being a jerk and do your job better. Customers don't lie like you. You SHUMUCK! Needs to brush up on his selling and people skills. LUIS you are dragging a good store down. Change your attitude and start helping , or go find something else to do.

Been to the store 3 times and have never been greeted. Called today to see about getting a spoke replaced. You would think being a specialized dealer they would have a stock spoke. No deal, it has to be ordered. I own 7 bikes and none of them will ever be replaced or serviced by Mack Cycles.

i went today to get a small part for my bike computer .A person named Nixon went out of his way to find a small part that he had to look in his tool box and around the shop.at the end he found what I needed.its great that there is business like Mack Cycle that still care for there customers.

I had nothing but a great experience with Mack Cycle and Fitness, especially working with Sandy. Mack Cycle's had a bike that I had been searching around the U.S. for quite a while and they gave me a great deal on the bike! In addition, Sandy made the buying the process super easy as I live in California and was not able to see the bike in person. She sent pictures, gave me a detailed description of the bike, and when it came time to buy it, was very quick and shipped the bike within a couple of day of sending money. The bike arrived in great condition, was packaged super well, and I am now enjoying my Charge Grater bike around San Francisco. Thank you Sandy and the Mack team for a great experience!

Mack Cycle and Fitness was fantastic to work with! We bought three bikes from them and they were shipped out promptly and packaged professionally. Sandy and team were wonderful and even though I live in Colorado I ll be buying from them again!
