Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel Review

There are various reviews, but it is a hotel where you can stay at least once. Unlike the exterior, the interior has been renewed and is a furnishing product.

Employees are very very nice. The resort is absolutely beautiful. I had a great time.

Check in service was incredible. I left my coat in my car and without hesitation they got it and delivered to my room

Fantastic stay. Just overall amazing, lives up to the Fairmont name, with incredible rooms and spectacular hospitality. We got to walk Bear, the Canine Ambassador (black Labrador) and that really rounded out the trip for us dog lovers. Highly recommend.

Nice comfortable beds and very good service from all staff especially wh n our keycards were demagnetized. My son especially liked the indoor pool and hanging out in the hot pool outside. Very enjoyable.

Rooms are small, but that's too be expected from a building that is over 100 years old. Which also means the walls aren't well insulated, so you hear everything. Don't take a room near 873 (the supposed haunted room). So many people stop by to check it out at all hours of the night that you won't be able to sleep.

Beautiful place to visit, but they are almost as bad as working for Nazis, being the way they want you to look and dress

Incredible resort hotel! The ground are immaculate, the views stunning and the castle has a really home-like feel to it. The staff were all fabulous, from our server Rebecca at the restaurant the first night, Jason the bartender for a late night bevy the next, to the duty manager Emma who ensured everything was great during our stay and that our room was perfect.

Absolutely love the Fairmont experience at every one I stay at. It's really tough to beat!

Great Hotel for a few nights or just a walk in the mountains and lunch on the patio.

I'll preface my review with: his is not a four star hotel. During our stay at the Fairmont Inn located in Banff, Alberta, we experienced world-class service after our wedding. In addition to the scenery and atmosphere, the staff anticipated every need we may have and fulfilled them beyond our expectations. Upon check-in, the bellmen were ready and eager to help unload our luggage with care, show us to our room, and surprise us with wine and chocolates to enjoy our first evening. The staff arranged for a dog sitting service that was provided so that we may enjoy the surrounding trials and natural beauty of the Canadian Rockies. After our day of adventure we returned to sleep in an impeccably clean suite with lush pillows, fine soaps, and incredible views of the mountains. Our next morning started with the best breakfast buffet we have ever indulged on next to fairytale views, as snow fell onto the surrounding green. We will return many more times to honor each other, our marriage, and the beautiful establishment that is the Fairmont Inn in Banff.

As you would expect, the Banff Springs is exceptional. I'm easy to please at a hotel, but I'm very impressed by the staff's friendliness and attitude; they will do anything to make your stay great. I'm also very happy with how comfortable the beds are, and the rooms seem very well soundproofed. An enjoyable stay overall.

Staying here is an experience. It is much more than a hotel. You get to be a part of history. The service is exceptional. Yes the price is extremely high but you get what you pay for in this instance.

I stay at mountain view room couple night and the view was spectacular and nice and clean
went 3 restaurants in the hotel all the restaurant has there on taste and style very good
price is a little bit higher than others but It's worth it!

Loved it. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at and they are very accommodating in every way. They even text you periodically to find out what else they can do to make your stay better.

My wife wanted to go for afternoon tea. I being a guy wasn't as thrilled about it but I indulged her wishes. Turns out that the food was good, decent amount of it and we were happy with the variety and the tastes of all the different things that they served. The server who happened to be English was wonderful and very helpful. Best part was my wife loved it and even my construction careered self quite enjoyed it as well.

Great hotel in a perfect setting. You owe it to yourself to stay here

Buffet lunch is also good, it is difficult to get this try.

This place made me feel royal! There is history in the castle, beauty in its design. There are majestic views inside and outside is spectacular as well.

I have loved visiting this hotel since a child. It's a beautiful piece of history and I appreciate being able to walk the hallways and explore. It would be great if the local rate was low enough so more could enjoy a stay, even if only offered at specific times of the year.

Didn't stay here, but just came and walked around. Nice shorter trails to walk. You can walk around and look at the hotel. You might have to park pretty far away.

Room with a great mountain view. Had wings and beer at the pub. Service went that extra mile. Always a great stay. That's why we keep coming back. Plus the history! So many great people have stayed. Such great photos. Good to be a part of it.

Hotel and drinks were great. We had a convention there the catered food we had there was 3 out of 5 stars. It just not match up to the hotels quality.

An exceptional place to stay. Make sure you try the hot pool. Coffee bar in the grand lobby is awesome. Excellent service. Expensive, but worth it.

Consistently great service staff, and very welcoming. Unique among world class destinations I think, because of how at home in the mountains it makes you feel. A huge place that feels cozy and intimate, without being crowded or cramped.

Gold floor service is out of this world. Best experience of my life.

No handicap stalls in bathrooms ... Forced to use last stall, leave my wheelchair outside the stall door & try to reach & maneuver the toilet seat

Beautiful, went for the best hot chocolate in Banff as I read online and nobody that worked there could help me figure out which cafe it was. After checking online again, I learnt that it was closed. Would have been nice for staff to tell me rather than just telling me to sit at this cafe and spend money. It is however architecturally beautiful and serene.

Tourist attraction. Friendly staff shared some stories fo the history of the hotel with the kids. Great views and very scenic.

Had a snack (rundle burger and seafood chowder) at the Rundle room which was delicious

Very clean hotel with plenty of bars and restaurants. If you want to escape the downtown to have a more chill upscale environment, this is the place to go.

Attended a conference here. The hotel is like a medieval castle. Very beautiful.

The building is old but in the landscape. Behind it, Bow waterfall flows and the location was also the best.

I didn't stay here, I camped, but this hotel is stunning. You must walk through it. And it's close to the Bow Falls.

We had afternoon tea at the Fairmont and Our service was impeccable. Such a beautiful building and atmosphere to enjoy a day with my sister.

While visiting in the colder season it does take some time for the water to heat up. Those looking for a hot shower after a day of hiking giving yourself time to allow the water to heat. But everything else has been just amazing. A little older piece of property but wonderfully maintained. The locker rooms by the pool are just brilliant.

The hotel was very very nice. My wife and I didn't stay because it was quite expensive but we walk around the ballrooms and visited the heritage hall.

Me and my wife had dinner on December 24th on Christmas Day The food was great!

This place will only get 2 stars: one for location and two for the main hotel cleanliness. As far as communication goes, it is nonexistent. We checked in today for a room we booked weeks ago. We were not told that the room isn t part of the main hotel but in a building next to the main hotel. So we walk over to the hotel room and we find out the room has no air conditioning After calling the front desk, they advised that we do not have A/C in our room but we do have several fans. Wouldn t this be communicated to any customer prior to just assigning them where they will be staying for a few days in the middle of summer when it gets HOT?! Not only that, but the tub didn t drain either - so you shower or bathe in your own filth.

Sorry Fairmont, this will be the first and last time I would ever stay on your property. Thank god the views are great.

the Queen stays here, it's suitable to normal residential requirements.

If you want to see a service model at work stay here. Well trained staff, helpful and accommodating. Room was overpriced for size but the hotel is full of charm and class.
